Came here with a friend for brunch and it was mostly a disappointment. We walked in at around 1pm on a Saturday and it was completely empty, that should've been the first sign. There were a few items on the menu that they didn't have. The mimosas were kinda flat, unsure if any type of prosecco was used. The service was lackluster, even tho it was only us. I asked about the happy hour, and I was given the barcode. Upon scanning the barcode, a happy hour menu popped up for 4-7pm which was confusing. So it seems like they have two different happy hour. One from 5-7pm which includes drinks and wings. The other is from 9-11pm, which includes just drinks. I ordered the sweet chilly wings, which were good, and the wings tasted fresh; not frozen. For drink, I had the rum punch, which I also liked. They had RnB music playing, and my babes and I were looking for something more upbeat, so we decided to leave. A really top tier experience from start to finish. A friend and I went here Saturday night at 8:45. I was able to get same day reservations just 2 hours before. When we arrived, we were greeted and seated right away. It wasn't packed but there were a few other parties. The only complaint we had was that the music was a bit too loud so we were struggling to have convos and having to lean across the table. Service: nothing beats good service and we definitely got that and then some. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming and were helpful even if we weren't their assigned table. Our waitress was Akeema- she was very friendly and attentive and checked on us often without being overbearing. She gave us some good suggestions and feedback on menu items. The bartender Bella was also really sweet and we met the owner Angela who was so sweet. She came over to check on us to ensure we were having a good experience, chat with us for a bit and gave us some comp froze shots. The ambiance in here is such a vibe!! From the lighting to the decor, to the seats, to the music. I really loved the comfy velvet seats versus the hard chairs that most restaurants use. They had a live DJ that was playing some great tunes which was a mixture of everything! I couldn't stop dancing in my seat. Drinks: they have some really good cocktails and the prices are good as well. Their cocktails are average at $16 and definitely worth it. We had the "we go together" , "froze all day", "holy water", "confession time", and "my type". Some of these drinks are dangerous and definitely deserve their name lol they are the perfect balance of tasty and strong. Food: we weren't really hungry so we just decided to have some appetizers. We had the "island sampler" which comes with codfish fritters, wildfire corn, wings, and shrimp- a flavor of choice. The corn was street style and was bomb! The buffalo wings were really good too and the sweet chili shrimp. The codfish fritters weren't bad but they were just ok, I dipped them in ranch and that made them much better. I also had an order of the "settle down mussels": they have the option of curry or coconut cream sauce. I picked the coconut cream sauce and MY GOD were those mussels AMAZING!! First of being frisked to have dinner at 8pm is ridiculous, then having to wait 15-20 minutes for a service, not one came over so I have to get out of my seat to get a men. This is my second time at DGarden! The first time it was back in March for brunch for my brother's birthday. They were quite accommodating for a last-minute reservation with a big party and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! So I knew I always wanted to return. Last night was the first time I was there at the night time. My friend and I wanted something casual and the plan was to get appetizers and drinks. Coming in the decor is cute and modern. They also have a nice outdoor area which is decorated nicely! In addition to this, they have an enclosed area in their outdoor section as well. You can only smoke hookah outside. Inside wasn't packed and there was a live DJ playing. At first, the music was a bit low but then became so loud that my friend and I could barely hear each other. Tasheba was our server and she was very nice and energetic, there were some slight issues. We placed our orders, which were honey garlic wings and Mac and cheese. Our first round of drinks was DVibe and DGarden. As soon as we were finishing our order, someone from the table behind us called her and she immediately went over and didn't excuse herself. She didn't come back either. Our food came first, and we didn't have our drinks. I did notice there was only one bartender. Tasheba also brought two sides of mashed potatoes and we reminded her that we didn't order this. She proceeded to say that there weren't any sides of Mac and brought this out instead. We respectfully declined the sides, and my friend reordered her side as fries. She walked away and didn't ask me if I wanted anything. Now onto the food, the honey garlic wings were pretty good! I would give them an 8/10. The portion size was appetizer-friendly. The DVibe was good, but I tasted the port more than anything, rating wise, I would give it a 7/10. Tasheba did a check-in as well. Later on, we decided on another round of drinks. I had a We Go Together this time. This drink was stronger, however, it is a bit on the sweeter side. I would give this a 7.5/10. I also ordered mussels, and these were soooo good! They can be a main course. I would give them an 8.5/10. When we decided to leave, there was an issue with my card, and when Tasheba tried again, my card got charged for the full amount instead of half. She was apologetic and stayed to make sure things were troubleshooted. I just want to advise as well that there is an automatic 18% gratuity. Overall the total for two rounds of drinks and appetizers was about $150. It is a bit pricey to keep in mind. Overall I feel like D Garden is a great vibe if you're looking to be casual or a birthday. If there can be added staffing for the bar and floor it would help! I have been here twice for the comedy show that they have been throwing on Wednesdays. The first time I went it was pretty packed and I enjoyed myself seriously I laughed so much. Joe Show was hosting the comedy Wednesday so I knew he brings out pretty good comedians. I got to see Stanley DuBois and also Kareem Green (he is seriously hilarious in real life). Its a standard bar size that also has backyard garden that I didn't get a chance to look at. Place is pretty clean, the bathroom could use a little more TLC for such a small place. The service is OK, the have about 2 waiters cuz the 3rd waiter seemed new and was not attentive as much, we got his attention more than we needed too. 1st time we came we order the Sampler which turned to be great and slamming, them shrimps is SPICY!!!! The conch fritters was SLAMMING!!! We also ordered the Rum Punch which was really authentic and good at the same time. 2nd time we came I just ordered the codfish fritters and they were really hard. This time I also ordered a Henny Colada which was OK very under liqour this time round So the 2nd visit they decided to create 2 drink minimum which was not on the flyer, so we order the waiter tells us its 2 drink mini NO OPTIONS they will charge us for drinks even if we didn't order. I went here last night with my family. We sat at the bar for their Taco Tuesday deal. The menu detailed that Tacos were $5.00 oxtail would be $2 extra and also shrimp $2. The menu says 2 tacos comes with the order. I was surprised until my cousin received her bill first. They charged her $28.00 for two orders of oxtail tacos which is (4) in total, the woman behind the bar said yeah its actually $7.00 for each taco. I was taken back because the menu didn't detail that, it literally says the order comes with two. Then me and my cousin bf both ordered a second round of tacos which came out late because the order was never put in. When the food finally came it was half assed. I don't like how they treat their customers when it comes to misleading of menus and pricing. Please do better and stop scamming your community. read more

I ordered the smoked jerk chicken with rice and peas, along with mixed vegetables, and my boyfriend had the chicken Rasta pasta with a rum punch. The service was very slow which surprised me as the restaurant wasn't crowded at the time. My food wasn't the best, i had sweet chilli salmon but they forgot the sweet chilli. I feel like it lacked the Caribbean flavor i was expecting. The server was nice however when the bill came it was an absolute mess. We were given 3 separate bills each having gratuity on it for one table which made no sense. One bill had our prefix menu food the other two bills had drinks and random apps. This Place is weird And has false advertisement. This place was originally supposed to close at 2am yesterday which was a Saturday. We made reservations for 11:45pm and called and changed the reservation to 12am since we were running behind and they stated they give a 15 min grace period. We then asked what time there kitchen close and the staff on phone says 1:45 am, asked if they had a DJ she says yes. so great we have till 12:15 to get to our table. However when we arrived at 12:12 the doors was locked....gates pulled down....closeddddd. A gentleman then comes out to take out trash and says yes where closed guys, we waited till 12 and you guys were not here. Ridiculous when this all coulda been prevented if they didn't lie on the phone and just say.....we close at 12......we would have found another spot cuz who the hell wants to be rushed out a restaurant. I was waiting to do this review because after talking to the manager about an incident that took place he said he would call me back. It's been 2 weeks and no call back yet. Customers, please make sure when you use your card to pay that you remember to retrieve it when you get the bill to sign. I was there on April 20 for brunch. Got the bill and didnt realize when i signed the bill my card was not returned. Next day i realized it because I had a penny charged from the restaurant and then two other charges on there from somewhere else. April 20, there was the charge for my bill which is fine but the next day April 21 there is a fraudulent penny charge along with the two other fraudulent charges. Call the restaurant and explained the situation and they tried to tell me that a customer may have found my card and then used it. I said so then how does a customer have access to your register to make a penny charge. I said i have the transaction number and all the info on the receipt. I was told that they cant check the transaction until they close the register out for the night and they would investigate and call me back. Again it has been two weeks. Oh i asked about cameras and was told we have them but they dont really work. An employee in their restaurant is stealing and using other ppls cards. They do the penny charge at the register to make sure the cards works and then they go shopping not far away to make purchases. Shame on me for not making sure that i got my card back, but in no way the restaurant's employee/s should be stealing. Shame on youuuu and I hope you get what you deserve. Never again will I visit this restaurant. What a damm shame!!! read more

Seafood Pasta 7/10 Over all my energy is low on this place when I comes to food. The lack of flavor from the appetizers to the entrees made me not even want to waste my money on Dessert. It took us 40 mins to get a "rum punch" to our table and still ended up getting the wrong drink, OUCH! The bar was missing items to make some of their signature drinks and they also were missing items to order from their food menu. I didn't get a chance to try the Hookah due to the outside being packed but the scenery was beautiful, amazing for social media flicks .
