This is an inexpensive place. The parking lot is pretty vacant but most customers do take-out. The place is pretty clean. I ordered the Classic Cuban with sweet plantains and a drink. The sandwich had too much bread and not enough protein. I love the sauces that came with the sandwich. Plantains were good.

I've only had Cuban food a handful of times but this did not disappoint. It was our first time here and won't be our last. You can either order at the counter or a kiosk. It took us a minute to figure out what to get but eventually decided on fried yuca, lechon asado plate, vaca frita chicken plate, mango juice and passion fruit juice. The guy who was taking our order was super friendly and helpful. After paying he said our order will take about 10-15 mins and that our name will be called when it's ready. Well a short 5 mins later and our food was ready and they brought it to our table. I always have to get fried yuca and this one was yummy! I loved the garlic sauce it was served with, though I found it a bit watery. I ordered the lechon asado plate and the meat itself was tasty, but both my husband and I found both of our meats a little too dry. The sauces they had helped remedy this and added another depth of flavor though. Of course, you can never go wrong with rice, beans and plantains either. Overall, solid place for quick and cheap eats. I think our total was around $40 plus tip.

This week, our lunch spot was D'Cuban Cafe. It's a small place tucked away in Chamblee and definitely worth checking out. It's probably on the edge of being a dive, which usually means that you've found a place worth trying. I ordered a traditional Cuban Sandwich and a side of yucca fries. After lunch, I couldn't resist trying a Cuban espresso too. The sandwich was very good. Several folks at the table ordered it too and it got a thumbs up from everyone. My only complaint is that it doesn't come with a side (they are a la Carte). Next time, I want to try one of the plates... I saw one at another table that looked amazing! Inside the restaurant, there were a mixture of tables - mostly booths or 4-tops with chairs. It's not huge and did fill up. Dry fast. With a small party, it's great! Anything over 4, you're gonna need to push tables together and borrow chairs. Overall Vote: 4 stars. Would I go back? Definitely!

The husband kept talking about this place, and so we just went for an early dinner snack this past Friday. The place slowly filled up as we finished our food. So it looks like people of all ages and walks of life really seem to dig this place. The chicken empanada was good, but it wasn't anything amazing. It was super filled with shredded chicken, and it was tasty. I was expecting it be more flavorful and moist according to the general hype to be honest. The husband said this place still has the best Cuban sandwiches though after a decade later. But he also said the sauce makes all the difference. There were only x3 choices so don't get too excited. We shared the Cuban, and the sandwich was hearty and pressed with so much yumminess. There wasn't a magical ingredient that made it out of this world, but good it was. The side of plantains were really sweet and healthy as a side. The plantains were a good texture of softness but not overly dry. The flavor was simple and tasty. We were pretty content with sharing a empanada, whole sandwich and side of plantains. They also have weekly deals up to 4 PM from Monday through Friday.

This restaurant is directly across from Chamblee High School. It has free parking but there's only like 12 parking spaces. But there's other businesses with parking spaces in the same strip. This is cute little place. You have the options of ordering online, the kiosk or with the cashier. There's about 10 tables for inside dining. The bathroom is so cute and clean. The menu is clear and to the point! There's a Saturday special of 10 Empanadas for $25. Totally worth it if you need to feed several people. I ordered the beef empanadas with black beans and rice. I also ordered the guava cheese empanada and a Nutella empanada. We also got a Cuban sandwich.. it was good but I needed more meat. That guava cheese empanada is amazing!!!! I put the green Aoli sauce on my rice and beans... game changer! Now those beef empanadas have some potatoes in it! Yummmmmmmmy lol. The chicken empanadas were okay but the beef empanadas were the winner! I'm definitely going back if not for else those beef empanadas, rice and beans and the guava cheese empanada. Oh yeah forgot to mention that the Nutella and guava cheese empanada were so good and flaky!

I recently ordered takeout from at D'Cuban, and while I order from here pretty often, this was first time I picked it up vs getting delivery. Next time I MUST dine in. The vibes were perfect. The music, the art displaying Cuban artists, and the staff, it was all a great combination. We ordered 2 Cuban Sandwiches, with fries as our side. It was just *chef's kiss* GOOD. The sandwiches were a decent size, so between that and the fries I got full pretty quickly, but with that said, ya'll know I am greedy, so I also ordered a beef empanada and a flan to top off the night. I've been ordering from here for years, and they truly never miss a beat. I've had different people over my house when I've ordered, and it is always a hit. I look forward to continuing to make this my automatic go-to for Cuban.

I usually order this on Uber Eats, but one day I dropped in and grabbed a to go order. It's cozy spot, across from Chamblee High. This is the best Dominican food in Atlanta! I get the mojo chicken, with beans, yellow rice, salad, plantains and tostones. I top it with the garlic aioli and it's just delicious!

The food is always excellent and the staff is super friendly. I mostly order takeout through the app and my food is ready in about 10-15 minutes. My go to items are the lechon asado plate and a Cuban sandwich for later at night or the next day. Delicious!

I think they make the best (or one of the best) Cuban sandwiches in Atlanta. The customer service is great and the food is consistently well prepared. I almost always get the sandwich special with rice & beans. Their croquettes and maduros are delish as well. I think a lot of people get take-out but the decor and music make it a lively place to dine-in. The only minor drawback is the parking and the awkwardly shaped parking lot. But overall definitely worth a trip.

I feel like their Cuban food is the most authentic in the Atlanta area. Their black beans are perfectly seasoned and served with white rice, as you should! The sandwiches are of a nice size and cooked very well. Thumbs up!

We came back to this location since we wanted some Cuban food. I ordered the Pan con bistec with white rice and black beans. The sandwich was super delicious, the steak was cooked perfectly, the white rice was good and the black beans were delicious as well. It took over 10 mins for us to get our food though, we noticed other people who came after us who got their food first. The music playing was salsa and was not loud at all. I ordered the Ironbeer soft drink and it was good. The guy who took our order was attentive.

Inside: While the insides a little small, it's super cute, cozy, and has beautiful greenery hanging from the ceiling, giving it that tropical/garden feel. Would make for a perfect date night, but still casual enough to just stop by. They also offer patio seating out front. Service: Both times I've been, we've been seated immediately, and orders taken quickly. It wasn't very busy, since we went on a Sunday afternoon, so I'm not sure how that would compare to a Friday or Saturday night. Pricing: Four a nice meal, I think the pricing is appropriate. For entrées, you'll probably end up spending anywhere between $20-$30 per person, not including drinks. Food and drinks: The main reason that brought us back lol. I love coconut drinks and mojito's, so naturally, I tried the coconut Mojito. As mentioned, this was our second time going, and after I tried the coconut Mojito the first time, I just knew I had to come back for another round. Food wise, I got the skinny Pollo. I always appreciate a nice grilled chicken breast. It's a healthier option, but still full of flavor. Chicken was tender, and love that it's topped with grilled onions. Rice, plantains, and black beans made for delicious sides. Everything was fresh and hot. Looking forward to my next round of coconut Mojitos, and trying some of their other menu options!

We were seated immediately and ordered fairly quickly. I got the Lechon Asado, which came with rice, black beans, some plantains, a little salad. I think there's an option to get congri but you need to ask. Everything was delicious. The rice was quite flavorful and not simply plain white rice. The black beans were cooked well without being mushy but just slightly over salted for me. The pork was solid. I even tasted my friend's cubano and it was well done; a little heavier on the roast pork vs ham if you're curious about ratio. I definitely recommend giving it a try if you're in the mood for cuban food and good service. Will have to try the coffee next time.

They have quickly become my favorite place to get Mexican food. Let's get into it! Location and Parking They are located on Buford Highway in a small shopping plaza. The lot is medium sized, but they are sharing it with a few other businesses, and depending on the night it could definitely be hard to find a spot so keep that in mind. Venue and Atmosphere The venue is decently sized with both booths and regular tables. There are beautiful paintings hung all over, and the decorations that make you feel like you've stepped into a little part of Mexico. Atmosphere is super casual and comfortable. Food and drinks Now the menu here is massive. Take your time and prepare to be overwhelmed, because everything sounds amazing. Here's a breakdown of what we got each time. 1st visit - El Rey Del Taco Parrillada It's meant to be shared with two people, and comes with a pound of beef ribs, your choice of chicken or al pastor meat, six shrimp wrapped in bacon, with melted cheese and chorizo, plus tortillas and charro beans. It was just as delicious as it sounds. 2nd visit - Tacos The pastor con queso and the shrimp al pastor with cheese, onions, and al pastor sauce. You're welcome. 3rd visit - Fajitas Fajitas Texanas, with steak chicken and shrimp. There are 7 different combinations of sides that you can get. We got white rice, salad, and charro beans. This can also be shared, which my wife and I did. Speaking of the charro beans, they have the best beans I have ever had. For drinks I got the supreme regular mango margarita. My wife got strawberry. Both great. Service Food came out fast, but other than that the service was a little slow. Our waitress was nice, but it did seem that she forgot about us for a little while. The food was so good that I forgave it, plus at the end of the day I got everything I needed. Verdict If you're looking for amazing food and drinks, this is absolutely the place to get it. It just might end up being your favorite too! Until next time!

It isn't much to look at from the street, but if you are looking for an authentic Cubano or Cuban coffee, this is the right hole-in-the-wall to stop into. After craving a real Cuban sandwich for 12 straight hours, I woke up salivating for one. A friend had told me about Chiquita and I made it a part of my Sunday errands. I stepped into the store and ordered my sandwich. I was told it would be 7 minutes. I looked around and checked out the grocery items, cold case (packed with pure cane sugar sodas) and other convenience items. I could smell the mojo pork heating up and could not stand the wait. Once I had the sandwich in hand, I didn't care about how hot it was. The bread was perfectly toasted on the outside - practically crumbling away as I bit into it. Slices of ham (the ham was a bit forgettable), swiss cheese, mustard and mayo, chopped mojo roasted pork and pickles (possibly bread and butter - sweeter than expected). The entire sandwich was the perfect combination and so flavorful. Probably one of the best renditions I have had in the city - I'll hit this place up again.

It's a tiny, hole in the wall of a place - from the outside it looks like your average convenience store, but as heads towards the counter/cashier there's a small pastry selection by the check-out and also a small menu board featuring their sandwich selection (as well as a few other items, such as croquettes and tacos). The sandwiches range from $4.50-$7, depending on the type of sandwich ordered. I ordered the Cubano - the standard (Cuban bread, ham, cheese, mayo, mustard), it took about 10 minutes, give or take for the sandwiches to be reading (each order is cut into two quite sizeable halves), and it was well worth the wait. It may be the best Cuban sandwich I've ever had, and without a doubt the best Cuban bread I've had. I typically don't like the bread, because it tends to be hard, but they've got it down to a science at La Chiquita Mic! The cheese was perfectly melted, and the ham wasn't dried out or too salty. The half I saved for dinner was still pretty tasty after going into the microwave as well - a true test of deliciousness! They give you the option for dine-in/to-go but the store is quite small and there are only two small tables inside, so to-go may be the best option. I definitely will be returning to try their other sandwich options - not to mention those croquettes!
