I went here for first time today. My sister had gone here several times but went to get our eyebrows waxed. When we got there the lady immediately walked us back she had her daughter in her hands but brought us both back to the room. She put her daughter on the floor she waxed my sister and the her husband came in with his dad on FaceTime to talk to there daughter it was then my turn and she butchered my eyes brows I now have hole in them where she didn't do them correctly and instead of her admitting to her error she tried to say that is how they are and I could color it in I have had my eyes done several times never had to ever color in my eye brows not only that I still paid for the service you would have thought she would have told me not to worry about charge since she messed them up and she didn't. Took my 6 year old daughter for her first manicure. All they did was paint her nails. No hand soak, massage, cuticles, no trimming the nails. Same for my manicure. Just painted them. We paid for the full manis. Also waited 45 minutes past our appt time. Very disappointed. And it dawned on me after this appt, that all the times I have been...hardly anyone does cuticles and if they do, there's about 10 other peoples cuticles built up on the clippers. Disgusting. I got a pedicure from this salon less than a week ago and the nail technician was too busy talking and cutting up with her friends than to properly take care of my nails. I will not be back to this salon. When I went back to the salon after I received an infection they would not take care of me or refund my money. Would definitely not recommend DK Nails!!! read more

I went to my regular nail place the day before a vacation to get a pedicure, but unfortunately they were unexpectedly closed, so I went to DK nails since I needed to get it done before I left. I was able to get right in which was a plus, but I was so disappointed with the results. The young man doing my pedicure was obviously more interested in looking at his phone and texting than in doing my nails. Even the girl doing a pedicure next to us was giving him dirty looks while he was repeatedly doing this. Everything he did was rushed. While he was clipping my toenails, he trimmed one on the side and it hurt a little and I said "ow!" He kept going, but did it again two toes later only much worse. I involuntarily jerked my foot back and said "ow!" again, and he just stopped and gave me a dirty look. He slapped some polish on (very sloppy) and finished up. From a distance, they looked ok, so I just paid and left. Unfortunately, the next day on my trip, I realized that those two toes became infected. I had to keep bandaids and ointment on my toes which ruined the polish. I definitely won't be going back! read more

i've been to this location four times now in the span of a week. once to get a full set for a formal ball, twice to get that set repaired, and the last to get them filed down because the acrylic that they formed and repaired my nails with was extremely thin and had almost no structural support. my natural nail was already thin going in, due to a past nail mishap, and both the technicians i ended up having filed my nails down almost to the skin. when i went the first (second, and third times) i had andy i believe. he was sweet but he ended up rushing and so the set was thinner than it should have been. the second time, i went because two of my nails had cracked at the base of my nail. i was under the assumption that the free repair would have removed the previous extension completely but instead he just filed it down and placed more acrylic on top. when i asked him about it, he told me that replacing the acrylic would be $15 extra and that i should just trust him. my nails broke a day later. i went back. as i was waiting for my nail to be removed for repair, he took on another customer, before hurrying me off to another tech who i did not get the name of. i decided to get a polish change at that time and it cost me almost $20 and my nails were even thinner than before. the last time i went was to get one more nail fixed and the rest of them shaved down. the lady that did them, who i did not get the name of, absolutely wreck my repaired nail. thin acrylic again, subpar polish job, and it cost me $15. now i will say that i'm not the most gentle on my nails, as i am an active student so i'm doing a lot of stuff in a day that isn't particularly good on my nails overall. i've spent upwards of $100 at this place in the span of a week. i don't know that i'll be coming back. update! I went back. scheduled an appointment with Michelle early in the morning for my senior pictures. i got dip extensions and they. look. GORGEOUS!!! they've held up very well, and have stayed looking amazing for a week now. i didn't bring in any reference pictures and just let her work her magic. very good price for the beautiful nails i got. definitely going to go be her regular! read more

This place was my go to nail salon for a couple of years but the quality of service has really gone down hill. Last couple of pedicures skiped steps & seemed rushed. Durring Christmas holidays had gel polish lift after 11 days (mine usually last for almost 3 weeks). Went back after the beginning of the year and next gel mani lifted after ONE week. When I called to ask if they would fix it I was told they only guarantee for 5 days. I called 6 days after my appointment. I have been using gel polish for years & never had it lift that quickly. I was very disgusted with services received. I requested a sea salt pedicure which lasted all of about 10 minutes where it state longer massage on the pedicure list but all she did was slap some lotion on me and that was it. She also clipped my skin to make it bleed and left polish on my skin around the toes. Spoke to the manager who came and put on another layer of lotion (still no massage) and said my pedicure was fine after cleaning the polish around the toe that was clipped which I think it was blood she was cleaning off. At this point I was really aggitated and sat down to get my nails dipped which was a very long wait and then the color dip is a different color from my toes and the color I picked out. I picked out a burnt orange but came out with red. My daughter looked at them when I got in the car and was shaking her head. It is the worst ever. Came here before and had a bad experience but thought I would let them redeem themselves but this did it for me. I will never step foot in this God awful place again. I will continue to travel to West Columbia to M&M Nails to get my services. Tried to find something closer to home but this place will never get my money again and seriously considering reporting them. JUST DISGUSTED!!!!!!!! read more

Decent place, I guess. They're fast and the prices are comparable to other nail salons. My complaint is they cut me both times I've been here. I have sensitive cuticles, which I let them know about before they begin, and yet I still leave with cuts along my nails because the technician was careless. Today, 4 cuts total. The lady had to just keep the green liquid stuff (used to stop bleeding) out on her desk because she needed it that much for me. (Her name is Jenny, btw). Probably won't be coming back. read more

I went with my two sisters and mom to celebrate my sister's engagement. Three of us got gel manicures. The next day, my mom was already peeling. Three days later, one of my sisters starting peeling. Then, 6 days after we got them done, mine starting peeling. We get our nails done regularly and we know that gel costs more and we pay for it so that it will last way longer. I thought the nails looked nice and the customer service was great, it was a clean place. I will not be going back because I like to get my money's worth when I get my nails done and this certainly did not do the trick. read more

Went to get my nails done on the 4th of July. I stopped going to DK nails awhile back because the technicians are not good at all. However, I decided to give them a second chance but to my amazement they are still as crappy as ever. I refuse to even come back. My nails look absolutely horrible and my eyebrows look terrible. I think they should close down and do some retraining. I don't understand why they don't look at their work as a form of marketing. Word of mouth can definitely kill a business and I foresee this happening to this place if they don't get it together. Makes no sense for me to pay $50 dollars for services that I do not approve of. So this place WAS my go-to salon to get my nails done until the last time I went.. so I made an appointment and showed up 10 minutes early out of Courtesy. The receptionist was like "your appointment is at THREE" with a bad attitude. So already I was annoyed and I told her I knew what time the appt was at and that I was simply early with A snarky attitude since she wanted to talk to me like that. She then picked up the phone and refused to acknowledge that I existed. I sat and waited until like 3:40 to get my nails done when I should've just left. So I sit down in the chair and I'm ready. I tell the lady it's okay it took a while, no big deal. Stuff happens. So when I picked the color from the swatch, she grabbed the number of the polish that the swatch said, which was totally the wrong color and my nail tech tried to tell me it WAS the same color, when in fact, I KNEW it wasn't because I've gotten "Princesses Rule" two times before so I know the color... well she insisted that it would change under the UV light. I knew it didn't, I get gel polish literally all the time, and this color wasn't a mood polish. I'm not dumb. Also an extra fee was tacked on for shaping my nails when that was never part of the deal. Ever. Again out of courtesy, I tipped her and I regret it because I wasn't treated how a paying customer should be treated. I work with customers at my job and I'm extremely nice to everyone. Like, extremely nice y'all. So I just don't get it. Now I have a broken nail and it's an urgent thing for me to get it fixed, however I'll be traveling a few extra miles to get my nails done. read more

I have had bad experiences before at DK Nails, so I regularly went somewhere else; However, I went today and had a great experience. Very helpful staff, Sierra is so friendly and helped me find the perfect color. I also asked for coffin shape which was done so well. I LOVE how my nails turned out! I wish the people doing my nails were a little more friendly/talkative. Tina is great, if you can request her you should. Really improved from last times I have been. read more

Went for the first time a month ago and got an amazing mani-pedi and tips on my nails. So today I went in to get a fill in for my hands... And they did a HORRIBLE JOB! I got French tips and they are uneven and the fill in was awful, the guy hacked away at my acrylic and the fill looks awful! I never got a fill in but everyone who has seen it says that's not how they look. The lady that redid my middle finger when I went back said it looks fine... Had to lower them from 5 stars to 4 because of my bad experience yesterday. This is normally my "go to" place but yesterday was awful. I kept saying I wanted my mails done and they kept trying to take me back to the foot-baths. Then I told the guy who was about to do my nails that I wanted gel polish on my real nails. Three times he asked me if I was sure I didn't want the gel nails. Just do what I said I wanted! Then he whips out the clippers and cut my nails (which I had spent 2 weeks growing out) all the way down to the skin. I now have child sized nails that look ridiculous and had to pay $40 for them. This is my first awful experience so I will return but I'm never letting him touch my nails again. If a customer says what they want LISTEN TO THEM!!! read more

Went on a Monday morning when it wasn't busy. Wilson did a fantastic job on my nails. They were the perfect length & shape. He put a super glossy finish on my nails, which never faded or became dull. I've visited several times in the past both on my own and with my 2 young daughters and we've always had great experiences. Today however was bad enough I'm not sure we will return. Somehow I managed to get Michelle in the past. Today I went to get a pedicure with my 7 and 10 year old to celebrate my 10 year old's recent birthday. The guy doing my pedicure filed straight through the bed of my nail and it started bleeding. There was zero acknowledgement of the fact that he'd just painfully injured me. Then, the girl who was doing my 10 year old's pedi and mani got really huffy when my daughter accidentally nicked a nail. I realize that's a pain for them, but she was excessively ugly about it and it made my daughter feel awful. Her eyes got red and tears welled up. It turned a post-birthday treat into something upsetting for her and it was so unnecessary. She was trying to be as still and cooperative as she could. It's not like she was being careless. It was a simple accident. It just stunk to have what's a fairly expensive treat when you're doing all 3 of us into a real downer. My 10 year who has LOVED this salon said she doesn't want to go back because they're mad at her and she feels bad. That really hurts my heart. read more

Went here to get my nails done for engagement photos and was very upset with the quality of work. The gel had TONS of bubbles in it and my nails were not even at all. The tech didn't bother to properly clean around my nail and cuticle and didn't even file. There were globs of gel dried under the nail that she didn't file off and every single one of my finger tips was stinging so bad from the glue. The skin right under my nails was peeling off like I had sunburn. I had to go home and soak my fingers in cold water. They told me to come back for a fix, but it should have been done right the first time and after having chemical burn on m fingers, I wasn't interested in having work done on me again. $40 +10 tip and I god a HORRIBLE nail job and chemicals burns. I went to Posh in redbank for a fix before my wedding and was absolutely amazing at the quality of work and service! I won't be back here! read more

Went for a mani/pedi with my sister who was visiting from NY. We arrived and were brought right back to the pedi chairs, sat and our feet place in hot water to soak. A tech came and started my sisters pedi, she finished polishing my sisters toes and I Was still "soaking". Finally she did my pedi, once complete My flip flops were put on and I was brought to the nail station "not with my toe nails separated with a separator "as my sister had" but me having to ask her to put something between my big toe and the one next to as they were touching, I got a cotton ball & dirty look. Way too busy to do a professional job! My acrylic nails crumbled on day 2, went in to get fixed and the owner sat there and complained to me that it was my fault so he soaked them off and told me to go somewhere else! Instead of fixing them , again he was way too busy! Also had a pedicure there on the day I had the acrylic fail and spent 35 on a deluxe pedicure with Moon and again way too busy to do a excellent job and no foot and leg massage and she skipped several things listed on their menu , wouldn't you rather have loyal clients that get great service than ones who will never return, the owner needs to think about that! I went in to get a regular manicure. The person doing my nails attempted to cut my cuticles, but instead made my finger begin to bleed as it was cut improperly. There was no apology either. The painting of nails was uneven , and my nails were not even filed into a proper shape. My nails were not even painted from the beginning of the nail, leaving parts of my nails unpolished. My nails looked like a group of elementary school girls did them. When there was a mess up with the polish, there was no attempt at fixing it. The manicurist complained that I keep my fingers wide spread. Let alone my bloody finger was placed in a dirty bowl of water with my cut off cuticles. The manicurist also was talking on the phone on speaker while doing my nails. When I attempted to pay, I stood at the register for several minutes before someone came. The lady bluntly said it's 20 dollars and proceeds to go on her phone. There was no thank you or apology for the messed up nails and bleeding finger. They both always make sure to personally greet each customer and get to know each customer as well. They offer the best gel polish selection I have seen and pricing isn't outrageous like you find over in the Harbison area. My daughter just got back from receiving a mani/pedi and brow wax from Trish at DK Nails. While there Trish made repeated derogatory comments about the shape of my daughter's eye brows until she was so self conscious about them she finally allowed Trish to wax her brows. Apparently Trish had no idea what she was doing because she burned her eye lids, took way too much brow off, and what brow she has left has no shape (think two straight lines). To top it off after the owner said there would be no charge for the horrible brow wax Trish's mom secretly followed my daughter around Walmart (next door) until she exited the store, then Trish proceeded to chase my daughter down in the parking lot and accuse her of not paying for the mani/pedi. When my daughter produced a receipt Trish responded, "oh, my bad" and walked away. We will never use DK Nails again! read more
