Our dog Prince the best dog ever (in the middle) with his buddies from the D pet Hotel
    Karen G.

I wanted to update my review today, December 29, 2024. I have now been bringing Prince my dog for many years and just last week dropped off my daughter's beautiful adopted kitty Hiccup. I cannot say enough amazing stuff about the D pet hotel and the Extraordinary owner Josh & Staff! At pick up, Our beloved kiddos were clean, healthy & happy. Even though it was the holidays and a very busy time, they managed to send pictures every day to my daughter of her kitty because it was her first time away from home. If they ever notice any issue, they call, text, email. They take it upon themselves to do something about it. Last summer we were in Portugal & they dropped everything to take Prince to my vet in SM to follow up on a pre-DPet treatment issue. They had a hunch about something and they were right and they did all of that for me without asking for a penny- I love this place. Your dogs and/or cats are safe & happy here. Now, for my review from three years ago, no thing has changed only better...you can read on. I have been bringing my dog Prince here for years. Everything about this place is wonderful. The staff, the ownership & facility. I usually board my dog at DPet when I go away because I know he'll be able to play with other dogs his size all day long and be cared for and then be put into his own room with his comfortable little bed. They keep everything in order so everyone gets their own food, their own toys. They text or email pictures to let you know how your pet is doing and who is made friends with. They really do go above and beyond. Are usually have him groomed on the last day there and I think it's reasonably priced and professionally done. One time I boarded my dog and the staff noticed that he wasn't his usual self. They were so on top of it ..... emailing me three times a day Even suggesting I cut my trip short. When I brought him to the vet, he said I was very lucky the staff was so attentive & looking out for him! They are always there when you email or call. I trust my dog with the D Pet Hotel Positive

I absolutely love D Pet Hotels Hollywood! Every member of their team is incredibly kind and caring, and I never worry about my dog when I drop him off (whether it's for a few hours or an overnight+ stay). Super easy facility, and I always know he's in the best hands. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Just want to say how great Amber, Iris, Natalie and the entire staff here. Our little boy 10 month old Jack loves to play date and board over night they treat him so well and this keeps him happy and we are so grateful keep up the great work guys! Vince + Toby

The absolute best place. I've been using D Pets for 8 years now and they are the only ones I trust with boarding my 2 babies. My pitbull always comes home exhausted and cuddly, which is how you know he had a blast, and my older frenchie loves his stays too. I also LOVE the photo/text updates.

My neighbor recommended D Pets Hotel and I am so grateful she did! Our first 2 visits were FREE, and their daily rates are super affordable. I received pictures of all the visits, which made me feel more at ease as I wasn't sure if he would be overwhelmed but he looked so happy playing with all his new friends! He has so much puppy energy and D Pets it's the perfect place to get some extra play time on the days I am overwhelmed with work or just have extra errands to run. I highly recommend checking them out! They're amazing!

The first couple times we used Sitter4Paws we had a really great experience with the sitters that were assigned to our senior, diabetic cat. Last year, my mother unexpectedly passed away, and our regular cat sitter was unavailable for half of the trip home. We booked Sitter4Paws the second half of the trip, and let them know about the circumstances and requested sitters that had seen Jodie before so that we could rest easy during a very difficult time. Of course we know that can't always be accommodated due to scheduling, so for the first visit a new sitter came to see Jodie. On the evening of my mother's passing, we got a text from Sitter4Paws that the sitter felt he may have made a mistake with our cat's insulin dosage. It was revealed to us that instead of giving her her normal 2.25 unit dose, he gave her 22.5 units - ignoring the taped off/labeled syringes, our explicit written instructions in the app, and additional photos/diagrams of what a full syringe should look like. Thank god he realized his mistake, otherwise our cat would have slowly died alone in our apartment - and this would have happened immediately after losing my mom. I understand mistakes can happen, but the fact that a sitter was uncertain with potentially life-threatening medication if administered improperly and didn't even think to reach out to us first was quite shocking. Sitter4Paws took full responsibility, admitted their mistake, said they would take steps to make sure something like this would never happen again, and covered her 4 day ER stay, but it never should have gotten to that point. Again - we did have great sitters who took care of our cat wonderfully - but the uncertainty of who you can get especially with medication involved means that we can no longer recommend this service with confidence.

Unfortunately, this place was a HUGE disappointment and had a huge negative impact on our pup. Long story short -- Everything here is a sales grab. The few girls care for the animals but the "managers" and men there are just there for the commission of your packages. I had a whole conversation about their unethical sales pitching with the employee while picking up my dog lol. It's "how they keep the place open" - the employee's words, not mine. Astounding. Said employee also asked what I did for a living because I questioned their sales pitch tactics -- I'm in sales. Also, If you need their VIP services for your unspayed or neutered pup, please spend your money elsewhere!! Before committing to a membership, we did a trial day and spent hundreds on drop in days, grooming, and overnight boarding to see if it was a good fit for our high energy pup. Our dog is not neutered and we don't plan on getting him neutered so we chose their VIP rooms. His breed is also extremely high energy and they promised they could accommodate. I also inquired about training multiple times and they kept saying the trainer would contact me. Everything went great after those few visits, they seemed caring and said he was a great fit for a membership so we end up signing up. Then everything went downhill. Upon the first day of the membership, our dog all of a sudden had behavior issues and needed to be picked up. In the middle of my work day I call the shift manager, and he states that if we want our dog to stay, he needs training ... (from their same trainer that I've inquired 3x about before committing to a membership, still haven't heard back). I asked why this wasn't communicated ever before committing to a membership and they didn't have an answer. I informed them that I would've paid for training before committing to a membership if they would've let me know that there were any issues. Our dog went a couple of more times until they could finally get me in touch with the trainer, 6 visits later. Actually I had lost complete trust at this facility. To add insult to injury, I was able to speak to one of their actual workers that is with the dogs and she let me know that our dog is only let out for about 10 minutes at a time, maybe 3 to 4 times a day during a 12 hour stay. This is their VIP option. So not only is he left in a room for about 12 hours a day, with dogs barking all around him, he's not being stimulated nor played with just being let out to go to the bathroom. Contradicting everything they say that they offer. Their "trainer" is also a joke. He is supposed to be from the Marines and well-versed in the breed of dog that we have. Upon washing him for 5 minutes, as I was told, he said that our dog needed to be neutered before he could be trained because of his energy. Our dog is a Malinois and is not supposed to be neutered before 2 years of age. We've since went elsewhere to get our dog trained from someone who is actually educated on his breed and he's worked on all of his anxiety and reactivity issues that our pup got because of this place.

I brought my dog Fred here for years. He loved it. We started off doing day care 8/9 years ago or so and it led to me dropping him off for up to 2 weeks at a time when I traveled. I never ever worried. The second we would pull in, he'd go crazy from excitement. If I didn't love this place, I would not have continued to come back as many times as we did or refer this place. 2 times out of the last 3 times that Fred ever came here was devastating that I knew of. I have OCD and I am a crazy dog mom and always label/explain everything. The first bad experience was them not feeding him one of the days. When I picked him up and we came home, I unpacked his bag and notice once completely full days worth of his food. I was so sad and upset. I felt horrible. I called and talked to Midhi the manager and he apologized, credited me back for the visit and also said the had a staff meeting and the girl who forgot to feel him felt horrible was crying. He said the would fully look into this and find out exactly what happened. He did indeed do that and gave me great customer service as they figured out what happened to Fred not getting fed one full day. I trusted that this would not happen again. As horrible as that felt, I had been coming here for years and NEVER had an issue. I didn't care about the $, I cared about my soul dog being taken care of and fed. He apologized many times and put a credit on my account and promised me that this will never happen again. The next time I dropped him off for boarding I was nervous. So I called to make sure he was fed. I did check ups and it made me feel better. Then something terrible happened the very next time. They forgot this time to give him his carprofen pain meds and all his supplements. He was a senior by this time and once again, I got home, unpacked his bag and saw one days worth was still in the ziplock back. How could this happen again? I was devastated. I called and also text the manager since I had his phone number from the other time. They didn't really respond to me at all this next time. Poor Fred came here because it was fun and safe and now he didn't get his meds? I trusted this place for YEARS and brought my dog here. I never ever brought him back here. How can something like being fed or giving a dog his meds be overlooked? This is a place you bring your beloved pet to be taken care of. What is wrong with the staff? What happened here? Why did they do this to him? God bless Fred as he in now in heaven and I have moved out of the area. I have replayed these moments in my head many times in the last couple years and finally decided to come forward with my truth of them being negligent here. I would recommend calling everyday at feeding time to make sure they fed your dog and also making sure your dogs meds were given. It's really unfortunate I had to write this review after so long but it's the right thing to do.

I adopted Moxie at about 6 months old after she was found wandering the streets, and she came to me with a lot of anxiety, reactivity, and gaps in early socialization. We needed real support, structure, and patience. On top of that, I work 12-hour hospital shifts, so finding a place I could trust--somewhere that would care for her with the level of love, safety, and consistency I wanted--felt impossible. Then we found Anna. Anna is extraordinarily knowledgeable about dogs with trauma histories, reactivity, and anxiety. She balances structure and boundaries with genuine warmth so Moxie feels safe and gets to live her best dog life. She helped me understand my own dog better, taught Moxie how to regulate and interact in healthier ways, and created a routine that transformed our day-to-day. Matt is equally wonderful--gentle, attentive, and always in tune with what each dog needs. She is also incredibly flexible with drop-offs and pick-ups, which is absolutely essential when you live and work in Los Angeles. Her reliability and understanding have made it possible for me to manage long hospital shifts without worrying for even a second. Moxie has a forever Auntie in Anna Marie, and Anna will always have my deepest gratitude and love. Wolly is a 12 lb, 10 year old Maltipoo who is very social but definitely set in his ways, so we do not say this lightly: we truly cannot say enough good things about the care he received here. From a logistics standpoint, the entire experience was incredibly easy. The flexibility of drop off before noon without needing daily sign ups was a huge win for us while traveling and juggling plans. Pick up as late as 7 PM was equally helpful, and the pricing felt very reasonable for the level of service. What really stood out was the thoughtfulness around safety and care. The facility is secure and gated at drop off, and we watched staff carefully manage dog flow right at the entrance. At one point, a team member even positioned themselves between our children and a larger dog out of an abundance of caution. That level of awareness told us everything we needed to know. We also appreciated the small but meaningful details. There is a live camera so we could check in whenever we missed him. They feed dogs separately and sanitize the area afterward, which gave us real peace of mind. But the true highlight was the caregivers. The way they greeted Wolly each day, how gently they handled him, and how clearly they knew the dogs in their care made this place special. Every afternoon we received the most adorable photo of him, and by midweek he was literally running inside, tail wagging, completely comfortable and happy. As dog parents, there is no better feeling than knowing your pup loves where he is and is being looked after by professionals who genuinely care. Wag Hotels Hollywood made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Wolly. We will absolutely be back the next time we are in LA.
