She listened carefully and picked my brain to obtain a better understanding of my personal expectations while also giving me her ideas and professional advise. Outcome: I love how it's now completely layered. I felt great walking out as if the weight was lifted off my shoulders (head). She got rid of the unevenness and puffed out section on the back of my head while maintaining my preferred hair length. I just came across this salon on Yelp and saw awesome reviews about it. Called to see if there's any availble appointment the same day, they gladly told me to come in within 30 minutes. Went in and asked for a cut and highlights, surely Anh gave me the perfect cut I wanted in 20 minutes. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the highlights due to an emergency I needed to attend to. This place is a gem. I have thick curly hair and usually fear Asian salons because their stylists normally try to thin it out or ask if I'd want to get it permanently straightened. Walking in I was very hesitant but the reviews about Ann made me feel inclined to just give it a try. She's wonderful. I walked in with my natural curls to show her what kind of texture my hair was. I wanted to go from a medium length to a short bob. She listened to everything I said and even confirmed the lengths with me before she made the cuts. She cut my hair while it was dry to assure it wouldn't become too short from curl shrinkage. I also have a blonde balayage and she asked me if it was okay for her to cut so much of the blonde off. This is the worst place ever!! I usually go to a place down the street and I was kind of under a time crunch so I thought hey ill give them a try. The girl that did my nails did a Horrible job!!! Didn't file, they were snagging everything!! Didn't color the whole nail. So mad. Also, when I lim about to pay, this lady tells me they are charging me an extra $5 to remove my old gel nails?? I was in need of a change, so I went here for a haircut due to the reviews. Huge mistake. First off, as soon as I was seated in the chair, the lady put the same cloth used on the previous client on me. I had to tell her I was itchy and only then did she get a clean cloth to cover me. I had another man's hair in my clothes, gross and so itchy. Then the lady did not take the time for me to tell her what I wanted before cutting. She was snipping away as I told her what I wanted. She told me my hair will swoop to the side, I had to tell her no, I do middle parts, I need my bangs to be even (I already described what I wanted before she told me this). The bangs framing my face are 2 completely different lengths. While combing my hair, she did not comb out the knots completely but cut them off. I also have a random short hair sticking out... my hair was long and one length so I know this lady butchered my hair. She also made comments about me having thin hair... completely unnecessary. Save your hair, Do not go here. Doing my best to stay calm as it took me years to get my hair to one length just for this lady to ruin it. read more

Ok so twice have I made an appointment with Ahn and twice she didn't make it or she was running late. First she told me Jenny can take care of me and she did an OK job she cut my band way to short after I told her not to. So I said whatever I can pin it back. Second time she was running late and set me up with Lee because Jenny had a client. He's a Great person but he gave me a horrible hair cut. I was upset already Anh had me waiting 15 mins after my appt time, she calls me and tells me she's running late and that Lee can take care of me. My graduation was the day of and I had other things to do and wouldn't be able to wait for her. Appt was at 9 finish around 10:35am and still no sign of Ahn. Anyways, after the hair cut and style it was OK I was NOT 100% happy. I told him not to cut my bangs too short (AGAIN) but he did anyways. Why didn't I complain then and there? Because the way he styled it covered all the flaws and after I had washed it two days later I saw the real deal. Long strays i had to cut myself and fix a few areas here and there. I would have called Ahn but my hair is short already and the only way she can fix it is by cutting it shorter and that's not happening. She'll probably be to busy to fix it anyways. I hate to be the one to give a bad review but I have to give people the heads up. I'm kind of embarrassed to complain because I had good conversations with Lee. I just wish I can put my hair back. I guess I just gotta wait til next winter to start over. Oh and he charged me 30$ when Ahn told me 20$ +5$ for a wash.. I figured he's a nice guy so what the heck. Plus I tipped him 5$. Ann is amazing. I visited this place the day before I was to attend an engagement party and Ann made my hair look sophisticated and sexy. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I had THE worst hair salon experience here a few weeks ago. I had to get myself together in order to write this review. I went in for a TRIM and left with half of my hair length gone. The lady (I didn't get her name- older Asian lady) kept snipping a little at a time so I didn't even notice until she was done. She thinned it out so much too. When I went to get it fixed elsewhere a few weeks after the stylist said it was so badly cut we could only even it out a bit since I didn't want to lose more length. Also, they were busy- I was the second person waiting. They finally put me in a chair and someone she got started on me, but kept going back to the other person. Also, she didn't wash/wet my hair to cut it. Just sprayed the ends with a little water. I have/had a lot of hair and it's wavy so I don't know how she was cutting evenly. Just stay away. If you have little to no hair, an easy cut or style head to this place. If you want an actual hair cut or style steer clear of this place. read more

First time coming today and Ann was backed up, which seems typical for a weekend, especially with walk-ins and everything. I came on time for my appt. but ended up waiting an extra 30-40 min. until Ann was free. She apologized and went straight to cutting my hair. I was worried that Ann would be busy with other clients or answering phones that she wouldn't focus on my hair. She surprised me! My hair is never an excitement for salons, because of its tangles, waves, thickness, and frizziness. I always get frustration with my hair from stylists when I go to the salon. Ann complimented my hair, listened to what I had to say, and even cut my hair dry knowing that it would look different if cut wet. She even taught me how to care for my hair, to style it everyday, so that I wouldn't wake up with the frizzies. She knows her stuff and is very nice. Be patient as she really tries to accomodate to everyone who needs her for her hair magic skills. I recommend calling first and expect some back up especially on the weekends, but you'll love her. After being disappointed by a few shops/salons, my fiancé had me try Ann. My first cut with her, she cut my hair perfectly. I've found my new hair stylist!!!!
