He'd never stayed at a fully indoor kennel facility and struggled at first with going potty indoors, however everyone there was wonderful about keeping an eye on him to ensure he was doing ok with this. Omg how I love this place. We have been taking our puppy there since her vaccines kicked in, and she LOVES it. She literally runs once she sees the door, and pulls the leash so hard because she's so excited to go there. They clearly love her and love all their dogs. They know all their names and speak of them all with affection. It's heartwarming to see, like a family. The owner is the nicest person, and always so responsive and helpful. I recently boarded my dog, Roscoe, at D Pet Hotel, and I couldn't be happier with the experience! Roscoe is dog-reactive, needs to be separated from other dogs, isn't fully potty trained, and is leash reactive--yet the staff handled him with such care and professionalism. They kept him happy, sent daily photo updates, and maintained excellent communication throughout his stay. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, making the check-in and check-out process smooth. The facility was clean, well-maintained, and very accommodating. I wanted to update my review today, December 29, 2024. I have now been bringing Prince my dog for many years and just last week dropped off my daughter's beautiful adopted kitty Hiccup. I cannot say enough amazing stuff about the D pet hotel and the Extraordinary owner Josh & Staff! At pick up, Our beloved kiddos were clean, healthy & happy. Even though it was the holidays and a very busy time, they managed to send pictures every day to my daughter of her kitty because it was her first time away from home. If they ever notice any issue, they call, text, email. They take it upon themselves to do something about it. Last summer we were in Portugal & they dropped everything to take Prince to my vet in SM to follow up on a pre-DPet treatment issue. They had a hunch about something and they were right and they did all of that for me without asking for a penny- I love this place. Your dogs and/or cats are safe & happy here. Now, for my review from three years ago, no thing has changed only better...you can read on. I have been bringing my dog Prince here for years. Everything about this place is wonderful. The staff, the ownership & facility. I usually board my dog at DPet when I go away because I know he'll be able to play with other dogs his size all day long and be cared for and then be put into his own room with his comfortable little bed. They keep everything in order so everyone gets their own food, their own toys. They text or email pictures to let you know how your pet is doing and who is made friends with. They really do go above and beyond. Are usually have him groomed on the last day there and I think it's reasonably priced and professionally done. One time I boarded my dog and the staff noticed that he wasn't his usual self. They were so on top of it ..... emailing me three times a day Even suggesting I cut my trip short. I started day care and the odd overnight with D Pet Hotels 3 months ago. The staff are incredibly professional, efficient, kind and patient. The facility is clean , bright, updated and even has a large Hepa air cleaner to keep the air fresh. I was with WAG hotels for 3 years but after I started to get a uncomfortable feeling around their polish and professionalism, not to mention their painfully slow dog pickup I decided to make the switch to D-Hotel. D Pet Hotels Hollywood has been the trusted caregivers for my pets since 2010 and they have NEVER let me down. I find/have found their customer service and communication to be efficient, friendly, and accommodating; in person, the staff are always friendly and loving to my pets. As for my pets themselves? My boys know the neighborhood so their tails start wagging and excited whining/panting/yipping/happydance starts up in my car when we're two blocks away. The only reason I didn't give this place 1 star is because of the man who works here, Kenny, who got tight with my dog, Ralph, to make sure he was as comfortable as he could be. He tends to be a bit nervous/scared with new people and dogs but is NEVER aggressive. I thought this was a great place to bring my dog for boarding, but upon bringing him home, we noticed he was limping. We laid him down, moved his leg around, and found that his leg itself wasn't hurting. I realized we had scheduled a nail clipping while he was there so I immediately checked the limping paw to see if they had cut it just a bit too short. Not only did they cut it too short, but I was furious to find some fairly deep scratches on his paw, causing him to limp. When I get the name and number of whoever did this...? We'd searched high and low for a groomer that was comfortable hand stripping our Norwich Terrier. It's a time consuming process, and can be difficult on the dog if not done right. But it's necessary for protecting their rough outer coat and it's recommended by... people who know more about terriers than I do. So we were delighted to find D, who advertise hand stripping and charge a small fortune for it. Fair enough, as it requires a ton of skill. Which D Pet Hotels just doesn't have. I don't know who groomed our dog, but this person isn't a trained hand stripped. Nor, it appears, have they ever seen a Norwich Terrier. I almost want to cry -- her beautiful coat is gone and her face looks nothing like herself. Or any terrier, really. If doing a generous post mortem, I'd guess that groomer just didn't know this breed so defaulted to a chihuahua cut. Or something like that. Honestly, doesn't really matter WHY my dog got the worst grooming ever. She just did. Hand stripping is hard and time consuming and I understand ALL of that. I'm certain that's why so many groomers don't do it. Fair enough. But if you don't have the skill or time, you really need to cop to that. Advertising and charging for the service, then doing it just terribly, is unacceptable. I'm heartbroken for my little dog, who just doesn't look like herself. And I'm angry at D Pet Hotel, who advertise a service they're just can't perform capably. read more

We swear by this place and trust them wholeheartedly with our pups. Our dogs are older and when we started fostering them, we were still learning their social behaviors and were nervous about putting them in a daycare. We came in for a behavioral test prior to leaving them there, and we were shocked at how well they did!! The staff is incredible - quick to respond to emails, very friendly to allll dogs, and goes above and beyond to make sure your pup is comfortable. The moment you come in the staff is very friendly and welcoming , that's very important as I want my dog to feel comfortable and be taken care of. They have different options and prices of what suite you would like to choose. I choose the private suite for my dog . It was very spacious and comfortable it even had an actual bed :). They gave me a tour of the place the staff member was very informative and patient with all the questions I had. I came back the next day to pick up my dog and Kenny gave me an update of my dogs stayed. My dog look very happy. I recommend this place the staff is amazing. I can't say enough about the D Pet Hotel Group - we take our dogs to both the Encino and Hollywood locations and love them all. Josh and his teams genuinely care about the well being of our dogs. The employees are in the pens with them, have helped them learn to navigate socialization (we have puppies that need to learn how to play nice!), ensure that they are always safe and having fun. We have a senior dog that sometimes needs to take breaks from the other dogs and the handlers are all very in tune with when that needs to happen. Whether its boarding or just day care the team is aware of our dogs specific needs and they provide daily updates with cute photos, stories about new "friends" etc. They go above and beyond. The space is always very clean and all of my dogs always pull us to the door when its time for them to go play! They all love going to the D Hotel which is all we need to know. read more
