Robin and I stopped in on a day we were running around town to various events. This was a nice respite. It has a nice relaxing feel and the service was friendly. There was a class going on, and I look forward to finding out more about what they offer. We each tried a tasting flight and enjoyed trying some new wines. We are looking forward to going back. I really like the feel and the plans for the future.

As a very longtime visitor to Joseph Filippi Winery, I was sad when it closed. Rancho Cucamonga needs to retain a winery at this location for historical and community reasons, and the new iteration of the old property has pulled it off in a big way. I'll start my review with the most important thing: the wine! Any real wine lover knew that the wine from the old winery left a lot of room for improvement, but D'Ellena is putting itself on the map by choosing their new winemaker. Ryan's wines are all amazing, while remaining affordable and varied. My favorite is the 2020 Late Harvest Zinfandel, but I had a 2021 Syrah last week that's an easy #2. Ryan makes both reds and whites, so no matter your preference, you'll find something you like. Wine flights run $10-$13 and each one includes three pours. Individual glasses can also be purchased for consumption on-site. And that's where D'Ellena has gone above and beyond to make a wine tasting visit so fun - they completely redid the interior, from floor to ceiling, with a new sound system, a flat screen on the wall that plays muted wine- and food-related content, and multiple lounge areas and couches for comfortable tasting for solo guests or groups. They even have WiFi -- the old place didn't, but now I take my tablet and get a little work done while sipping. They've modernized the entire site but left the historical bar inside, so if you've gone in the past, you'll remember the round wine bar where there's plenty of room to stand and hang out. The staff is new, with one familiar face from the prior owners. They are knowledgeable, well-trained, very quick to help, and a lot of fun. Every time I've gone, which is several times now since they reopened the first week of October, there have been engaging conversations and a level of familiarity which makes us feel welcome and appreciated. If you're looking for a fun girls' night out or date night or just a quick taste before taking wine to an event, give them a shot! They've only been open about seven weeks now, so not everyone's aware they are even open yet (hence a couple reviews mentioning it being 'empty,' which is something I've never seen, there are always people stopping in) but there are a lot of new things on the horizon. Everyone there is smiling, it's a classy place, and it's exactly what Rancho Cucamonga and the local wine scene needs. Go enjoy some fantastic wine in a fun new space, be kind to your server, and don't forget to tip! ;)

The venue itself has a small nook area to the side so it was used as a back drop for photos and cheki (polaroid taking), a check in area to meet the idols and pick up our DIY bouquets for the event), some cushioned chairs and tables to the side, and lots of circular tables and seating inside for the group to sit down and work on our bouquets. There's random wine themed decor throughout the venue and 2 TVs where one was just the random wallpaper generated and the second one being the offkai theme image. There was chill music being played through the venue but unsure if this was through the tech of the venue or the speakers that the even organizer brought with them. When they spoke on mics, it was easy to hear them no matter where people sat. There's a restroom in the back and if your event needs food or catering or is an actual wine themed event, there's a counter in the back. It was a slightly colder day, but temperatures were controlled inside. There wasn't an option to extend the time there even though the next event wasn't until several hours (like 5 I think), so we had to move our gathering next door.

Though we wished it was more crowded and poppin we made the best of it since the wine we had was really good. I tried the rose moscato that was absolutely amazing!!! The taste was very good. For my third glass I got the sparkling moscato and that was outstanding too!! The ambiance was perfect and set up cute! I'm sure if they had a dj on the weekends it would have been great!! The server Misty was very good, amicable, and very patient with telling us the menu options. It's really not many good options but you can order food from next door restaurant Cocina Serrano. Also, they have charcuterie board if that's what you like with your wine. I would try here again to support another woman black owned establishment. Come try here and the wine you won't be disappointed. They also have beer as well. -Marshay Dede

The staff was friendly, knowledgeable and passionate about their beers. Everything we tried was delicious, we knew we were going to be spending a fortune here, it was so hard hard to choose what bottles to bring home because they were all so good. We ordered all 3 beer flights from the menu, I liked the more sweeter and fruity beers and my husband liked the more balanced ones. They even have wines, the cherry wine was incredible and we brought a bottle of it home. It was totally worth the drive up here, we really enjoyed it and we will definitely be back soon.

In 2017, the Mission Inn Wine Tasting Room was added to several quaint restaurants and shops that one may indulge in at the Mission Inn and Spa. It began when owners Duane and Kelly of the Mission Inn, purchased a vineyard in Ashland, Oregon (home of the Oregon Shakespheare Festival and a small college town that boasts a fine foodie scene in the Pacific Northwest). Why buy land in Oregon and not California? Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris is why! Of course, California has it's share of Pinot's, but they have a different terrior! I personally, would choose an Oregon Pinot over a California Pinot on most days! Sorry, California, I still love you for the things you can do that Oregon cannot! When we arrived for our one-stop, play-cation, stay-cation, we were pleased the new tasting room was open! We were warmly greeted by John our psuedo sommlier for the day! We received an intimate tasting for two and shared our love of work, travel and most of all things food and wine! An $11 per person tasting of the private estate, educated staff and intimate atmosphere, it's the perfect add on to a Mission Inn and Spa trip. #MissionInnWineTastingRoom #PinotPlaycation #OregoninCalifornia
