Out in the Cato/Weefsport area, there isn't a ton of choice as far as food goes. You'll find more farmland than houses and people, so the choices are slim pickings. DBs is a small, seasonal drive in located on the Erie Canal Bike Trail, and I was pleasantly surprised with their food. My wife and I moved to Cato a couple years ago. As I said, slim pickings for food options. There's 3 or 4 places to eat, otherwise, you're driving a half hour to a closer city for some food. I'd passed by DBs a handful of times and kept saying I had to try them. I've lived in small towns in Upstate before, and they all have a version of a drive in type place for food and ice cream, and they are either amazing or terrible. I finally decided to go to DBs probably a year or so after I moved to the area, and now I'm a loyal customer of theirs. The staff is always friendly and professional and everything I've eaten from them has been great, far beyond what I expected. My favorite dish from them is a buffalo chicken wrap. Wraps can be difficult, some people aren't very good at putting them together, but DBs always nails it. They have great fries and my wife loves their fish sandwiches. They are seasonal, like a lot of these drive in are, so you gotta get your fix in during the spring-early fall seasons. Prices are more than fair and they give you a ton of food. Definitely recommend giving them your business if you're in the area during their season.

This place is pure Americana. Good old fashioned food at amazingly good prices. The haddock sandwich was great. Good fries and friendly service. We were there on a busy Saturday and they were a little slow getting customers through the line. After I ordered, I wasn't sure if I should go sit down or wait by the counter for my food. There was no number or receipt given. We sat outside and they brought the food to us. Great food, good ice cream, reasonable prices. Definitely worth jumping off the Thruway for lunch if you have a little extra time. I'll be back next summer.

Huge fresh haddock sandwich with two sides.

Good for ice cream. Not a lot of seating available. Food (other than ice cream) seems a little bland. Servers are always working hard.

Delicious food with fast friendly service. Burger was fresh. Asked for hot dog bun to be grilled, & they happily complied.

Their season is April 1st to October 31st. If Spring comes early they may open early. You know it's Spring in Weedsport when DBs opens!

It is not often that I will grant a chain fast food restaurant five stars. The fact of the matter,…read moreunless I get horrible service, I usually don't rate them worth a review. Tonight though was a different story. After a long day of work my family decided to get a quick bite out. Since Wendy's was donating 15% of their profits to Toy's for Tot's we chose to go there. Never before in fast food, have we seen such friendliness , professionalism and cleanliness in such an establishment (especially on an evening shift). As for the food, it was hot, fresh and made to look like it does on the ads! Although the price was a bit higher than the competition, the quality made it worthwhile! This place is right off the highway, and it is Cortaca weekend! By all means the place should have been trashed! But it was the opposite. This establishment seems to take a different approach than the normal fast food stereotype. For those passing through and stopping at the gateway to our community, the employees of Wendy's tonight proved to be excellent ambassadors! I hope they keep up the good work all of the time! P.S. It is only the beginning of November, the holiday season isn't even in full swing and that donation box was already full! So more kudos to the community of Cortland for your generosity! Keep at this as well!

Everyone that works here either is legally identified as being mentally disabled, or they're all…read morejust completely dumb and lack the brain capacity to do anything more than work at this place. It's McDonald's, so you know what to generally expect and you know how garbage it is for your body, that's obvious. This all started with a double quarter pounder meal with a Coke Zero sugar. I get the food through a delivery service so I didn't see the inside of the place at this time, but it's pretty disorganized and tables have always been filthy. Bathrooms are the same story. The coke I got wasn't my Coke, it was actually a root beer, and also without a straw. So already I was frustrated. Then came the undercooked fries. Nowhere close to being the golden crispy that you'd anticipate. Everytime I've come to this location it's always been the same story with the fries. Always undercooked. Always. Then the burger. It was warm which I'd expect from delivery, but it was also... UNDERCOOKED! So somehow they managed to mess up my whole meal. Fries awful, drink wasn't what I ordered and lacked a straw, and the burger should've been used as a way to torture. The location has been awful for years, and it's clear there has yet to be any improvement, let alone the quality and such staying the same. It's actually gotten worse. This is one of the few times where everyone from the GM, all the way down to the window licker in the back doing dishes and taking out the trash needs to be fired and replaced. Save yourself the headache and frustration and find a less awful McDonald's at the nearby Victor location, the mediocre Farmington location, or somewhere else.

That's one thing, but also maybe they're short staff for the majority of it, who knows? The staff though was very friendly and we didn't have any issues with ordering, but it did take some time for the food to come out, mainly because of the frappe. The person told us it would be a minute, but took longer than anticipated. No major issues, but an apology for waiting would have been nice. Our orders came out right, and by surprise, we got medium fries without ordering them, but I looked at it as a treat.
