Multiple Tasting Flights ranging from $7 - $12, 3 generous pours, as of our 11/16/25 visit (no fees waived with bottle purchase). D'Ellena opened its doors about three months ago, pouring wines made of Cucamonga Valley, Santa Ynez, and Santa Barbara grapes. This used to be the location of the historic J. Filippi Winery, which was part of the local history of winemaking for many years. Currently, they are only pouring inside the tasting room, but we were told that they have plans to build a patio/deck tasting area and replant the estate vineyard. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like they're interested in planting any of the historic varietals of the area, such as Zinfandel, Alicante Bouschet, Palomino or Chenin Blanc. My wife and I arrived shortly after opening time on the second Sunday after the winery opened to the public. Devon poured for us and was just learning about their wines, but she had great attitude and friendly personality which went a long way. We also met Maria, their licensed Somm, but didn't get such a warm feeling from her. We shared the Cucamonga Valley flight ($10) and the Santa Ynez flight ($11). We started our tasting with the whites. Not particularly our style, but there was nothing wrong with them. Then, we proceeded with the Pinot Noir, and it was not good. We were sure that the bottle was corked but decided to wait until the couple standing next to us tried their Pinot Noir to get their opinion. They agreed with us, so we informed Devon, and she promptly opened a new bottle and poured again. This time the Pinot Noir tasted fine. The next glass was a dry, Old Vine Zinfandel. Again, we mentioned to Devon that it tasted "off", and she called over their Somm, Maria, who proceeded to tell us that we did not know what Cucamonga Valley Zinfandel tastes like and that there was nothing wrong with the wine. It was just their style of winemaking. We're not novice wine drinkers and Zinfandel happens to be one of our favorites, so we've had many Zins from all over, including the Cucamonga Valley. We asked if they taste each bottle before they start pouring it, which is standard practice, to which she responded "yes". Unfortunately, they didn't catch the corked Pinot Noir, and our feeling was that this bottle was not right either. My wife was quite upset that Maria pushed back so hard on this wine, and we were shocked that she wouldn't even taste it. We were just hoping that she would have tasted the same bottle and then told us that it is the way the wine is supposed to taste, then it would have been okay with us. We taste at a lot of wineries, and only on one other occasion has the staff argued with us about the taste of the wine. Not the best customer service, in my opinion. Unfortunately, with two bad wines out of six pours, I'm not sure I would return for another try, which is too bad because we really would love to support the wineries and history of the Cucamonga Valley.

Robin and I stopped in on a day we were running around town to various events. This was a nice respite. It has a nice relaxing feel and the service was friendly. There was a class going on, and I look forward to finding out more about what they offer. We each tried a tasting flight and enjoyed trying some new wines. We are looking forward to going back. I really like the feel and the plans for the future.

I don't have a clue why anyone would say anything less than stellar about this winery. The staff (Maria, Devon, and Erin) have always gone out of their way to roll out the red carpet any time I've come in, by myself or with friends and they treat their guests amazing. The vibe is super chill, great energy, the new game room is a huge addition, as well as really talented artists on Friday nights is a vibe with friends. The wine is fantastic! I personally love the Syrah and Pinot Noir. This is the most underrated winery I've been too and I've been to many. Highly recommend!

This is so fun and perfect for a gals get away. This is a gorgeous place in Ontario. It is a must visit because nobody else has decor like this. Dine in is a must $15-$25 per plate. I loved the pasta there since it is made with Stella Rosa sauce. Able to buy a bottle of wine and enjoy on the premises (there is a corkage fee). I suggest sitting outdoors with a covered patio is lovely. Gift shop looks like a museum inside. There are special items you can only buy at the location that is not sold elsewhere. Must try the Stella rosa sweet/spicy jam and pasta sauce. There is always a clearance section I like to shop at too. We left with a bunch of cute items and my favorite wine Magdalena cab. It's more of a gift shop than winery. The lady at the front was very kind and tried to sell me a wine flight. I was able to get a few samples of wine for free, though. They had new seasonal flavors of wine and a nicely decorated event space in the back with adorable Christmas decorations and a big Christmas tree! I love Christmas... Charcuterie is available in a refrigerator as well as imported cheeses, dried pastas and sauces, crackers and other delicious snacks. I appreciate this winery but I prefer the LA location with its restaurant, big events like Pilates and Prosecco!

The venue itself has a small nook area to the side so it was used as a back drop for photos and cheki (polaroid taking), a check in area to meet the idols and pick up our DIY bouquets for the event), some cushioned chairs and tables to the side, and lots of circular tables and seating inside for the group to sit down and work on our bouquets. There's random wine themed decor throughout the venue and 2 TVs where one was just the random wallpaper generated and the second one being the offkai theme image. There was chill music being played through the venue but unsure if this was through the tech of the venue or the speakers that the even organizer brought with them. When they spoke on mics, it was easy to hear them no matter where people sat. There's a restroom in the back and if your event needs food or catering or is an actual wine themed event, there's a counter in the back. It was a slightly colder day, but temperatures were controlled inside. There wasn't an option to extend the time there even though the next event wasn't until several hours (like 5 I think), so we had to move our gathering next door.

Though we wished it was more crowded and poppin we made the best of it since the wine we had was really good. I tried the rose moscato that was absolutely amazing!!! The taste was very good. For my third glass I got the sparkling moscato and that was outstanding too!! The ambiance was perfect and set up cute! I'm sure if they had a dj on the weekends it would have been great!! The server Misty was very good, amicable, and very patient with telling us the menu options. It's really not many good options but you can order food from next door restaurant Cocina Serrano. Also, they have charcuterie board if that's what you like with your wine. I would try here again to support another woman black owned establishment. Come try here and the wine you won't be disappointed. They also have beer as well. -Marshay Dede

In 2017, the Mission Inn Wine Tasting Room was added to several quaint restaurants and shops that one may indulge in at the Mission Inn and Spa. It began when owners Duane and Kelly of the Mission Inn, purchased a vineyard in Ashland, Oregon (home of the Oregon Shakespheare Festival and a small college town that boasts a fine foodie scene in the Pacific Northwest). Why buy land in Oregon and not California? Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris is why! Of course, California has it's share of Pinot's, but they have a different terrior! I personally, would choose an Oregon Pinot over a California Pinot on most days! Sorry, California, I still love you for the things you can do that Oregon cannot! When we arrived for our one-stop, play-cation, stay-cation, we were pleased the new tasting room was open! We were warmly greeted by John our psuedo sommlier for the day! We received an intimate tasting for two and shared our love of work, travel and most of all things food and wine! An $11 per person tasting of the private estate, educated staff and intimate atmosphere, it's the perfect add on to a Mission Inn and Spa trip. #MissionInnWineTastingRoom #PinotPlaycation #OregoninCalifornia
