His pricing was fair compared to other estimates I received, and he was accommodating when we requested adjustments after installation due to clearance concerns around the water heater. The quality of the work was appropriate for the type of project. This is a utility closet rather than a visible living space, so I wasn't looking for high-end finish carpentry. The shelving is sturdy and functional, which was the primary goal. There were a few minor points worth noting. The shelves themselves were built from plywood while the framing was pine. This wasn't a major issue, but the exposed plywood edges remain somewhat rough despite being sanded. Additionally, when modifications were needed after installation, the shelf was cut in place with a jigsaw rather than being removed and recut, which left a less polished finish but it is not visible. Regarding pricing, the original quote included a first-time customer discount and staining. After deciding not to stain the shelves, the price remained unchanged. However, given that his overall quote was still significantly lower than many others I received, I felt the pricing remained fair and reasonable. Overall, I definately would hire again for practical, functional projects where value, responsiveness, and getting the job done are more important than fine-finish craftsmanship.

Communication was excellent throughout the entire project. Joel was responsive, clear about timelines, and kept me in the loop every step of the way. His pricing was fair and straightforward, with no surprises. The quality of the work speaks for itself. Joel went above and beyond on every detail, and somehow still managed to get the job done quickly without cutting any corners. I'm extremely pleased with how everything turned out. On top of being a skilled craftsman, Joel is genuinely one of the friendliest, most pleasant contractors I've ever worked with. It's rare to find someone who delivers top-notch work and is a pleasure to have around. If you need drywall work done right, I can't recommend Joel and Guzman Drywall highly enough. I'll definitely be working with him for any future projects.

I recently hired Austin Professional Painters for a pretty large project: we had remodeled our…read morekitchen and had installed new shiplap, headboard, and chair rail throughout the main areas of our downstairs. The cabinets and walls needed a total refresh of paint, and all that new woodwork had tons of caulking/filling/sanding/priming etc to do. Then we needed new crown molding added to our half bath, and there were several sheetrock patches plus some ceiling cracks which needed good prepping and feathering in. Also, our front and back doors needed to be repainted. So - a lot of work! And I am picky about quality. I chose Austin Professional Painting because they seemed well organized, well qualified, and ready to go at a scale of enough workers that we could get back to living in the downstairs of our house in a reasonable amount of time. Their comfort with good quality paint was also a key factor in my choice. So: the guys who came out to do the work, Carlos and Ivan - plus another couple of guys on certain days, were very nice, polite, and extremely hard working. They did a very good job and I am satisfied with the work. I would hire Austin Professional Painters again (and probably will this fall when we get around to renewing the master bath), and I definitely recommend them. I'll have to update this review with photos soon, I just need to take a bunch of them.

Not only did they give us the most competitive price, John and his crew were very professional and did an awesome job. They painted the whole house including the trim and front door in about 4 days. They also used top quality paint (Sherwin Williams Emerald) so the paint should be looking good for many years. This was by far my best experience with a painting company so I highly recommend APP and will be using them for any future painting work.
