I got lucky discovering M Nails Studio and finding Martin. My first visit was toward the end of last year, and I took a chance based on their already stellar reviews -- I'm really glad I did. Martin does my nails, and he's always kind, professional, and somehow manages to bring my random little nail ideas to life. One thing I really appreciate is how open he is to feedback. You never know how a nail tech will take it when you want to tweak something, but Martin always listens and makes adjustments without making it uncomfortable. That's huge for me because it makes the whole experience feel easy and respectful. The whole team is attentive too. They've offered me water every visit, and sometimes even snacks while I'm there. It's those small touches that make the place feel welcoming. The spa chairs are a hit btw, and I also love the mini hand/foot massage at the end. It's such a nice extra. Yen does my pedicures, and she's wonderful too. She's thorough, gentle, and consistently does a great job. I know gel nails with designs can get expensive fast, but M Nails Studio has been really fair with pricing, especially for the quality and detail. Came here yesterday and it was pretty uncomfortable. The vibe was off. Small selection of colors to choose from. I had my natural nails painted with gel and my nail shape is uneven on several nails. like she didn't file them or cut them to be even... I had to ask several times for things to be fixed that I've never had to ask at a nail salon (can you cut this cuticle?) Girl doing my pedicure looked 18, and basically painted my whole toe then went back and removed polish from around the nail? Which is completely obvious on my nails. Had her hair down and had strings of hair getting in polish while she's painting , and on my feet. Also the woman stood over me at checkout time and pointed to the tip, then stared what I was putting in for the tip. Extremely uncomfortable experience. Won't be back . Edit: The manager called after I made this review to try to explain things, which I appreciated and added an extra star for, but then I read his reply to my review. This is very much not my first gel-x experience and it's kind of insulting to hear excuses for why I would be at fault for any pain or discomfort experienced while getting my nails done. I've gotten gel-x for 10+ years and no tech has ever burned me in the process. The manager also said there was a language barrier, but I understood him very clearly when he was asking about the shape and length I wanted. Regardless, there's a way to navigate language barriers without completely ignoring your client. But I do appreciate the effort that the manager put in to correct the issues I had. Original post: This place was so unwelcoming! I called ahead for an appointment and asked about pricing and let them know I was looking for a gel x manicure with design and a pedicure. When I got there, no one greeted me or anything I just got silently escorted to a chair where this guy silently started removing my old set and ... you guessed it- said nothing. While he was removing my old set, he burned multiple of my nails/fingers with the tool he was using. My hand pulled back instinctively out of pain and I told him he burned me and he still said nothing. After more silence I tried to start a casual friendly convo with him and he continued to ignore me. When I was asked about the design, I showed them the inspo picture and they quoted an astronomical price for a relatively simple look. They were unable to use the inspo pic to even suggest colors from their own selection, and they made it so impossible that I decided to just get a simple paint color (when I typically prefer design) just to move the process along. They then told me that my gel pedicure was going to be $10 more than I was quoted on the phone when making the appointment. Whoever I spoke to had failed to mention that tax was not included in the quote they gave me for the simple nail polish and it ended up being $10 more. There was an additional $4 charge for using my card. All-in-all this was a very uncomfortable experience. The staff seemed disinterested and unprofessional. One of my toes didn't even get a second coat of paint (which I didn't realize until I had left the salon). The lack of attention to detail along with the cold energy of the environment and the people in it is why I'm not going to be returning. read more

I needed a little me time and being disappointed from the place that I got my nails done I decided to try this place out. I was a walk-in for a mani and pedi and waited maybe five minutes as they were busy. They sat me down and offered me water and gave me a catalog to choose my color. Once the girl sat down to work on me, I have to add that I came in with really bad nails, some were short with left over nail polish from previous and she looked at my nails and said she would make them round and she got to work. She did mentioned some nails were a bit too short but she made it work. Once done she worked on my pedicure and made my feet look pretty. I called at noon for a builder gel manicure and regular pedicure, they were friendly and organized and said to arrive at 1. I arrived and the shop was cute and quite so relaxing. They thought I asked for a regular manicure so it seemed like a little rush to get the hard gel. I brought my own polish for my pedicure and was charged extra. I chose cat eye for my nails and am not entirely happy with the way they turned out... a little 80s figure skating instead of cute playing with the light. I am writing this negative review overall because of the lack of attention to detail and sub par service. For the pedicure- everything was perfect except the fact that I asked for a base coat in a specific color and for the color I brought to be used as a top coat- forgotten or disregarded, who knows. As for my manicure, I normally get a hard gel/builder gel set and I am deeply disappointed in this one. My nails feel like corn chips because the builder gel went on so thick- and I have tiny nails. The worst part of this experience is that I still have so many mini cuts along my cuticle line from where I was cut and bleeding. I wanted this place to work as it is so close to me, but $145 to have cuts on my cuticles, leftover nail polish on my skin, and my requests to be ignored is crazy. read more

I researched a lot of salons in the area to find the best quality pedicure (at a good price) and I'm so glad I went with this place. I chose the Signature Pedicure and added on paraffin wax so I could really treat myself. I included a picture-- look how decadent that service cart is! Heidi was my nail tech and she did such a thorough, fabulous job. She wasn't just going through the motions, but carefully worked on my toes to make them as pretty and perfect as possible. She was so gentle, I could barely feel her working on me as I relaxed in the massage chair. The package even includes the gel polish-- something I didn't see listed on other salon's websites. I came in for a gel pedi and mani, where they were timely and more affordable than other places in the area. The first time I was here I came for acrylics with gel x on my fingers and gel x on my toes. The nail polish on my fingers chipped within a few days and the toe nail the technician artificially created (my real toe nail fell off) was too wide and large compared to my opposing toe. I called the salon only to address the paint chipping and the manager was happy to help repaint my nails. However, when I walked in, all the employees turned to stare at me. This made me feel very uncomfortable with a pit in my stomach but I shrugged it off. I returned a second time because a few weeks later due to normal wear and tear my toenail chipped. This was when a different employee pointed out how uneven the fake toenail was, so she recreated it to make it more proportionate to my foot. The third time I came here I got another acrylics with gel x manicure and pedicure. Within 4 days, 2 of my nails had chipped. The manager did allow me to return to get them fixed for free but again, all of the employees simultaneously turned around to stare at me when I walked in, and I felt a very hostile energy when I sat in the chair. I really got the sense I was not welcome there, as if this was my fault when I have gone to other nail salons and did not have this issue. I would also like to add that every time I've come here, the employees talk to each other a lot in their language which is fine but it's mixed in with a lot of laughing and not making eye contact with me, so I was starting to get the feeling that they were making comments about me during the service that were negative. This was my 4th visit to this place, unfortunately it wasn't a good experience this time around. When I first got there my best friend and I were walk ins, they took us right away which is awesome and I was asked what design I wanted showed them the picture pretty simple. They asked me to pick a color I don't understand why they ask that if I'm showing u the picture with the color, I picked it was to light, asked for a darker one they did with the lighting I could really see. Now the actual service was getting my nails done with one guy,next thing u know a girl asks to sit next to him, (fellow co worker) they are chit chatting the whole time. I'm uncomfortable because it honestly i feel like there is no real attention to what they are doing. Then the girl does one pinky looks good, then she does all the other ones super fast, she wasn't even my nail tech she was the co worker that sat next to my nail tech to chit chat. You can see how the dots are spaced out weird and one pinky even has a half a dot at the end. Also the color is completely off. I was so overwhelmed by the situation I wanted to get out. Having to people talking about stuff right in front of u is so awkward. this terrible nail set was also 90$ and the chrome is already coming off its been 4 days. Will not be returning. And even if they said I can come back to get a redo why would I when they made it so uncomfortable. read more

Unlike other nail shops when you make an appointment you are greeted at the time you arrived for your appointment no waiting also everything is sanitized completely on the chairs on the tables on the instruments. I had my nails done and a pedicure, and after my pedicure, I went to the nail desk and I watched them as they do for all customers will clean the chairs off, sanitize it and same with the nail station I haven't seen that at my last shop... their pedicures are amazing. They wrap your feet and leg and hot towels. They give you a foot massage and they're all very nice there...not to mention they offer water sodas juice, chips, chocolates snacks, no extra charge. It's just a nice warm feeling that makes you want to come back I finally found a nice nail shop. Lots of parking next door who could ask for anything more?
