There was a slight miscommunication when we booked an appointment, it wasn't mentioned that the groomers had moved out of their space in Little Tokyo. However, Danniel offered to pick up and drop off our dog, for his grooming appointment which was a very nice service. When our dog got home, he looked great and was very happy. She took to them immediately and had to be dragged back out to the car. The team sent us tons of photos and videos every day and made sure to double check our dog's feeding and medicine schedule. Extra special shoutout to JESS, who went above and beyond for us and for Sage. They are bonded for life. We will not hesitate to bring our dog back to Puppy Island. We are admittedly helicopter dog parents and are super picky when it comes to her! Their rates are super reasonable, but truly the service they provided was priceless to us.

This most recent stay, she was extremely dirty--her fur was greasy, she smelled strongly of urine, and she looked like she had been living in an unclean environment. Before boarding, I asked if I could see the kennels and where the dogs sleep, but they refused to let me. Looking back, that should have been a red flag. They always ask if you'd like to pay for a bath before pickup. This time I declined because of the extra cost, and when I picked her up, it became obvious why they push that service. A dog shouldn't come home filthy simply because you didn't pay for a bath. After one bath at home, her eyes were already much better within a day. I won't be bringing my dog back, and I would not recommend this facility.

After discussing the options, he was able to remove all of the mats while preserving her coat, which I really appreciated. He was patient, knowledgeable, and handled my cat with care throughout the grooming process. When he was finished she looked great and, just as importantly, she was calm and didn't seem overly stressed. As a cat owner, that meant a lot to me. The results exceeded my expectations. My cat's coat is soft and healthy again, all of the matting is gone, and he was able to save her beautiful coat without having to shave her into a lion cut. If you're looking for a skilled cat groomer who treats cats with patience and compassion, I would definitely recommend him. I'm very happy with the experience and will absolutely call him for future grooming. He was available within a day or so and was flexible when I had to reschedule.

We brought him back to Mina (after a year of not seeing him). He definitely needed time to adjust again but Mina was extremely patient and gave us lots of great advice. Over time and after some planned frequent visits he was able to settle in again. So much so that she watched him for an entire two week period while we went on an international trip. Best grooming in Los Angeles! They clearly love their job and the dogs that come in. They've got a great attitude, affordable prices, but most importantly--they deliver! My dog Rupert is excited to go, they give him a bath, handsome cut, trim & file his nails. At pickup, his hair is soft and his smile is wide! They're also much faster than other groomers I've gone to. Some places take 5 hours. They tend to take 2-3 hours. Can't recommend enough! read more

I am very DISAPPOINTED at this place! I was hoping they could get the job done, but they did not deliver. I paid $171 for a haircut, wash, nail trim, eat pluck! NOT WORTH IT! For that much money, I was expecting something acceptable. I've seen other groomers do better than what they delivered. My dog has anxiety when he's being groomed. He's been reported to resist and growl and nip at the clippers from my regular groomer. Yes, it might be difficult, but it IS doable. Look at pics of my dog from other groomers. While my dog was at the groomers, I got a text saying that they are going to charge me $30 EXTRA because my dog is "aggressive." OK. I'll pay for it for you to get the job done well. Few texts later, I was told his haircut couldn't be done cuz he was just trying to bite, even if he had a nozzle on. I feel like I shouldn't have been charged the extra $30 especially since they couldn't get the job done properly. If you're gonna charge me extra, GET IT DONE WELL. It is disappointing because they are already expensive, but the additional cost for a BAD JOB was very unacceptable. I also paid for an eat plucking, and THAT WAS NOT DONE! THE HAIRCUT IS ALSO DONE VERY POORLY!! LOOK AT THE PICTURES!! TAKE YOUR MONEY AND BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE! YOUVE BEEN WARNED. I even asked if I can be there with him next time and they said no.
