To say I shopped out the quoting process would be an understatement. Jeff's quote was very fair, easy to understand, and on the lower $ range due to not having the overhead of most other companies. In the end, I decided to go with Archwood for my project and I'm so glad I did. Unlike most other contractors who over quote and rush through the job to maximize profits, Jeff will take whatever time is needed to do the job right...period. Here is the thing that is pretty rare: he listens AND is patient. Any concerns I had along through the project as I'm anal when it comes to details and perfection and any changes I wanted to make during the project, he not only listened, but he made sure my concerns were completely addressed each and every instance. I can't speak highly enough of the character of this young man. In my case, he underbid my job with the time it took for him to complete this big project and because he went over and above on getting the job done right to my satisfaction, I gave him a 60% cash bonus because he flat out deserved it. The deck looks incredible. In sum, Jeff and Archwood was not the fastest option as he does the majority of the work himself, but if you want the job done right by a man who is meticulous with details, with integrity and pride of doing great quality work (as if it was his own home), Jeff is the man for the job. His quote was fair and reasonable and clearly defined parts vs. labor. He completed the job in 2.5 days (due to daylights savings time reducing the amount of sunlight on what would have likely normally been a 2 day job), and he was very thorough. The railings and posts look great, and it is the finishing touch on our house that really pulls it all together. Roger was polite and respectful and very communicative. We found the…read moreexisting deck had some rotted posts and was not level anymore due to some poor construction from the last builder. The other issue we needed to address was all the dirt was graded toward the house to accommodate escaping a window well underneath the deck. This actually caused 2 problems, the rain water would pool into the house and cause high humidity and sometimes water in my basement. Also, having the well under the deck was against fire code without some sort of hatch. So Roger helped me come up with a great solution to build a patio at ground level and up against the window well, and then have the deck step down to the patio. He helped me with the design and was very hands-on in helping me develop a patio/deck we really liked. It turned out great and looks awesome. He worked through the heat in July but never cut any corners. I know because I asked 100 questions and he answered them all for me. I can say the deck is perfectly level and probably bomb proof. The patio turned out better than we could hope for. I'll be coming back for some landscape work next year knowing Roger's pride in his work. Thanks man!

After years of upgrades to our home mainly focused on infrastructure (new roof, new deck, HVAC,…read morewindows and doors, etc.) and some lighter remodeling (new kitchen cabinets and counters and two smaller bathroom refreshes), my lovely wife and I finally decided this was the year to do our dream master bath and to do it right as in taking it down to the studs and building it to our specs. Our main focus was to remove the jet tub that we almost never used and to have a spa shower we could dance (and sit) in. Wanting, as usual, to keep our business local, we compiled a list of potential contractors from Yelp and social media and had several out to look at our current bathroom, listen to our needs and dreams, and to make them into reality. While we did have a top budget figure in mind, we also know what we like and also know the rule of thumb is to add 20%. When Tom from T-Square arrived to work up his proposal, we could tell within 15 minutes that he knew what he was talking about and that he and his team could do what we were looking for. Once he delivered his quote, it wasn't the cheapest of the bunch but right in our comfort zone so we signed on the dotted line. One thing of note, his payment terms were just as they should be, small deposit to put us on the schedule then a percentage of the total at larger milestones (start of demo, tiles installed, walls painted, etc.). T-Square does include items like bath fixtures, shower glass, vanity and counter tops and tile allowances in the quote, but we were free to choose some upgrades that would be added to the second to last payment. We did several upgrades to shower fixtures, heated floor and quartz rather than granite for counter tops and shower bench. Something we've experienced with other contractors is the term "broom clean", meaning that at the end of each day, the work area is swept up to try and keep the dust and debris down. T-Square went beyond that with tarps on the floor leading from the front door, up the stairs and into the master bed and bath. At the end of the work, they also brought in a cleaning service that took them beyond "broom clean" to "ready to use". Very long story short, Tom and his crew are a bunch of personable craftsmen who delivered exactly what we desired for our new master bath, from the plumbing and electrical to the tiling and painting and everything in between, with attention to detail. And tops on my list, Tom is a great communicator who always let us know when they'd be at the house and what they'd be doing. As my daughter so aptly said, we now have a master bath worthy of HGTV, thanks to T-Square Construction. The words on the bottom of their proposal "Build-Remodel-Improve" literally hit the nail on the head.

I got a lot of apologizing but no one available to do the work, which has cascaded into negative impact on downstream work scheduled with other contractors on the overall project. They charged me $2200 to assemble my furniture and told me they weren't leaving until I do. I paid $750 already..which was too much for the job. They never went over hourly rate or pay with me initially. Then they called police on me and lied to the officer to say I wouldn't pay. I paid an additional $400. They also told me after calling police they weren't going to leave my home. These people are vultures. Beware of calling these people. They will cheat you out of money. If I could give no stars I would. They also kept taking breaks and smoking outside of my home and went to my garage. My autistic son has asthma. Never asked permission. Just took complete advantage of me. I was in tears after this.
