Authentic food, friendly waiter/waitress, convenient location, and parking, overall is a nice restaurant in a friendly neighborhood. Minus one star is due to the decor, nothing wrong with it but nothing fancy, either.

Casual Asian food is on the menu with limited choices. D Cuisine has a newer location in Westmont with selections of the dim sum and other appetizers to choose from. It has pretty decent prices. A few will find it too limited. There's not a lot for vegetarians but there's a few without any meat. Best to get here at lunch and try something from the limited choices. It's when we came in. There wasn't anyone else in here and it was extremely quiet. It has a pretty small menu with a few things to choose from. More so than the original location thankfully. It's about $10 for one of the Lunch Specials. The best among the several vegetarian choices is the Vegetable Mapo Tofu. It comes with rice and either crab Rangoon or egg roll. The girl had the egg roll and thought it was okay but nothing special. For sure the best time to come is at lunch or in the afternoons. It's got a happy hour where it's 20% off. The menu has meaty options as well as tofu for vegetarians.

Yes yes yes! All things, Authentic Chinese , are here!!! Ok, so the street sign has seen better days, but that adds to the charm here. "International Plaza", Cathay Bank, Park to Shop Supermarket. You will see a Best Western sign before your turn into the parking lot, if facing north. Inviting entrance replants you back into China. If you haven't had the pleasure of going there , this is authentic . The family style , round tables . The focus of an ever turning circle and positive energy one to the next. I find it so respectful to turn the middle table instead of reaching across. Some miss the simple delicate things in life and overlook "gestures", of dining family style. I don't overlook that. I sat at a lovely table. The decor takes you straight to China. Their menus have everything listed ! Specials , lunch specials, catering , banquets, dim sum. So many options. Simple but nicely done. Their take away menus are great! We can now share with others as well. I really enjoyed the hot pot of traditional tea. Really felt like we were back in China, enjoying special moments. The dim sum was very delicious. Served in steam baskets. The portions were large. Definitely you can share the orders. The price was very reasonable! $16.39 for 2 Orders! Wow. Here, very good service as well. I want to return and try more items on the menu! I will Return & You must try it! It's not something you can locate super easily , but it's worth it! Look for the markers- North of St James Crossing. Next to Best Western. Across from 5/3 Bank.

We always come here for dim sum, but this is the first time we had dinner. The dishes were almost like Chicago Chinatown a little more expensive because you're in the suburbs in Westmont Il other than that the flavors were pretty spot on the only drawback is it gets a little loud because they have no music Other than that we would definitely come back for our Chinese Fix !

This was a good discovery! I came here on a Friday evening to give them a try. We were seated right away and were given hot tea. The server gave us paper menu and there's a pencil on each table. We marked the dishes that we wanted to try at the small box next to the picture of the dish. After giving the order menu to our server, the dishes came one after another. We tried: STEAMED PORK BBQ BUN - this is always my favorite. I loved the soft bun and the meat/sauce inside wasn't overpowering. Just the way I like it. CRABMEAT WRAPPED W/SEAWEED- this was great. I prefer dipping it in chili oil rather than the sweet & spicy sauce BBQ PORK FRIED RICE - very satisfying GREEN ONION PORK BUN - I enjoyed the bun again. I'm not a big fan of green onion. SHRIMP DUMPLING - very good BBQ DUCK SPECIAL - very tender and the sauce was delicious. Overall, this was indeed a good choice if I want dim sum. The place is clean, and parking is easy. Service is very efficient and prompt. I'll try their traditional Chinese dishes next time I visit...and other dim sum dishes for sure! 'Til next time!

With tip about $60 for two people. A very good deal for all this food!

We loved this place! We will be back. Opened for just over a year I believe, this place knocked our socks off this Saturday for Dim Sum. No reservation needed for two adults. Ordered the following that cost a bit more than $60 including a 20% tip: 1 soup dumpling 1 Baked Creamy Egg Yolk Bun 1 Portuguese style egg tart 1 Roast Pork Turnover 1 fired donut 1 Honey Sauce Short Ribs 1 Chinese broccoli w. oyster sauce The only thing I would not get again is the fired donut because I didn't see warm soy milk on the menu to dip it in; but that could have been because I was too excited for everything else. The staff were very friendly and responsive when we needed anything. Beautifully decorated space and the smell of a charcoal stove while eating was definitely a highlight. Next time we'll bring the toddlers and my parents so they can also enjoy the food and lovely space!

D Cuisine is Delicious. I'm from the northwest burbs and my choices are either Yu's Mandarin, Chef Ping, or Minghin. D Cuisine is more Cantonese style and is comparable to Minghin. Minghin's quality has slightly gone down, so D Cuisine is a nice change. The food came out rather slow, at times there would be 10-minutes of waiting in between the dishes we ordered. Maybe 10-minutes isn't a long time and I'm one of those degenerates who always wants things instaneously, but the wait was definitely noticeable. Food overall was good. They have an open-kitchen, or at least you can see in the kitchen through a big transparent glass, similar to what you see at Yu's Mandarin Schaumburg location. Service was good as well. Overall, I would go back if I'm in the area. I do like it, but from where I live, its about 45-minutes to get to, which for a self-proclaimed foodie, who will travel for food, this place isn't "Lets drive 45-minutes good". Pro-tip: D Cuisine is next door to the asian grocery store "Park To Shop", which is a great grocery store. BATHROOM REVIEW: Located past the kitchen, bathrooms are decent. Everything was in working order, and I appreciate the privacy dividers for the urinals. Sit or squat? Squat.

This place ticks off all the right boxes for what the D in D cuisine can stand for: * Delicious * Dim Sum * Duck * Dumplings * Delightful Visited on a Sunday evening without reservation for a party of 8. We were seated without any issues. We had 2 children in our group and appreciated they brought out plastic cups with a cover and a straw for them as well as disposable plate and plastic utensils. It was easy to order off the menu as we marked off the dim sum items we wanted and just told our server what we wanted for main menu items. Everything came out at a good pace. We had the half Peking duck and absolutely loved the stir fried duck... it was so tender and flavorful. We also ordered A LOT of dim sum! It was nice that none of the dishes we had were too salty...we loved the shu mai and the sesame balls! Perfectly chewy and not over fried or overly greasy. Will definitely be back her again, great place for groups!

Once I stepped through the front door, I was thrusted into an authentic asian dining experience. Delicate porcelain vases and figurines lined the arched shelves. A large bonsai tree stood in front of the kitchen window where you could witness the magic that happens preparing the food. Everything felt pristine and clean. We had a large group and were seated in the section with several large tables. Although the tables were all taken and so many people, it didn't feel loud, chaotic, or any frazzled wait staff. The waitress was pleasant and attentive. It was nice she spoke mandarin as well as our family's native tongue, Taiwanese. We ordered so much food but our favorites were the braised beef short ribs and Stir Fried E-fu noodles. The noodles seemed like they were house-made. They were fresh, had a nice chew, and quite flavorful with the Lobster! The Peapod Tips are always a favorite vegetable dish. Salted but the leaves and stems are sweet. Unlike spinach or bokchoy that can some times have a bit of bitterness to it. The Largemouth Bass was tender and tasty but took a lot of work to separate several tiny bones from the meat in your mouth. The Oysters with garlic & vermicelli were GIGANTIC. It tasted like a very garlicky ocean. It had a strong flavor and unique texture. The Ginseng Chicken Broth Soup tasted medicinal but I felt 10X healthier after drinking it. As if the Ginseng zapped all the inflammation in my body with its subtle "spicy-ginger-esque" component. Egg Tarts were light and fluffy, not super sense like what I was expecting. The pastry shell was super flaky and moist. All the sweet, salty, & savory flavors were authentic flavors commonly found in asian cuisine, moreover the chicken dish was served with the head-- beak, comb, eyes and all!

I am a lifetime lover of dim sum and am always looking for the best around. I miss the old dim sum carts that can only be found in a few select places, but have become accustomed to the ordering just what we want off of the pictorial menu. I was happy to find a new dim sum place right next to my local Asian grocery. I took my daughters today and had to write a review right away. We were all blown away by the freshness and just how well made and delicate every thing we ordered was. The shrimp and bbq pork crepes were so light and thin, but flavorful and satisfying. I also ordered the1/2 Beijing duck which is two courses, one comes with crispy duck skin served with bao and scallions, and then the meat is stir fried with vegetables such as celery and snow pea pods. The deep fried minced pork dumplings were also fresh and yummy, super fluffy since they were just made. The staff is amazing as well, friendly and quick without hovering. Everyone looks neat as a on and fit in so well in the stylish and sleek dining room. I highly recommend checking them out, I plan on going back to try more dishes on the menu. If the dim sum is like the rest of the food, it should be fabulous!

Came here on a random Saturday afternoon before 12 o'clock noon to try to avoid the crowds in the rush. To our surprise, it was not completely full. They are occupying the old triple crown restaurant space from over a decade ago. The parking lot remains the same so it's pretty big, but it is shared. The menu here is huge and vast so be prepared to read through multiple pages and sides of the pages to figure out what you wanna order. They do have a very simple dim sum one pager as well to help you order and a traditional menu with the actual foods outside of dim sum. The food definitely arrived very quickly although with no rhyme or reason or order and that's OK. The food overall is very tasty and delicious and I have to say I'm happy that it is lighter on the salty your side meaning that I didn't leave here overly thirsty, and I didn't leave here drinking gallons of water, overcome all the salt intake. Some dishes are definitely a huge hit like the fried bread dough the congee and the deep-fried stuffed seaweed wrap Other dishes were good, although not standouts like the Taro puff the yang chow fried rice, the shumai and the xiao long bao. I have definitely had better tasting versions of these at other restaurants however, there is still good. The ambience of the place obviously is very new and modern so it's really cute and nice. They even have a private party space where there was a private party happening while I was having lunch. Last but not least will say that the bathroom is definitely need a facelift to match the rest of the restaurant I would definitely come back here because I wanna try the actual entrées and food outside of dim sum .

Lunch time on a Tuesday - relatively at 1/3 or half capacity. The dim sum is higher quality than most, shrimp is plump and noodles chewy (in the best way). The congee is 11/10. The wait staff and host were polite, efficient and most importantly leave you alone and don't chat you up. All of the staff is attentive even if it's not "their table" - you can tell they put a lot of care in taking care of customers. The place is very clean and well lit. Ordered 3 dishes for 1 person. Each dish presented well and were a good size - properly filled dumplings and very good flavor

We've been here a few times for dinner. Service and food are always good. The restaurant is clean. We will try the dim sum soon. They are only one of two places in the west suburbs that serve dim sum.

Ask the Community - D Cuisine

Is dress casual? Are children welcome?

Pretty casual, and I haven't seen a lot of children. Not that they wouldn't be welcome but the menu is not very kid friendly. No kids menu, more sophisticated Asian cuisine.

    Does they serve alcohol?

Yes they do have a full bar.

Unfortunately my wife is vegetarian and the seafood roll included fish eggs, so that obviously doesn't work. I called the restaurant to ask if the order could be remade and simply packaged separately. At first I was told no, and after speaking with the manager it turned into an unnecessarily difficult conversation before they finally agreed to remake it. What was most disappointing wasn't the initial mistake -- those happen -- but the attitude and unwillingness to correct something that was such a simple fix. As someone who works in the hospitality industry, I strongly believe that taking care of your guests and making things right should always come first. Losing a loyal customer over the cost of a few sushi rolls simply doesn't make sense. Restaurants, especially those serving seafood and shellfish, should be mindful that many guests have dietary restrictions, allergies, or lifestyle choices like vegetarian or vegan diets. Unless it's clearly stated otherwise, customers should be able to expect that separate items will be packaged separately. Unfortunately this experience has made me reconsider supporting a place I've visited and recommended many times before in Downers Grove. Hoping this is something they reflect on for the future.
