We came on a weekday and drove around town for lunch . After lunch, we got some delicious ice cream, sat down and enjoyed it !

Local establishment. Always has a pretty good crowd. Lots of fried foods and ice cream choices. Unfortunately prices keep increasing...like many places.

Out in the Cato/Weefsport area, there isn't a ton of choice as far as food goes. You'll find more farmland than houses and people, so the choices are slim pickings. DBs is a small, seasonal drive in located on the Erie Canal Bike Trail, and I was pleasantly surprised with their food. My wife and I moved to Cato a couple years ago. As I said, slim pickings for food options. There's 3 or 4 places to eat, otherwise, you're driving a half hour to a closer city for some food. I'd passed by DBs a handful of times and kept saying I had to try them. I've lived in small towns in Upstate before, and they all have a version of a drive in type place for food and ice cream, and they are either amazing or terrible. I finally decided to go to DBs probably a year or so after I moved to the area, and now I'm a loyal customer of theirs. The staff is always friendly and professional and everything I've eaten from them has been great, far beyond what I expected. My favorite dish from them is a buffalo chicken wrap. Wraps can be difficult, some people aren't very good at putting them together, but DBs always nails it. They have great fries and my wife loves their fish sandwiches. They are seasonal, like a lot of these drive in are, so you gotta get your fix in during the spring-early fall seasons. Prices are more than fair and they give you a ton of food. Definitely recommend giving them your business if you're in the area during their season.

Specials! The flag day Sundae sounds good with vanilla soft serve, whipped cream, strawberries and blueberries only. $6.55 :)

Good for ice cream. Not a lot of seating available. Food (other than ice cream) seems a little bland. Servers are always working hard.

There was live music in the back room, so we opted for a booth in the front room so we could have quiet dinner conversation. Alisha was great. She explained the menu, the Mac & cheese, and the dairy bar in the adjacent bldg. We ordered dinner and it was out quickly. Hubby had the entree of brisket & pulled pork with a side of veggies and the Mac & cheese. The Mac & Cheese is so, so good. We ordered some to take home for my son! My balsamic chicken entree was delicious - I loved the side of carrots & zucchini- very fresh & unique! Great dinner, no hesitation to come back here. And, we did have to wander over to the dairy bar and check out the ice cream too! On the way, we noticed lots of outdoor seating and maybe a little stage too. There is live music regularly! Hubby got a shake & I had a dish of hard ice cream. It hit the spot! Thanks so much!

I was low key having a rough time after working so late but this incredible meal turned things around: the strawberry salad was so fresh and well-balanced and I simply couldn't NOT order something from their meat case in the front, which offers local cuts. I got the tenderloin medium rare with broccolini and mashed potatoes. They did something TRULY special here. Goat cheeseinthemash. Or something. Like a blue cheese that was a goat cheese? Idk but it was truly genius. I haven't stopped thinking about it. My waitress was also tending the bar and did an amazing job, I felt so well looked after and the bar patrons stayed entertained. I only saw her visiting the various tables so props for handling that many people solo! I kinda can't wait to come back up here for work if it means I get to visit this place when I mentioned I planned to go to sackett's table for dinner, my customer immediately knew I was in for a great time. When you have such a good rep with locals and visitors, it's bc you're doing something right.

We arrived just as a local band was getting ready for a three hour set (4-7pm) on a Sunday afternoon. Cover charge was $5.00 each. There were quite a few people there, but there was still room to sit in the spacious outdoor deck/stage area. There's also an outside bar area to grab a drink, instead of having to run inside to the regular bar. Food was available, but we did not try anything. The indoor vathrooms were pretty small, but served the purpose. The music was very good, the sound was loud enough, without blaring out of the speakers. There's a roof over the outside deck, but it's in different sections, so the sun does shine though in areas, making it a little hot when it's hitting you. Our only complaint would be the amount of people that were smoking. There is no way to get away from the cigarette smoke wafting in your face. Other than that, it seems like a great venue to enjoy some live music, a drink and a bite to eat. We definitely plan on going back.

As always, it is a great environment with dining room, patio or sunroom options. Wine or beer only, and wine prices are quite reasonable. I read up on the menu and discovered they offered lamb chops which is one of my absolute favourites. A taste of home for me! Friendly and efficient staff welcomed us and showed us to our table. So far so good. Very nice young woman looked after us. My wife ordered the rigatoni and I had the chops. She loved her rigatoni so much she's finishing it off 2 days later and still loving it. Sadly my dish was a bit of a disappointment. My two large chops were extremely fatty. It's the kind you simply can't cut through on a slippery plate. Trying to separate what little meat there was from the fat was impossible so I had to give up and bring it home to a cutting board and an extremely sharp knife. I haven't tried to eat it yet but it looks as fatty as the first. Both had been totally covered by a condiment that I think should have been served in a separate container to allow the diner to regulate the amount desired. The base was a pilf which made trying to cut the chops even more difficult because every time the meat or the knife slipped, the table was showered with grains....all a bit slapstick....! As I previously said, my wife loved her meal and the previous visit was epic so I hate to criticise but I'm just trying to be honest and fair. I think $45 for a couple of very fatty chops with not much meat and smothered in a vinaigrette you might not like is a bit cheeky... In different circumstances I would have sent it back. Oh well, you live and learn...
