On Tuesday, I tossed the idea out of my colleague and intern to order lunch in. It got them motivated and pretty excited. I can't lie. I like ordering in and not thinking about what to pack for lunch! My intern and I have Uber Eats accounts. We decided that I should order and they could pay me cash. Naturally, I rarely have cash on me. Well, I do now after they paid me! We liked what Sushi House had to offer. I went first and selected bento box B on the menu. It consists of sashimi, cucumber and salmon sushi, teriyaki chicken, and shrimp and veggie tempura. I got pickled ginger to give to my colleague. The other two followed suit and ordered the same thing. My intern gave our colleague his pickled ginger, too. Each box comes with miso soup, rice for the chicken teriyaki, and salad. My intern ordered a strawberry carbonated drink that was imported from Japan. I went with a can of Diet Coke. I like ordering from Uber Eats. It's a treat for me to see when the driver has picked up the order and is driving over to deliver yummy food. It's fun and exciting for someone like me who is used to either picking up food or dining out. Small things make me happy. Our Uber Eats driver called me and said that she was coming up to our floor. My intern and I went out to meet her. She was so nice and friendly. We took our food, thanked her, and went into our meeting room to eat. Box B is huge. The sashimi and sushi rolls were fresh and delicious. The shrimp and veggie tempura were crispy and delicious. They could be less oily, but they weren't horrible at all. I liked how fresh the salad was. The chicken teriyaki was tender and yummy. The miso soup wasn't overly salty. It was perfect for me. We all tried helping my intern crack open his strawberry drink. We actually did a search online to find instructions. It is that non-intuitive. Basically, you take the nozzle and you need some sort of flat object to push it down into the top of the bottle. Then, some round ball falls into the drink, but it doesn't drop all the way down the bottle. Once you have those steps down, you can drink from it. He said that the drink was okay. With the effort that he put into setting his drink up to consume, it wasn't worth $3. The drink was also 200 mL in size, which is rather small. This eatery is located in Woodbine Centre Shopping Centre. Who knew? I drive by this mall all the time, but don't go in. I now have a reason to. This eatery makes decent sushi at affordable prices. My boyfriend ordered some noodle dish that was alright but nothing with a wow factor. I put ice in it from my Diet Coke towards the end of my meal. My Diet Coke was excellent. It was fizzy, cold, and refreshing. My pork gyoza took no time to arrive. I loved the flavourful filling. It's deep-fried. Yummy! The disappointment was getting my bowl of ramen. I asked that the bamboo shoots be omitted. My server repeated my order and had mentioned that they would be left out. Were they? Nope. Sad. I flagged him about the bamboo shoots. What was even more annoying and upsetting was getting the same bowl back with all but one bamboo shoot removed. If I had an allergy to bamboo shoots, this move having them in my ramen and then fishing them out would still be deadly. I frankly could have fished them out myself. This place does not give you a new bowl of ramen, so be aware if they mess up your order and you have a food allergy. I didn't enjoy my ramen. I had a rough day. Getting my order wrong didn't help. I visited the counter. My bill looked normal. I decided to let her know that my order was wrong and bamboo shoots were fished out. It was such a lazy approach. I got $3 knocked off my order. I was not impressed. My not tipping said it all, as not tipping for a dine-in experience is rare. I tapped my credit card and was done. I visited one of the single washroom stalls. I loved the pretty sink. The stall was clean. I won't be back. Customer service needs to be better. The male server seemed like he didn't want to be there. Fishing out an item in my ramen that I didn't want wasn't the best move. If I had an allergy reaction to this item and you simply fished it out without letting me know, I'd probably be dead and you wouldn't be reading this review. (60)

Service is quick with no frills, just your standard water - order - serve - water refill. They have a lot of pho offerings, granted it's just different mixes of the ingredients/toppings. I got the rice noodle soup with raw beef and tendon. The broth has that nice sweetness to it and the noodles aren't mushy. The beef is also nice and tender--no complaints about this pho.

I had to add twice the normal amount of Hoisin and Sriracha sauces, and I actually added the chilly mixture too. The large serving was a decent size and a medium would be my recommendation. The restaurant itself is nice. It's larger than you think with nice lights and good seating throughout. Parking up front and in the back of the building. Decent restaurants in this area are slim pickings. I would give this place another try, but I'm not rushing to it anytime soon.
