problems!! The service requested was February 2023 I had Jeff Sullivan which apparently no longer works for free flow come give me an estimate. We have a pump room that is moist and creates black mold usually during the fall and winter months. We have bleached and used vinegar in the past and now have a fan and dehumidifier and a ceiling fan to keep air flowing per free flows advice. The quote from Jeff was over 7,000 to Jack hammer the floor up along the entire inside floor and add stones for when the water dripped and then to also dig a sump pump so that water from the surface would just fall into the pit and eject out with an ejector pump. Then to go outside and sig a drain to the center of the yard to allow any excess water to run away from the home. Then once that was completed we'd have an entire house fogging of any mold spurs and a promise of no mold returning as long as we kept the room fan and dehumidifier working. Which I have done so. I scheduled with free flow in for April 2023 because I wanted to vent the house after the house was basically sprayed throughout with chemicals for mold. Our appointment was canceled and bumped as someone had an injury and they had to reschedule me to accommodate the injury. I was scheduled for a Tues Wed appointment and possibly Thursday if needed and they came on a Monday. I was not able to stay as I had an appointment and needed to leave. They asked to look at the pump room and I was able to get my dad to stay while I left. Apparently plans changed they looked at the pump room and assured me the quote was wrong from Jeff and they did not feel the original quote was correct and the dig needed to be outside not inside. Me being in a rush to get to a doctors appointment was not really in the frame of mind to sit and chat about a past employer with these guys of how the job was not quoted incorrectly and it's outside work not inside work. I listened and they made it clear they needed to dig along the blocks on the outside and eject the water to the middle of the yard and to spray along the house. Then do the inside mold fogging another day. I'm like well I want the mold not to return so if you're telling me that the quote was incorrect then let me know what the new quote will be and we can go from there! I looked at Kenny and I'm like it's not going to be higher prices then this right I assume cheaper and he said to talk to the office about the price. Apparently they were fine getting started on the job without the new quote so I oked them and trusted what they told me . Kenny assured me he knew what he was doing and this was the right move for the house and the mold problem and this would fix the issue. Then I get a email from the office while I'm at a dr appointment saying to sign the new documents . I didn't because I did not get to read it yet and I wanted to make sure to look at it and see it itemize and what the price would be. I'm assuming a lot cheaper for half the work. Then Ashley calls saying she needs it signed right away so the guys can get started on the job. I'm like hummm I think they do get started . So I assume I'm just signing for the outside work to be done not a price as I'm thinking we can talk about a price once I call her back so I sign the document to get started on the work. Later when I get home I print the document and see the price is the same well over 7,000 dollars and half the work later I'm realizing wow that's a lot of money when all the work that was done was really the last part of the original job bided and their needs to be some kind of compassion to me . So I call the office and speak to Dan he's not accommodating or empathetic in any way to a customers concerns! He assure me the work could be bid higher for the outside job I chuckle and say NOWAY you need to give me at least 2-3 grand back no way that job is as much you did not even do half the work quoted one the original contract???!!! Really???! I'm like what scammers! So a week goes by and we are mowing and the cap outside on the vent gets sucked into my lawn mower and I call Dan he tells me no way it's their fault I can replace it I'm like um no!! So after many phone calls disagreements and no responses from the office or Dan I email him and he finally tells me someone will come out next week. No one then the next week no one then like a month nope no one !!! Finally like 2 months it gets replaced.! Long story short the fall time is back and the mold is coming back. I've messaged Kenny 2 times since the holiday weekend and he told me Ashley would reach out to me. Oh also I had to hire and attorney just to get my paperwork prices detailed as they say they can not itemize a bill??? I wanted to look at the first bid and the second bid pricing. I'm a person who gives others the benefit of the doubt but the office people have not shown any remorse for anything they've failed to do!!! read more

FreeFlow Environmental came to my house on an extremely hot day (95 degrees plus) to do a septic cleanout. Paul and Zack had to dig to find the septic tank and the small square lid. They dug for almost 1 hour 45 minutes. It was hard, exhausting work. Eventually they found what they were looking for and were able to clean out the tank. They were polite, harding working men who deserve praise for what they accomplished. I highly am annoyed by FreeFlow. DO NOT USE THEM! I got my septic "inspected" by them prior to buying a house and they issued a report and everything saying everything is fine and and they gave me a drawing of where my septic tank is. I only need to install a riser for the cost of $1400 but then when I hired them to do the work the driver was out here looking for the tank for 2 hours. This was beginning of December and they still have not gotten back to me so when I called mid-December they increased the price for excavation WHEN THEY COULDN'T even find where the tank was. How is this company licensed to do business when they will issue out a report that is not valid? read more

Do not use FreeFlow. Unprofessional and untrustworthy. Initially, FreeFlow seemed like a good decision for mold remediation. The technician arrived on time to give us a quote to "bomb" the whole house. We accepted. But then my wife and I considered the possible dangers of chemical exposure for our 8-month-old child. SO, I called FreeFlow to modify the mold remediation - to remove mold only from the basement, instead of "bombing" the whole house - and not to cancel the service. I called twice, and twice they said that they would call back. I never received a return call. Some explanation instead of ghosting me would have been preferable. I hate giving them even one star. This place was dismissive and rude and basically horrible. I kept having to describe the issue over and over to someone who was basically just answering the phone. They made me send emails and then when I would call to see if they had been read and they always acted like they didn't know who I was. After two weeks, when pressed, the girl just said they were too busy and the project manager isn't interested. I had a scheduled project date a month out on our basement. Simple terms-we needed a second sump pit. Received 2 confirmation text messages to which free flow didn't show up both days (I had taken off of work) contacted freeflow to which I was told they would be able to come out Friday. I contacted them again on Thursday to be sure they were coming out on Friday. I was told that they wouldn't be able to make it again. All three times I had to contact them and they had 0 contact with me to let me know that they were going to have to reschedule. DO NOT USE! I used them for septic inspection of home prior to purchase "Scott" was her all of q5 minutes flushed the toilets. Ran the water in sinks and walked perimeter of back yard. Never checked tank said was not accessible. It was I dug it out in 10 minutes. Have had problems since already out about 2k and going to be more! and he lied on inspection also! Free Flow came out for my estimate the same day I called. Then says they could complete the work the next day. It was a small job extending my downspout drainage. But the guy was out the next day and fixed it. It was raining and muddy but he did the job anyway. He cleaned up the the area when done. All in all I'm very impressed. I thought price was a little high. However, they responded quickly, I didn't have to wait. So the next 2 days of rain we had, my downspout worked as it should. So it was worth it. The phone cal the next day checking to see if I was satisfied was nice too. I had another company come out for an estimate prior to Free Flow. They rescheduled, workers smelled like marijuana when they came to work, the job was supposed to be done in 3 days and ended up taking 5, they covered my cleanout valve with cement causing me to have to pay a plumber to come see why my drains were clogged. The owner took money off my balance to take my bad review down so dont trust the reviews on this company. They told me they'd patch some walls and make sure no water was coming in that was in a few spots and they did not do that and what do you know, I'm still getting water!!! $10,000 down the drain and now I have to find another company to come patch walls or dig around the house and fix the walls. I had a certified inspector/project manager come out from FreeFlow to look at a basement foundation repair. The gentlemen said he would email me a quote in a couple days. Two weeks later, still no quote. I contacted the secretary on two separate occasions. She was nice and tried to contact the inspector/project manager. I Later received a phone call stating the message was sent to him but I still wasn't given a response regarding the quote. Received a voicemail from a new person from FreeFlow asking if a different technician could come out and take a better look for a more appropriate quote. Instead of giving FreeFlow a second chance at fixing their mistake, I have decided to go with a different company who can follow through. The company came out as scheduled, and inspected the system after having the septic pumped. They exposed the distribution box, and it was plainly visible the box was totally impacted, splitting apart, and disconnected from the septic pipe. They quickly replaced the box, replaced and reconnected all pipes, and then aerated the field. They had removed the sod before digging so when they were finished I could hardly tell they had been there. Total cost from beginning to end was $6,000.00, much better than $25,000.00 for a new system. I have a warranty on the work, and everything seems to be working great! I almost wrote this company off after a missed appointment, but so glad I gave them another chance. read more

Dave at FreeFlow is fantastic! Our septic was seeping up into our yard, which was a nasty, soupy, smelly mess. We called at least a dozen companies and their only solutions were to pump the tank (we have this done yearly, so it's clearly not the problem), pack some clay over the area where it was seeping up (basically this is putting a band-aid on it), or replace the entire septic field (major expense!). Dave from FreeFlow came out and did an inspection. (He was the only one who wanted to do an inspection - the other guys I called wouldn't even do one when asked.) Dave diagnosed the issue and came up with a real solution to our problem. He came out the next week and did the work, which consisted of hydro-jetting the lines and aerating the field. I assumed that our yard would be completely torn up, but when he left, we could barely tell that he was there; any holes they dug were covered up so well that you couldn't even tell where they were. Within one week, the nasty, soupy, smelly mess was completely gone! Thank you FreeFlow!!! If you have any septic issues, I would highly recommend FreeFlow. Our septic field was leaking under our new retaining wall. The county health dept said we could not replace the field and since our lot was so small the only choice we had was a new technology, an ATU system (made by Aero-tech) which is a large tank placed in the ground, that continually spins the affluent creating oxygen to clean the field. This was something new to me, but Dave knew all about these systems because he had built his own. They were required by the state to take the class first before the install and did a phenomenal job, adding a new D-Box and piping as well, making sure everything was level and neat. Very professional. My neighbor came by and watched them and later expressed that he was extremely impressed with their work. He said he noticed that they were fast, neat, professional and really enjoyed the work they were doing. Could not have asked for a better job!! We highly recommend them!! read more

i was in the process of buying a house in valparaiso in, the bank required a septic inspection. the home inspector recommend free flow environmental. i called 3 different septic inspectors, they all told me the same thing, open the tank suck it out, check it for cracks or crumbling, inspect the baffles, probe the field for proper drainage, and make a diagram of where exactly the field is. well for anyone who is a first time septic system owner let me tell you, be there when the inspection is happening!!!!! the day my inspection was supposed to take place it was raining so free flow cancelled, i figured ok how can you clear liquids when it's raining. the next appointment i couldn't be there because i work to pay for the inspection huh. so to make a super long story short, all free flow did was probe the field find half of it on the diagram and flush the toilet. so when i had to open the tank 2 days after closing on the home because the toilets stopped flushing it was completely full!!! septic tanks are not supposed to be full!!! after 15,000 dollars and 5 months of only using the bathroom in my new home showering and washing clothes at the parents house, i finally have a new septic. for anyone who might need septic service there are many other companies out there, i know from all the ones i spoke with. and after you try to sue this company you cant because they have in the contract you sign that if they are lazy and dont do their job you cant sue them for more than you paid for the inspection... hope this helps someone. read more
