    Jalapeno Poppers

Some good food, huge beer selection, overcooked burgers. We stopped by Potters Farm to Fork at Port Byron, NY in July 2024. Reviews were somewhat mixed but mostly OK and there weren't many choices around anyway. Taking a look at the menu we were immediately impressed by an enormous beer selection. We tried Sour Summer Haze IPA and it was excellent. For appetizers we ordered Jalapeno Poppers and a cup of chili. Jalapeno Poppers came quickly, were delicious, and went well with the beer. Chili never came. We ordered burgers for entrees and based on reviews explicitly asked to make sure they were cooked medium-rare and medium. We haven't finished Jalapeno Poppers yet and the entrees came. Both beef burgers ordered were fully well-done :( I couldn't believe it. We explicitly asked to make them right and they did not. It's not a rocket science to make a right temperature burger...Oh, well. After we almost finished our meals the waiter brought the chili that was ordered as an appetizer... I tried it, it tasted more like thick tomato sauce with some chunks of meet rather than chili. The waiter apologized for the mistakes, chili was taken off the bill, and we got a 15% discount on the bill for overcooked burgers. It's nice that at least they take responsibility for the problems but I would prefer a rightly cooked burger than a discount. It's hard to recommend this restaurant based on our experience but as mentioned, there were good points too :) Hopefully, the restaurant will improve based on this other reviews. Food ordered Jalapeno Poppers - fresh and delicious. Chili - came at the end and wasn't good. Cowboy Burger - would be great if done medium as ordered. #88 Knox Burger - would be great if done medium-rare as ordered. Smothered Balsamic Chicken Burger Dinner - was very good, my son liked it and finished in no time. Kids Chicken Fingers - good.

This restaurant is adorable, the food and drinks are amazing! The staff is friendly and the food and drinks came out quick. I highly recommend this cute little place , very country themed and always had country music playing which was a nice touch

Went here for Mom's Birthday and they have an extraordinary deal for wings on birthdays. Free wings up to your age (limit of 50) with purchase of $35 or more. The wings were big and cooked to perfection. Service was really good and I really liked the country style ambiance! Prices are decent overall great place to eat!

Only my second time here. Would definitely go back. The chicken wings were spot on (which they have a birthday special for) and the beer list has to be one of the best in the area. (Blew me away actually). Service was over the top also. Hope to head back soon for more wings and trivia night.

Casual dinner in port Byron, not far of the Erie Canal trail. We stopped in for lunch after a Morning of riding. It was packed--waitress said it's the first time she's seen a full restaurant at lunch! WE got their 'signature' Mac-n-cheese (with pulled pork) and a grilled cheese sandwich. Food came out quickly. Everything was tasty. Better than standard diner food.

Oh my goodness. We're traveling from San Antonio, Texas to Vermont. I was looking for REAL food off the highway. Stopping here was the best decision of the trip. Thank you Little Baby Jesus for Good People and Food Made Right. My faith in humanity is renewed.

Stopped here on the way back from a road trip. Was worth driving a few miles off the way. Definitely what I would call comfort food, and friendly service. Also very kid friendly. There's also a nice ice cream stand next door.

Wow! Worth the very short trip off I 90. Delicious grilled cheese, balsamic chicken sandwich, poutine, Mac salad and Mac and cheese!

    Hidden gem!

The food and ambiance was nothing to write home about. We sat in the front in a booth and it was depressing to me. Service was satisfactory.

Homestyle food, enough to take home leftovers and a great price. Big parking lot; was able to pull in with our RV.

She was very friendly, knowledgable, and willing to work around my schedule to talk via phone, email , Skype or in person. I procrastinated on picking out the ceremony music and she was very helpful in sending me a list of common choices for various parts of the ceremony. She has many traditional and more modern songs. She can also learn a new one for you if the sheet music is available. Our guests were taken away to another place when they heard her play during our ceremony. We received many compliments on her and it was the last piece that made our ceremony and cocktail hour very romantic and intimate. You will be very pleased if you hire Esther, the Elegant Harp.

I enjoyed the flatbread pizza, largely due to the flatbread itself. I have noticed a large void of good pizza crust in this area and surrounding villages, so this scratched that itch. The fried pickles were bar food at its best. A crisp, spear, rendition instead of the flimsy pickle chips found in many diners. They make their own dressings and the blue cheese dressing alone will bring me back. The fries were also good, but the margaritas could use some work. The mix tastes like gatorade, so still drinkable, but if the homemade nuance from that crave-worthy blue cheese dressing could be applied, it would be a lovely elevation and bring me back more than my budget should allow. The music on Thursday at their first strings and wings was F*#$ing fantastic!! I did not catch the performers name, but folks, come with cash for tips because this artist brought his A game. Multi-genre, great guitar skills, and a fabulous voice. We sat in the dining because the bar area is a bit small for eating, but we could hear him perfectly and it made the night. This event with the crowd spread them thin and tested the kitchen, but besides a "relaxed" pace of the food coming out, there was no impact to service and everyone was lovely. We must support these local gems if we want them in our backyard. So while I will be a thorn in their side trying to push for an upgraded cocktail experience, I will also be a devout local advocating for my community to be the same. Well done Uncle J's!
