Never have I given a business so many chances and yet every time there seems to be a problem. First time I walked away soaked from a pedicure with someone splashing water all over me like I'm in a bath tub did a horrible job, second visit came out with crooked nails and was cut multiple times and she kept filing over the area she cut making it burn with intention because I told her my nails were crooked. 3rd visit called scheduled appointment told them exactly where they sat did not know his name and they scheduled me with someone else drove 30 mins and the man I was supposed to be scheduled with had someone so they told me I could reschedule and come back yeah absolutely not! If I could give 0 stars I would. For someone who has been getting my nails done for 25 years I've never seen such dis function in a salon. read more

I was so happy with how Jenny did my nails, and I hate how when I find a talented nail person, over time I feel taken advantage of and the service diminishes. Pedicures started great then turned into almost color changes with no lotion applied or massage. Pink and white fills turned aggressive with drilling on my cuticle, and the last straw was when I go to pay, I'm charged for a cut down and too long. I'm happy to pay one extra charge but how can you be charged for both with shorter length nails. When I asked why I was being charged twice she said she'll remove one charge but will refuse service to me and I can go see someone else next time. Me and my husband went in for a basic pedicure he got scratches all over his feet and I ended up with both big toes red, swollen, and sore for days after the technician aggressively dug into the sides of my nails. I didn't ask for or need an ingrown removal, but now I'm dealing with pain, scabbing, and antibiotic ointment. I won't be returning and hope the salon takes more care in the future with how far they go during basic foot care. read more

I have been to DK Nails a few times, but this by FAR was the worst experience i've ever had. I attached what I asked for, and what I got. I then paid $60 plus tip for an absolutely horrendous job. I mentioned MULTIPLE times the nails being too short, and the white tip being too long. I also flinched multiple times from the pain of his nails and the nail file. Horrible experience, but I tried to be the better person! This business does not care about the customers, only the money. You always wait 30+ minutes even if you have an appointment. During my pedicure, I was cut and bled and my nail tech never apologized or acknowledged it. They never offer any sort of compensation. I will never be back and do not recommend. read more

Had a pedicure two weeks ago. Nails were not trimmed properly, despite me asking the nail tech to trim them a little more. Tech did not even ask me if i wanted a gel pedicure. Not only did it cost me more for a sub par pedicure, my nails looked like a hot pink, rippled potato chip. My nail ended up getting snagged on my sock with in three days. I have ended up going to my usual place and have nicely trimmed and painted nails. This place is a joke and needs to close. Don't waste your money ! Would give negative stars if possible. read more

I called Tuesday afternoon for a 5pm appointment Wednesday with the nail tech I usually see when I come. I arrive at 5:10 due to traffic and the girl working the front desk says she's the nail tech I usually see is not even in the shop. She just stares at me without offering I see someone else. I ask if I can just see the next available person. My birthday is this weekend and this is the only day I had time to get my nails done. So I sit and wait to be seen. I get taken to the back and get started. The nail tech starts on my pedicure by removing the gel. She removes two nails and then pauses to say I have to stop because my client is here for her appointment....She says she's going to send someone over which took roughly 10 minutes. I will say the new nail tech that came over was very attentive and gentle. However, when it came to my manicure, I was less satisfied. The nail tech nicked my cuticle line and just painted over the bloody area. This recent visit left a very sour taste in my mouth. I watch the lady from the front desk set up a pedicure station for a woman and her daughter. The woman asks the front dress lady if they clean the bowls in between clients because she can see all the dirt left behind. The lady just stares at her not saying anything about cleaning the stations. The water is left there because the woman asked to move. BUT about 15-20 minutes another woman comes in for a pedicure and they sit her and the same dirty bowl and did not even drain the water. There was no way the water was still warm and they did not care about proper sanitation between customers. I started coming over here over a year ago because it was closer to my home and the service was consistent. After this last visit I am reluctant to come back. read more

100/100 FIVE STAR SALON EXPERIENCE!!!!! I let my friend choose the salon that we were going to meet at to get our pedicures and eyebrow wax and I am not going to lie I was a little hesitant at first with the lack of reviews for DK NAILS. However once I arrived the first impression was everything! The salon is very well decorated and welcoming when you enter. You are greeted at the front desk and there is a waiting area with massage chairs !!!! There are a lot of workers here so we did not feel rushed or cramped with the overall experience. We got the upgraded pedicures and that was an amazing experience with warm towels to top it off. Most importantly the workers do not push additional services on you and instead offer recommendations for nails and wax services. Lien did my pedicure, eyebrow wax and nails. She went above and beyond my expectations and now has a returning customer despite the drive being far from where I live. Lien was very attention to detail on my services and cleaned up my eyebrows and perfected the shape of my nails. She is so sweet and works at a decent pace so you so not feel rushed at all but are getting the services done in a timely fashion. I came in for a simple soak-off. 1) was asked multiple times if I wanted to get a new set/manicure, etc. after repeatedly saying no, just a soak off. 2) see the pictures, this man tried his hardest to soak my nails off the fastest he could and in the end was drilling my NATURAL nail bed to SHREDS. Look at how my nails look the next day. They hurt with any sort of pressure or under any running water. Ridiculous. 3) they increased the soak off price from $10 to $15 - for what? They don't even do the process the right way!!! Finding the quickest way to do a simple service so frustrating. 4) one nail tech who knew me was asking me how I was when I was at the register, and the receptionist rudely interrupted me twice to ask for my phone number while I was in the middle of speaking to the tech who literally was asking me a question to answer... what in the world. I will definitely be coming back here! Immediately as I walked in, I was greeted and offered a drink and a seat. Everyone is very friendly and the salon is very cute, plus there isn't an overwhelming chemical smell like there is at other local places. I never learned the name of the lady who did my nails but she was excellent! She was very gentle, and was very thorough while doing my nails. She did really good in a short amount of time. They also use cuticle oil and lotion afterwards and give you a mini hand massage which I feel like most places don't do anymore! They deserve the 5 stars! read more

my first visit here was fine but this visit was terrible. I made an appountment at 1:30. I had to wait 30 minutes, people came after me and were seated and tended to. I waited with my feet soaking in cold water, not offered anything to drink and not given an update on when I could expect to be seen. I decided to change the service to a plain polish change and in the middle of this another employee asked if I could move to another seat since I'm not getting a full pedicure when it's because of the long wait time and inconsiderate customer service that I changed the service. . Don't ever go here. I called in advance to see if what I wanted is something they could do. Which they said they could. I also came in 3 hours before my appointment time, showed them a picture to see if it's something that they could accomplish to my standards. They said it was something they could achieve. I came in at 5 for my appointment & I was getting my nails done. I realized first they were really thin the way she drilled them down & didn't put enough acrylic. So then she starts the design. It doesn't look right or anything like the picture!! So I kindly tell them I don't like it & would like something else. Was there for a mani/pedi and the girl I had had such an attitude. They were all speaking in their native Vietnamese language to each other and laughing so I decided to put on my Google Translate app and when I translated what they were saying, it was pretty nasty! They were all talking smack about everyone in there and it wasn't good. Terrible service at this spa! My husband was getting a pedicure today, and he has hammertoes on the big toes only! The lady that was doing his pedi was making jokes at his expense, in her native language, while every one of her peers were turning around, looking at his feet, and laughing at his feet. I'm sure they have seen a lot of very weird feet, but that does not give you the right to make your customer feel bad. It hurts him to walk sometimes because he cannot cut his toenails properly! And she made one of his toes bleed! We paid for their service, and we expect it to be done professionally! I also feel it is rude to speak another language that is not understood by all! I have been DK Nails's client for years. I always saw Kate until she moved. I asked for Jenny and made an appointment for a C pedicure AND a Greek fill in. I was in the middle of MY SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT with Jenny today. She did my Sea salt Pedicure perfectly. I enjoyed it. When done, she told me to meet her at her table #14. I got there and some other woman was sitting there. I sat down and waited. When Jenny came in the area she told me to come over. She asked this woman to move to the next seat. The woman was while holding up her finger, said that she broke her nail and needed a repair. Jenny started working on my nails and this woman continued to talk about her nail and saying "I thought I could get it fixed really quick". I was glad that Jenny continued to work on me but this woman , now on the phone, kept saying that she was there to get her "nail fixed really quick." Jenny continued with my nails all the way up until it was time for the polish. Then she got up and said "I'm going to fix her nail really quick." WHAT? She didn't asked if I minded or if it was ok. She got up and started talking about polish color with the white woman that walked in WITHOUT an appointment. She just tossed me to the side instead of telling that woman she would need to wait. I never felt so bad and disregarded as a black woman. It was totally racist and unfair. I spoke with the owner Michelle thinking that she should understand but instead she told me about their policy to repair costumers nails! I paid for my pedicure and walked out with my nails UNDONE. Will never go back! I have been happy with several salons in the area and my daughter and I decided to try DK for our annual pamper birthday celebration. We both were getting a manicure & pedicure. Since my daughter is young, asked that they don't cut her cuticles etc. I mentioned this to the three people we worked with. She asked for gel on fingers and normal polish on toes- they upcharged her for gel on toes and cut her cuticles anyway. My upgraded pedicure- did not file/shape my nails, did not clean up cuticles etc. I asked twice and he simply touched up a spot or two, did the sea salt scrub but did not focus on any areas (heels ) and then did not do the "longer" massage at all and no lotion!! My "manicure" consisted of a brief nail filing and normal polish that chipped on 7 fingers in less than 24 hours! They tried over and over to convince me to use gel, and brought others over to talk me into it. When I picked my color they said they don't have it in normal polish and I'd have to do gel- so I had to pick a new color. They seem to rush you in and out and work hard to upsell and was the most incomplete manicure & pedicure ever! read more

Mom & I have only been to this place a hand full of times but were both initially pleased. On one of my first appointments, I recall asking a nail tech to please stop talking to my nail tech, as I had driven 45 minutes for a paid service & would appreciate her attentiveness to my nails. This is not to much to ask for! My nail tech Moon left the country for a month and I only saw two other techs. The first was Kate and like Moon, was great. Upon my schedule changing, I was unfortunately put with the new girl, Caitlyn. She made a terrible first impression as the first thing she said to me after I sat down at her station was, "Your nails don't look good! "They are way to thick and not done right." "Who did that?" I responded, first of all, I don't think my nails look bad or are too thick & I love them, & want them just like this again." The owner's sister Kate did them. I asked her why she didn't go over & tell Kate herself that she didn't like her work. That ended that instantaneously. Absolutely NO class! I really should have left after that but tried to give this chic the benefit of the doubt. BIG MISTAKE! As you'll see in the pictures, she took a chunk out of my cuticle then went on to cut me two times! This was not a mistake! This resulted from her looking all around and talking instead of paying attention to her client and drill placement. The natural nail pictures show the first cut and the other two show the second & even third nick!!! After her green solution that is supposed to stop bleeding did not work, she then put super glue on all of the nicks. I told her that I didn't feel comfortable putting open wounds into the dip powder canister that everyone else would be dipping their fingers in. I suggested putting some in a separate canister for bacteria prevention & Caitlyn proceeded to say that her & the owner Michelle were good friends & she would not go for that because it would cost the salon too much money. Right after that, she said that my suggestion was really what should happen with every client but it's just too expensive. She then left me for 15 minutes & said NOTHING upon getting up. Upon her return, said she'd been in the bathroom checking her eyebrows and putting vaseline on them because she had just had micro blading done. I was floored & at this point just told her I needed someone else to take over. The salon was closing soon so all the sloppy thick dip she'd applied took a while to get off. I was appointed with Cate the next morning and she made them look beautiful! When I left, I was told that the manager was going to be calling me. I assumed this was to apologize or offer me a complementary nail service for all of the nonsense and injury that I experienced. Not only a waste of gas & time being 45 minutes away but I also had to accrue the expense of going to get an antibiotic for my finger. I received a call from the manager John who was nice & wanted to fully get my side of the story & also inform me that the Owner Wilson, was concerned about me hurting Caitlyn's feelings by insisting she stop & never again do my nails. WHAT? Let me get this straight... This chic is insulting a client, bad mouthing your sister and law, saying that your wife Michelle would not use individual dip powder canisters because that would be too expensive for the salon, and cuts me twice in 1 minute & I hurt her feelings? I'm the one who is bleeding & her feelings are hurt? OK. WOW. At the end of the conversation, we were both happy & had an understanding that I would only see Moon or Kate. Fast forward two weeks, my mom & I call to schedule and were told that we could not be scheduled. The manager clearly isn't allowed to handle tasks and what does this have to do with my mom? I was also told that I was picky and made my nail tech feel uncomfortable. Hmmm, if you call not making me bleed and paying attention to the sides of my nails when dipping them is picky, then yes I am picky. I do not nor will I ever pay for people to look all around, chit chat, & then I leave bleeding. How about do your job efficiently and everyone is happy. It's funny, my first nail tech didn't feel to uncomfortable getting her tip or when she put my home number in her cell phone, after I talked to her for 20 minutes about how she could treat her chronic mouth ulcers. Lastly, the Kiara sky # used slightly varied in color from my other appointments and that was her excuse for the sloppy appearance of my nails! I was also told that when she got up & left me for 15 minutes, it was to go wax another client. I'm not incompetent and Caitlyn herself told me she'd been in the restroom putting vaseline on her freshly done micro-blading of her own eyebrows. I mean, how would I have known that if she hadn't told me? The irony is... Caitlyn was very braggadocios about having owned her own nail salon. When I first moved here I noticed this place near my house. I went in and found a pretty good person to do my nails but I kept requesting a particular color. Every time I would ask I would be told oh next time we'll do it. After about three or four times I decided that they weren't going to do my nails in the color I wanted so I stopped going. I got my nails done here a day or two ago, and the polish is already chipping(which is shocking to me, because even with regular polish, my nails usually last several days to a week before showing signs of wear!). From the moment I walked in, I was pointed around and barely spoken to. My nail tech never said anything to me, nor did she ever actually seem interested in the manicure. Paid $60 for a pedicure. Literally massaged my legs for one minute tops. Got the more expensive one since it talked so much on the massage. Pedicure was supposed to be $50. They charged $60 and never cared to mention the add on fee. I don't mind paying top dollar for a pedicure, but at least deliver what the description states!
