Called them after my windhshiled got a crack from the 118 freeway (flying rocks from the trucks) The crack was getting longer as the the day goes by and called D & R autoglass same day and got an appointment thr very next day. I also chose this place because of Yelp reviews and it took me to this auto shop on the side of the street. Well, once you pull in there's a plain sign that says auto glass and a big red arrow pointing toward the alley. Drive a bit further and you'll come up to a tiny place that looks like a cross between an impound lot and a refugee camp (OK, that's kinda mean). For better directions, just turn left onto Daisy Ave. and turn right into the alley, it's right there. But all joking aside, Marco tapped on my glass, told me to leave the car there and that it'd be ready within the hour. He valet'd the car in and I went to go grab lunch with my friend. Came back after an hour and Marco went over the repair process, telling me not to do a car wash for a couple days, and then we went to go pay the price as promised (plus Yelp discount) over the phone. Marco was really nice, the job was professionally done, and I wouldn't hesitate coming back here again. It was easily the cheapest price out of all the other places I was quoted. read more

This is a long overdue review for Marco for my windshield repair. Very honest, trustworthy guy! I had a star crack on it that BMW was insisting I replace for my whole windshield ($600) . Anyway, Marco was super nice, talented and supportive in helping me get it fixed instead of having to shell out a crazy amount of money to BMW Lease return. He knows his stuff. He fixed it without charging me an arm and leg (definitely less than $50). Very reasonable priced, almost underpriced for the great work he did. I had a chip in my windshield and I was SUPER worried about it as I saw it start to turn into a small crack in the dead center of my windshield. I went to D&R and they fixed my windshield. My car just got broken into the day before. Passenger's glass shattered. Called the Mercedes dealer to get a quote, a shocking $1000+!! So nope! That wasn't an option at all. I took my BMW's cracked windshield here after reading reviews. After he looked at it he said he might be able to fix it. I asked for clarification and he stated that because of the angle that the rock hit the glass it might not take. After spending an hour there, he was right it didn't take. The chip is still there and doesn't look any different than before except that it wasn't going to increase in size. My disappointment? In the fact he charged full price even though it wasn't fixed. I asked for a discount and he declined. I would probably try again if I get another crack. read more

Had my windshield replaced here TWICE!! Marco is amazing and very accommodating. I did some shopping around and his rates were by far the best. The second time around my car was in the shop, Marco was good enough to go offsite to help me install it saving me towing fees. I highly recommend D&R and will definitely be back. P.S. I yelped places for a windshield replacement and saw this was the highest rated place in the area. Ive had to replace a windshield in a different car before and went to a place on Mission near downtown and wasn't satisfied so wanted to make sure I got it done at a place where others were satisfied. The most recent review was of someone I know so that was a good sign . When I got to D & R, I was given a price that I thought was very fair and made an appt to come back later in the afternoon as they had to order the part. I was told it would take about an hour and a half. It ended up taking about an hour and 15 min. I didn't get the name of the person who helped me but he was mild mannered, friendly, and professional. This is a small father-son business next to a mechanic in Pasadena. My windshield got cracked by the passenger seat airbag and looked like it needed a complete replacement. I called D&R Auto Glass and they set me up right away with an available time and were very personable over the phone. They even called before my appointment apologizing that they will be 5-10 minutes late! I showed up and they took a look at my windshield and confirmed that I'd need a new windshield entirely and that it would be ready in 45min-1hr. And sure enough, I got a call within the hour that it was done. I couldn't even tell the difference between my new and old windshields. They were very knowledgeable and made me feel confident about it. The price was very good (was expecting over $250 based on Google search but ended up being less than $150) and the service was fantastic. Hopefully I won't need to go back anytime soon but if I do, I will be back here. I highly recommend this place if you need a windshield replaced! read more

If Bay Area traffic wasn't painful enough, on my recent work trip ~7pm someone broke the passenger window on my car to steal the bag containing my work laptop. I tried to find a 24/7 mobile place in SF, but had no luck after encountering false advertising about 24/7 ops from 4 different places. I had online meetings the next day (and no backup computer), so I couldn't wait around for an auto glass places to open in the morning. Calling around the next day from the small Eastern Sierra town where I'm staying, as I feared there was no way my window would be fixed in the near term without paying for a dealer window. It would take an entire week to get an after market replacement. With bears and unscrupulous humans I did not want to leave my car at one of the Sierra trailheads for an entire weekend day with a duct-tape window. I called D&R, who said they could fix my window the same day for $115 ($130 less and 3 days sooner than in town). I wasn't excited about the drive to Pasadena, but at least it would be fixed. Shortly after I hung up one of their glass technicians, Marcos, called and offered to meet me at his house after work, which would cut at least an hour off my drive each way. I met Marcos and his dad, Dario, at their house and they replaced my window in their driveway that evening. They were both very nice (we chatted the whole time) and the work went smoothly. It's rare to receive this kind of service and I am most grateful. read more

These guys are great. I was quoted a way lower price for a windshield than anywhere else I called. They were nice, polite, expedient and good. I was a little skeptical at first, since they only have a truck and a small area behind a custom harley shop, beside a car detail operation. So no big fancy, impressive facilities going on, but they do what they say and do it right. I got a Honda Civic windshield replaced with one as good or better than original. They told me they offer lifetime warranty, but so far see no reason to use it- clean job and quietly sealed. I may be wrong, but they appear to be a father and son team. I believe they will come to your location if you're around Pasadena area. Anyway, if anyone deserves your money for putting a windshield in, it's these guys.
