    Just chillin'

This review is a little overdue. I've had my dog now for about 7 months. I worried about leaving him alone when I was at work. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to stay home very long when I got him so this was a big worry. One of my colleagues mentioned she takes her pup Sgt.Pepper_the Shorkie to this spot. After getting all his vaccines and neutering in order he was all set. My 17 lbs mixed cutie Cha.cha.Charlie.fox_ goes to daycare 2x/week to break up his week - Keep him entertained, exercised, and socialized. He has a blast everytime, and ends up wiped out when I pick him up. It's also nice to be able to see how much fun they are having following the Barquis Instagram stories.

100% My friend referred me to the Sunset Barquis. My dog had a blast. Made a bunch of friends and the staff were awesome. A+ His bath was great and he was separated from his buddies so he'd be good for pickup. Also super flexible with next day drop offs. Would recommend!

    Easter photo shoot!

Love the Sunset Barquis and so does my corgi son, Mark! He visits several times per week and they always take such good care of him. They're great with sending updates and photos/videos and they even coordinate fun photo shoots for holidays and birthdays! He also frequently spends the night. Would rate more stars if I could.

I have a beagle mix who weighs in at about 30 pounds. She's only 1.5 years old so she still has a ton of puppy energy. She did 2 days of doggie daycare here but it didn't work out long term because she's a little too big and has too much energy for the rest of the smaller doggos. Even though my dog didn't fit the bill, I still feel that I should still write them a stellar review for the following reasons: 1. Honest and genuinely caring owner. Great guy who spends all day long engaging with the dogs and taking adorable pictures of them all throughout the day 2. Fair prices, the best I've found in the area 3. Open playroom where they're always together and never alone. My dog hates being alone. Some places will throw your dog in a room by themselves all day and call that "doggie daycare". This place believes in the pack mentality where they do everything together Anyway, would highly recommend this place to anyone with a smaller, more chill dog.

My Golden Retriever puppy lovessss this amazing daycare! She literally cries if I'm running late to drop her off in the morning! They are very professional & caring! & the space is so clean and big for the pups to play!!!

Kevin exhausted after a full day of playtime!

Ollie is a younger pup with lots of energy and no matter how many walks and playtime he gets with us, he's never as tired as he is when he is after he comes home from daycare at Poshpetcare! We know he enjoys it since he is sooo excited when we pull up, he knows exactly where he is going and is still just as happy when we pick him up. Everyone that works there is super nice and you can tell genuinely loves dogs. We met the owner and he was friendly and caring and really put us at ease knowing our pup is always in good hands when he's there. Ollie had his first overnight stay there recently and it seemed to go great! We have been looking for a long time for a good place that cares about our pup and we feel comfortable with and we have finally found the place! Also, LOVE that they stay open until 11PM. We've never had him stay that late but most daycare closes a lot earlier so it's nice to have the flexibility! Thank you to everyone at Poshpetcare for loving our pup as much as we do!

I'm extremely disappointed and disturbed by how I was treated by this business, particularly by the…read moreowner, Brian. My brother's dog is 15 years old and has been going to this groomer for over a decade. I have been responsible for caring for him, including scheduling, paying for, and consistently tipping for his grooming services. After so many years of our family patronizing this business--and my own experience as a paying and tipping customer--I never expected to be treated this way. I scheduled a grooming appointment on Wednesday evening at approximately 6:30 p.m. for 12:30 p.m. the following day. When I woke up Thursday morning, he was limping. Given that he is a 15-year-old senior dog, I took that seriously. I did what I believe any responsible caregiver would do: I called the groomer and rescheduled his appointment so that he could be seen by his veterinarian and receive his scheduled Adequan treatment before being groomed. I did not simply cancel or fail to show up. I moved the appointment from Thursday to Saturday because he was limping and I was concerned about his well-being. I was then told that I needed to provide a doctor's note proving that he was actually going to the veterinarian or I would be charged a no-show/cancellation fee. Although I found this request excessive, I obtained the documentation and brought it with me to the rescheduled appointment. When I arrived on Saturday, the gentleman at the front desk was extremely rude and told me He's never heard of them asking for a vet note and he didn't know who or why that request was made. I told him the only reason I had the documentation with me was because I had been told it was required to avoid the fee. The situation escalated when the owner, Brian, called me. He verbally assaulted at me and argued that an Adequan injection was "not a reason" to cancel a grooming appointment. To be very clear: I did not reschedule because he was simply receiving an Adequan injection. I rescheduled because my 15-year-old dog was LIMPING. I wanted him seen and treated before putting him through a grooming appointment. His health and comfort will always take priority over a grooming appointment. What I found most disturbing was that during this confrontation, Brian told me that he would not release the dog to me. That crossed a line for me. Whatever disagreement we may have had about a cancellation policy or fee, telling the person responsible for a 15-year-old senior dog that you will not release that dog to them is completely unacceptable to me. Businesses have every right to establish cancellation policies. My issue is how this situation was handled: requiring proof of a veterinary visit, being rude when I provided the requested proof, dismissing the actual reason I rescheduled, yelling at me, and then telling me the dog would not be released to me. Attempting to make me out to be an angry black woman is the lamest and oldest trick in the book. There is another review from another customer citing the same issues with care and accountability with the owner. I wonder if he was yelled at the way I was.

Wolly is a 12 lb, 10 year old Maltipoo who is very social but definitely set in his ways, so we do not say this lightly: we truly cannot say enough good things about the care he received here. From a logistics standpoint, the entire experience was incredibly easy. The flexibility of drop off before noon without needing daily sign ups was a huge win for us while traveling and juggling plans. Pick up as late as 7 PM was equally helpful, and the pricing felt very reasonable for the level of service. What really stood out was the thoughtfulness around safety and care. The facility is secure and gated at drop off, and we watched staff carefully manage dog flow right at the entrance. At one point, a team member even positioned themselves between our children and a larger dog out of an abundance of caution. That level of awareness told us everything we needed to know. We also appreciated the small but meaningful details. There is a live camera so we could check in whenever we missed him. They feed dogs separately and sanitize the area afterward, which gave us real peace of mind. But the true highlight was the caregivers. The way they greeted Wolly each day, how gently they handled him, and how clearly they knew the dogs in their care made this place special. Every afternoon we received the most adorable photo of him, and by midweek he was literally running inside, tail wagging, completely comfortable and happy. As dog parents, there is no better feeling than knowing your pup loves where he is and is being looked after by professionals who genuinely care. Wag Hotels Hollywood made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of Wolly. We will absolutely be back the next time we are in LA.

The first couple times we used Sitter4Paws we had a really great experience with the sitters that were assigned to our senior, diabetic cat. Last year, my mother unexpectedly passed away, and our regular cat sitter was unavailable for half of the trip home. We booked Sitter4Paws the second half of the trip, and let them know about the circumstances and requested sitters that had seen Jodie before so that we could rest easy during a very difficult time. Of course we know that can't always be accommodated due to scheduling, so for the first visit a new sitter came to see Jodie. On the evening of my mother's passing, we got a text from Sitter4Paws that the sitter felt he may have made a mistake with our cat's insulin dosage. It was revealed to us that instead of giving her her normal 2.25 unit dose, he gave her 22.5 units - ignoring the taped off/labeled syringes, our explicit written instructions in the app, and additional photos/diagrams of what a full syringe should look like. Thank god he realized his mistake, otherwise our cat would have slowly died alone in our apartment - and this would have happened immediately after losing my mom. I understand mistakes can happen, but the fact that a sitter was uncertain with potentially life-threatening medication if administered improperly and didn't even think to reach out to us first was quite shocking. Sitter4Paws took full responsibility, admitted their mistake, said they would take steps to make sure something like this would never happen again, and covered her 4 day ER stay, but it never should have gotten to that point. Again - we did have great sitters who took care of our cat wonderfully - but the uncertainty of who you can get especially with medication involved means that we can no longer recommend this service with confidence.
