Very cool place! Decor is top notch, and I like that they have music videos playing on their TVs. Although we sat inside, I think they have a rooftop patio, as well as a bar that's half inside/half outside, which is also pretty cool. Overall captivating appearance! On to the yummyness... I was nervous about going here, as this place seems to be centered around crazy burgers and BBQ like food... BUT, I had the veggie Mac with no mushrooms, and it was DELICIOUS. Never had I had a Mac like that before, I'm saddened I don't live in the area! The servers also use iPads/tablets to take the orders, which is kinda weird but I bet it helps their fast service, because the food came out real quick! Make sure you read the menu closely, it's rather confusing because they charge you for everything even a shared plate. I had a pulled pork sandwich which was excellent and ordered sweet potato fries, but I literally counted eight small fries on my plate. Three tries with different food each time and I'm not going back. Food: Meh. I've had: mac and cheese with pulled pork and BBQ sauce (monthly special), the Thunder burger with an Impossible burger, holiday cookie plate, lobster bisque (monthly special), and the seared ahi sandwich (also a monthly special item). The mac and cheese was awful; the cheese sauce tasted processed and the color was frightening shade of yellow. I basically ate the pulled pork and avoided most the mac and cheese (the main reason I ordered it). The other monthly special items were fine but not overly impressive. The seared tuna was a good quality and the amount was generous. However, there was no hint of lobster in the bisque and it had a few very small odd hard bits I spit out. The arugula on the sandwich was so wilted I decided to remove it altogether, along with the overly thick slice of tomato. As far as the burger goes, I was pleased they offer vegan and vegetarian options but they upcharge +$4 for the Impossible burger; basically I paid $11 (the price of the Thunder burger with a meat pattie) for a bun, caramelized onions, and white truffle pub cheese and white fries. I'd have been fine with $15 for a burger if the toppings were more generous but they were rather hard to find on the bun and not overly flavorful. In general, the food was overpriced for what I got and I wasn't rushing back for any entrees. I do recommend the Christmas cookies, those were fantastic! Basically: cookies and drinks, avoid everything else. Service: The service is hit or miss. I had one really good, engaged female server back in December and the server for my first meal was nice. My server for my last meal was not very attentive (there was only one other table with people) and seemed extremely uninterested in his job; as soon as I didn't get a drink, he seemed done. Overall, service bad but could use some work since tipping is a thing. Drinks: They definitely push alcoholic here. Prices aren't bad and at $3 for iced tea (plus $.50/glass if you want it flavored), if you drink, the drink prices are good compared to the non-alcoholic options. Their drinks menu is extensive so if you like the upscale sports bar vibe, this is a good place to go. Atmosphere: I really like the decor. It's a fun place, feels country modern, and is very clean. They have a good variety of table sizes and heights. Overall Impression: Decent place to grab drinks but the food is only memorable for its blandness and the prices are high for what you get. I was very pleased to see vegetarian and vegan burger options but they price gouge for the Impossible burger. If you don't want to leave McHenry, it's a fine place to stop for a casual meal but I'd rather drive a bit and get better food elsewhere. read more

An absolute 3.5 star restaurant. Let's get started with the totchos. If we are only talking ab those, then it's gotta be a 5 star. But once the main course came in it dropped. This is an AMAZING place to grab a bite to eat! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted warmly by a member of their staff and the atmosphere is super chill and welcoming. Having a severe shellfish allergy, I really appreciate the efforts they put in to ensure that cross-contamination is avoided. I absolutely love their white chocolate pumpkin cheesecake with vanilla ice cream and their pulled pork sandwich is sooooo delicious! We went on a sunny, warm Saturday afternoon. We were seated on the patio by the channel. It was the perfect setting! We came for just a snack and a beer. The Summer Side Salad was a perfect selection. Who wants junk food type appetizers when you can have fresh Mozarella, avacado and watermelon! My husband had sliders. They were handpacked and delicious! The presentation should have been a bit better as they looked a little lonely on a bare plate. The beer was cold and there is a nice beer menu as well as beer specials at a great price! Our server, Rachel, was terrific! Been here a couple times and it's getting worse every time, went in Friday night with the fam, First off our server was awesome, but the food was nasty seemed petty with the fries, O and my drink had absolutely no alcohol, paid basically 14 dollars for a glass of pop. I tried the Saturday special of prime rib, it was really good but my favorite part was the augratin potatoes that came topped with mac n cheese AND onion straws. Hubs really enjoyed his build-your-own of chicken sandwhich. I love this place! McHenry has been desperate for such a place. It's always fun and always good! Great food, great service and great overall experience. The Friday fish fry is so good! If you don't like fish with a lot of breading, then you might not like it. The mozzarella wedges are ok, don't think I'd order them again. Their shrimp appetizer is extremely good. I believe it's the bang bang shrimp. Definitely recommend. Not only is the music so loud, you can't have a conversation, and have to practically yell at the wait staff, they have to yell back at us. The selection , is well it, uh could be a little be more laid back. Watching twerking on the big screen while noshing on a good burger, is well, less than appetizing..... Throw in some Country Music, or at least tone it down a bit. We have enjoyed the live musicians when they perform, but when the house music plays, we question ourselves why we keep coming, and will we come back? Good on our waitress today, who ran our request by management/owner? to maybe change up the music, at the least, tone it down. Sadly it was a no go.
