Went for specifically for a curly hair cut .. was charged $113 discounted price for a hair cut I NEVER EVEN GOT. They put over the counter product you can buy at a stir on my hair as a conditioner and that was it. They told me to return for an actual cut and additional cost. Background: about 7 years ago I had a horrible salon experience, which left me highly skeptical of any salons afterward. I went in for highlights and left with streaks where it was totally noticeable that they didn't blend in the colors. After that I went straight black. It's been about 2 years since another stylist has touched my hair. My experience: I went into D'Vinas super anxious. Lina and the team there really explained the process to me and settled my nerves about the entire thing. I went into this salon with dark brown hair wanting a balayage. What I received was completely everything I wanted. The team were so honest with me and let me know the steps I would need to take in order for me to achieve the look I wanted in the picture. To say the least it was more than a cut and color for me that day, but really was a healing moment. The team were knowledgeable, kind and extremely funny. They even allowed my husband to be with me the entire time. It took Lina and the team about 3 and a half hours which is completely fine with me since I know that when it comes to perfection, people need to take their time. From the consultation to the washing to the chair again, it was tiring (couldn't imagine how Lina felt) but the complimentary tea helped a lot. Perfection is what I would give this salon. Terrible outcome. "Stylist " and owner don't listen to customer, and charge ridiculous prices. Owner is all about herself. I made the mistake of going there, and they dropped the ball in every single aspect. My hair was like straw after they touched it. No refund, no apologies, and didn't even roll my hair properly. First pic is what I paid for, and second pic is what they did to my hair. Totally incompetent. I went to Fantastic Sams and received amazing service and a fantastic hairstyle. What a great salon full of friendly, helpful, skilled people all working together to help each other make sure you get the results you are looking for! Everybody pitches in with everything. What a great work environment. My 14-year-old son got a perm here and it looks awesome! It is just what he's looking for. His hair is the kind that doesn't take a curl easily so they went a little bit tighter on it so it would hold better than the inspiration pic but that was intentional. Highly highly highly recommend and honestly I will be doing my hair here when the haircut I gave myself (YIKES ) back in January grows out enough! Here are some pictures. Good place for a men's style cut. Rather than the typical barber shop. I have seen 3 different stylists and all were great.

Stay away!!! Overprocessed my hair. It has been six months with very costly moisturizing treatments and my hair still looks like dried straw. Before this salon touched my hair, it had a healthly sheen. Additionally, I showed them an image of the haircut I had previously and the stylist completely ignored me. It will easily be a year before my hair will be able to be cut properly. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I booked an appointment for my mother and I as I was visiting her and we wanted a spa day. I showed the stylists a couple photos of what I wanted and a photo of what I did NOT want. The first photo below is what I left with the first time. I went back a couple days later for the owner to fix the mistake. On top of the $200 I was charged the first time, I was charged another $70 for the second photo. Again, not what I referenced. I was under the dryer for over an hour with dye dripping down my face. Now my hair had been dyed twice and looked awful. I finally contacted a different salon so that I could stop wearing a hat in public to cover up this monstrosity. The third picture is what the back of my head and underneath looked like. I was NEVER offered a refund and obviously had to pay full price at the new salon. $600 later and I'm finally content but my hair is damaged beyond belief. There were no apologies from Jackie or Davina, instead they blamed me. Such awful customer service and even worse problem solving skills. They are all overbooked. I was one of three clients that a stylist was working on at the same time. Awful. Awful. Awful. read more

She is really good, really nice and D'Vina was really friendly as well, It's a relaxed atmosphere and the entire team at the Salon wants to really learn about you as a customer and help you be happy with your style. Great experience from the first contact with Denzel, who was patient finding the time frame for my three services. My experience started with Karrie the massage therapist. I had a 90 minute therapeutic massage. I came in needing some serious help. I was not disappointed. I have had a lot of massages and Karrie's was great. Then off to Agatha for my hydro facial. She told me at every step what she was using as the facial progressed. Very informative, supremely relaxing and my skin looks great. Mika was next, she did a really great job on my hair cut. i would have gave it zero if i could, my mother and i went in today for a haircut and her roots and my highlight. My mom just wanted her roots (grays) touched up and I wanted blonde highlight. From the beginning they were way to nice and we both knew this was not gonna be good. Everything goes well until we find out what color they really gave us GRAY THEY GAVE US GRAY. I wanted highlights and low lights but was "convinced " by D'vina herself that it wouldn't look good and I should get an Hombre! ($334) The girl that was actually doing the hombre had to ask him many questions and was clearly not comfortable with what she was doing. After 4 1/2 hours in the salon my hair was lavender. Upon leaving I was in tears! They were so kind to reduce my bill from $334 to $317. . Mind you I wouldn't even let them trim my hair at that time. Don't even know where to start. First, I do not mind paying high prices for my hair IF it's down correctly. I drove from Sarasota to this salon due to its positive ratings and I wish I could do the same . I requested partial highlights , root touch up , and a trim . I have long hair (not down my back ) past shoulder length. I paid $234 plus tip and that was with a $20 off coupon courtesy of yelp. I now have highlights that are white/gray in color not blonde/ caramel , couldn't see this in lighting at salon. I still have some gray hairs showing that were not covered. Also several highlights are bigger than the other ones and streaky looking .It took a few minutes over 4 hours to do my hair . I have never had it take that long maybe 2 at the most . In the process of getting my hair processed the stylist let the big shield cover on the dryer fall and hit me in the nose hard. The atmosphere was not relaxing at all. One lady was complaining the guy cut her hair off too short , she got up and left very angry. Another guy was there for a haircut and his stylist didn't even show up he was very upset . He drove from Sarasota also. Only 3 shampoo bowls but with the owner doing several people at once we couldn't get to one . Very chaotic place . The stylist Yvonne I had did not style my hair as I requested . Wanted smooth bigger curls . I got an 80s fluffy do. I had to come home and fix it . Several pieces of my hair were not even curled . I pointed that out to her . She said she kept missing pieces . I had been there 4 hours and smacked in the nose and my butt was sore from sitting so much . Going to the salon should be relaxing and when I leave I should feel great about my hair especially paying that much . Very disappointed in this place and the stylist not being professional ( laughing after she hit me in the nose with the dryer shield with another stylist ). I had the pleasure of going to D'vinas salon today. I was looking for highlights and a short cut after a couple bad experiences in this area at other salons. I was lucky to get Olivia. She was fabulous. She listened, discussed, asked questions and cared. She took her time and explained everything she was doing. I loved the experience and she put me at ease. It's the best cut and color I have ever had and will be going back moving forward. Also I want to point out that the salon has an upscale but not stuffy atmosphere. It's casual and fun. The best part for me was the diversity of the salon. Kudos to the owner Davina who truly cares about her customers and her stylists. She took the time to help people and show them tips on various things. She was not hesitant to jump right in and teach.
