I was very happy to find this place. Everyone was very nice. They took me in without an appointment and I was grateful. The prices are as high as my local place north of Seattle which I was surprised as I thought it would be less expensive here. The response was disappointing in that it was mostly mistruth to further excuse the problematic behavior rather than take any accountability. Update: This private message by the owner who only had second hand information on the situation goes to great lengths to attack and discredit customer experience versus reflecting and understanding to see where to improve. Since there was no availability that day I asked him to give me a min while I saw when I was free but he hung up on me. When I called back he gave me a lecture on how not to call and book and appointment when I didn't know when I could go and told me he had things to do and hung up again. Stopped in on V-Day, we were in SC to visit my fiancee's children... I told him let's go get pampered while they were in school. It was a pleasant experience. The wait was a bit long because we came at opening and they only had 3-4 people but the demand was pretty high on this day. I can't really say I get bad service in nail salons especially when I bust out Vietnamese, LOL. But the ladies that did our nails were super nice. I loved the color I picked. I did Gel and they lasted a long time! She even dipped one of my fingers because the nail was broken but I wanted to keep it long. My fiance said his first time and he enjoyed it. On Friday, February 24th my mom and I got our nails done as we usually do (every two or three weeks). We get the dipped nails as we have for the last 7 months. This time Tuan did my mom's nails. The next day her nails were chipped. She had to wait until Tuesday to have them redone. He redone them on Tuesday and Wednesday they were chipped again. Thursday we went back to have them redone, this time by a different person. It has been a week and a day, her nails still look good. I would suggest anyone else in the shop besides Tuan. Several people have told me this is their favorite nail salon. I finally went there today for the first time and can see why my friends have said that. It's calm and relaxing (they kindly ask patrons not to talk on their phones during their services). The spa music is soothing and the massage chairs are some of the best I've experienced. My mom and I had appointments, but went in earlier to see if they could accommodate us right when they opened. Luckily there were two open spots! My first experience here was a one star, the person who did my nails, although a very nice person, took a really long time (over an hour) and on top of that it was done really poorly. You can see that it's not clean, the shape is uneven and my nails were not painted to the edge either. My nails started to bubble and chip off within 24 hours and only got worse over time. Unfortunately, I was the last person there on Saturday night so I had to wait till they were open again on Tuesday morning. (Today) When I came back in, I had a five-star experience! The man upfront was immediately apologetic and made steps to make this right. He was not here on Saturday but he did everything he could to make sure I was comfortable with a different technician. Kammy (I don't think I'm spelling her name right) was my technician and she was absolutely amazing! She was gentle the whole time throughout the process of taking the polish off and redoing it. On top of that, she was very meticulous and making sure that my nails came out perfectly! The evidence is in the pictures! This experience and the integrity of the management blew me away. I would definitely come back from the service I had today alone! I think that my first experience hopefully was a fluke, perhaps the person was off their game or something. I've been to Lee Nails a few times, but I went last week (a week after they reopened). I appreciated the temp check and the paperwork they had. It made me feel like they were taking the necessary precautions. They all had masks, but throughout my time there multiple women (employees) were taking them off speaking to customers or wearing them incorrectly. As for the actual service, I got a gel manicure and a pedicure. Within two days the paint is chipping off around all the edges. The shape of my nails aren't consistent or even. Doesn't seem worth the price. I'd give 2.5 stars if I could. I just don't think I'd go back unless it was the only option. read more
