Wow I didn't realize how old my last review was. I've checked in here on Yelp over 50 times, and probably have eaten here twice that many times. It's close to home and the perfect place for dinner with family of friends. Great service and wine selection. Happy hour prices are outstanding and include a discount on the whole list of wines by the glass if you're not up for the house wine. I agree with the previous reviewer that it needs a refresh and the artwork could use updating but it's our Cheers and we love it. read more

This restaurant is centrally located with plenty of free parking. Started with bruschetta, caprice, apple almond Brie and chipotle avocado (that had a little heat) All three were very good. I ordered the seafood Risotto. It had scallops, shrimp, and mussels It was tossed with creamy tomato Risotto. It was a dinner special. One negative is if you want a salad it's $6 extra. Plus it would have been nice to have bread. The table water had a cucumber in the water which touch. When the room filled up it was a little loud. read more

Went to D'Vine with a friend for a quick bite and a bottle of wine. Fortunately, we found an available table and were promptly seated by a pleasant hostess. Our waitress was also pleasant and friendly. I ordered the pasta with andouille sausage and it had a nice kick, very tasty with a generous portion. My friend ordered a Cobb salad which he enjoyed. We ordered a bottle of wine and it was priced with the typical price markup as most restaurants, approximately 3 times the retail price. I discovered that they have a wine tasting on Fridays and will see what that's like one of these Fridays. Ambience is casual. Overall, a decent experience. read more

Great experience all around! The ambiance was fun -- total wine-bar vibes -- and the food was so good. Every dish tasted fresh and well-made. It was pretty good. Service was pretty slow for lunch on a Saturday. Everything in East Mesa is slow, Marbury slow. They suffer like everywhere else: young kids do not know how to talk, and there is no sense of urgency, like WE are getting in their way for being there. HH wasn't bad. Dinner prices are outrageous. I was craving a particular item on their menu and when I got there, I was saddened to see that it wasn't being offered. I overheard someone on the staff say that they were sold out, so it was temporarily removed from the menu. I opted to try their Filet Mignon served over mashed potatoes and asparagus. Wow. The filet was exceptional. It was prepared exactly as I ordered it - medium rare. It was so tender, juicy and delicious! I'm a huge fan of their mashed potatoes and the asparagus was excellent. My drink of choice this evening was their red House Sangria, which was very good. The staff here always amazes me with how warm and friendly they are. The bartenders are excellent and a lot of fun! I came here with my dad on a Saturday night for dinner. We were seated outside with some live music and heat lamps. Great ambiance. My dad and mom had come here in various occasions before and had really enjoyed their food. My dad and I ordered a few of the small plates/appetizers to share and ended up a bit disappointed . We got the 3 different types of bruschetta: egg salad, smoked salmon, and caprese. The egg salad was decent but didn't have too much flavor. The smoked salmon had a bit of an off taste to it and while the caprese was decent it could've used some more salt. The bread was a little soggier than I would have expected for bruschetta. The tuna tartar was alright. The tuna tasted fresh but this bread was also soggy and hidden underneath an artichoke relish. Flavors didn't really work for us. It was a bit hard to eat. Lastly the calamari was not your typical fried calamari but instead was soaked in a teriyaki sauce. Way too salty. The hot peppers were good and the calamari was chewy but overall, it was too salty to enjoy. My parents had gone before and really enjoyed their food so I would give it another shot but not with these small plates unfortunately. read more

This is a nice, well laid out, fancy neighborhood eatery with a comfortable and relaxed environment conducive to enjoying some really, really good eats. We were there recently and pigged out on an outstanding Vegie Quesadilla, incredibly moist and juicy Pot Stickers, a Tapa du Jour with some Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Everything was outstanding. We really enjoyed the food. I didn't ask, but it tasted like the fettuccini was made in house. If I can suggest, get the fettuccini with the Cajun Alfredo sauce. It had a nice little kick and definitely spruced up a traditional Alfredo sauce. We went on a Friday evening and next time I would definitely sit out on the patio as they had live music that started at 6:30pm. I would go back. This is my go to spot in NE Mesa for date night. True 5 stars. Live music every night but not abrasive ever, it's comforting and relaxing good quality music. The food is fantastic. My favorite and the favorite of MANY regulars is the fried chicken dinner. Three large pounded buttermilk fried chicken breasts. Two can easily split or you can save half for lunch the next day. Crunchy outside, tender and juicy inside. The mashed potatoes come with a white gravy that is UNBELIEVABLE (order extra most regulars do). For small plates, I recommend the hummus plate, Cauliflower Bites or street tacos. Tuesdays they have free wine tasting, and Thursdays they have pizza or bruschetta and a bottle of wine for $25. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and if you come multiple times they will remember you. I eat here 2-3 times a month. HIGHLY RECOMMEND read more

Most d'vine place to be on a Friday night in northeast Mesa! My lasagna Bolognese was ooooo la la! I got 2 meals out of it! My friend had the grilled salmon. Needless to say, there were no remnants of salmon left on her plate. Hubby got the scallops, it was tasty, but something was a little off. I wasn't feeling the flavor. It was a little fishy tasting. Not that clean scallop taste that I like at other restaurants, but, our server was excellent and attentive! I recommend sitting outside. It was a chilly night, but they have heaters and curtains all around their patio to keep the chill at a minimum! Friday nights and weekends are busy, so be sure to make reservations! If you like fish and chips, don't order it here. The fish is cooked with a very thick batter which was crispy on the outside, but way to thick and the fish inside was very mushy, not solid at all. When you get the plate, all looks good, fries and salad were good, but not the fish. When you take the batter off, there really isn't very much fish. read more

This spot has so many options that it was hard to decide (but not overwhelming like the book at the Cheesecake Factory). There are different wines, cocktails and unique pours. In addition, they have their regular menu, happy hour menu and the specials, but all were so appealing it was very hard to decide. In the end we decided to go with a cheese empenada (HH menu), the stuffed mushroom (regular shareable item) and the Duck with creamy risotto (special). My husband and I cleaned our plates! Everything was so savory and all the flavors blended so well. So impressed we couldn't stop talking about our dining experience that night or the next day! Again, what a pleasant surprise in E Mesa. A very nice casual feel in a great space! Robust menu, vegetarian options, lunch specials. I enjoyed a white wine flight and the cauliflower bites as my meal. I brought half of the bites (along with the black truffle ranch dressing) home. I'll go back with friends for happy hour soon. read more

This was one of the best meals we've experienced lately & we've been trying several spots in the East valley. The place was clean, quaint & although our server wasn't very attentive, she was friendly'ish. The wine selection was extensive & I always appreciate that. Love the outdoor patio & live music & the menu was full of fantastic sounding options, but super bummer... the salmon is farmed Took a bit to get our food. It was prepared & plated very nicely & tasty, even though someone in the kitchen had a heavy hand with the salt. It was a bit much in the forbidden rice & the pot roast, but the roast was melt in your mouth. We will definitely go back & try some other options. The fried chicken looked amazing. UPDATE: 2nd try. Service is like the temperature...chilly & not very attentive. My man ordered the lasagne & it really was tasty, but I ordered the same as before; ahi tuna over forbidden rice. The rice was so salty I couldn't even eat it. It is supposed to have an essence of coconut, but you couldn't make that out through the salt - & I like salt! The wasabi aïoli was sweet with barely a hint of wasabi & the mango relish lacked flavor. kinda sad, but the asparagus was done nicely. The idea is inviting. We also shared a Caesar salad which was fresh & crispy, but way overly dressed. We'll give it one more try, but I'll definitely be ordering something different. read more

We specially requested outdoor seating and had to wait about 20/25 min for a table to open up. I ordered the veal , which I thought was deckhouse. My GF ordered a pasta dish which we were planning to take home. Unfortunately we accidentally left the to go box on the table. We spent about 10 min in the front of the restaurant and bought a bottle of wine to take home. When we got home, we realized we forgot the box. After a long afternoon SUP on the lake we headed to D'Vine. The opted for the couch seating on the patio as all tables were full. Good sign for a Wednesday evening. There was live music and the environment was comfortable. Pros: Our main course was fabulous. Wait staff was friendly and prompt. Bar was able to serve up a delicious non- alcoholic drink for the designated driver and the others had great drinks. Cons: Host was not very friendly. We ordered the cheese board and for an Italian restaurant it not impressive. Cheese was hard to cut leading to believe they don't know or care to soften appropriately. Someone was smoking that seemed non-stop outside and this bothered our group quite a bit. Would go back and try some other menu options when in the area. read more

I'm pretty disappointed in this spot. I went here the first time a couple weeks ago and had an amazing time. Food was great, ordered a pizza, mussels, some shrimp, and a couple drinks. I called them on Friday night last week to do a to go order and asked if I could pay extra to get the happy hour mussels to go. I saw they're only on the happy hour menu and thought - well, they're delicious, let me ask if they have the inventory and I'll be happy to pay a premium to get it to go! Morgan answered the phone and said she would ask the chef. I'm going to go ahead and assume she made a mistake when she started berating me about my questions, mocking me to the chef she was talking to. They had a full on conversation about how annoying and inconsiderate I was. I have no intention of ever going back here and have made it a point to tell people we shouldn't go here when they ask about grabbing some grub. Shame on you for being so malicious. read more

We've gone here off and on over 5 years. we stopped for a while as the food seemed to be off. We returned a few months ago and it was good, and again last night. They seem to have a new chef? or just better menu. Anyway, only gripe was there was no bread. All three of us had a different pasta meal, and it would have been nice to have a couple of slices of baguette or something on the plate. A lot of good sauce wasted. The ambiance is good, and the place is a nice neighborhood bar. Glad the food is better. Will return, but please, how about some bread! read more

For wine connoisseurs and local beer fans, this little spot might be right up your alley. Our friends are just those people so my husband and I meet them there from time to time. Social hour is going to be your best bang for the buck as I think their dinner menu is a bit pricey. However, their menu offers a nice variety of options. On our most recent visit, my husband and I found the perfect meal for us both- we shared the superfoods salad and the artichoke flatbread (we added chicken). The salad is a generous portion with fruit and quinoa and nuts with a yummy dressing. The flatbread is perfectly seasoned and grilled so it's not soggy-even in the middle. The addition of the protein makes it a nice sized meal. I love their sangria which is the blend of wine, peach schnapps, and triple sec! You have to order a second! They do have live music on the weekends- check their calendar- sometimes the style/genre of music is for a bit older crowd. Their patio is a nice place to sit when the weather permits and they have a mister system for summer nights. read more
