After perusing the menu & asking questions about menu items, I was disappointed to find out that the ONLY thing I am able to eat here is the Gyro. Good thing I like gyros! Everything else is made with citrus & because I have allergies, I cannot order anything else. The gyro is VERY GOOD & tasty! I was really impressed with it. After our massage, we noticed this restaurant just a few doors down and decided to give it a try. We were hungry and ready to eat. The waitress was friendly and helpful, which set a good tone for the meal. My wife ordered the Mediterranean Ceviche. As a native Peruvian, I tend to be quite particular when it comes to ceviche. That said, my wife--who usually eats very lightly--surprisingly ate most of the dish, so it's safe to say she really enjoyed it. I ordered the grilled chicken baguette, which unfortunately didn't meet my expectations. It lacked flavor, and while the bread looked like a baguette, it didn't taste like an authentic one. They were out of the potato salad that usually accompanies the dish but offered fries instead--and I have to say, the fries were outstanding. The décor is simple, and the space appears clean and well maintained. They also have a large patio area, which might be nice during cooler months, but it's definitely not ideal in the heat of summer. Kept hearing about how great the food is here at pita jungle, so I decided to try it out in my lunch break! Very fresh and clean when you walk in, hostess are very friendly and very knowledgeable. I ordered the original gyro with fries and an ice tea! Omg that TEA is amazing!! I love tea and this is one it my favorites!! Unfortunately the good was less then great, I got it to go as I said I was on my lunch break. I get back and as soon as I opened my wrap I noticed the meat was burnt, like very crispy burnt not just a little here and there! I had to pull most of the lettuce out because it looked wilted/slimy maybe like it was almost on its way out and not very fresh at all, there was not enough sauce on it to make it have a nice flavor. It was alright. I ordered delivery. It was not warm when it arrived. 11 min travel time from the restaurant to the place I was at. What a shame, really because I presume it would have been far more delucious if even partially warm. I also wasn't sure if there were sunflower seeds in my falafel balls. The gyro meat was tender, but again cold. And if I were to order again, I'd go pick it up (if not dining in) and I would order extra sauces because it wasn't saucy enough for my liking. Worst experience at this location with our to go order today. Over 8 dollars for this order of hummus that was like a spoonful. Our wraps had probably 5 small pieces of chicken when normally they are completely filled with chicken. My son's kids meal had 2 tiny pieces of chicken when normally it is filled, and his pita crisp was burnt so he wouldn't eat it. Very frustrating paying 50 bucks for a meal and everyone was still hungry after. Not sure what's going on with this location but very frustrating with this service. read more

We love this place. We usually sit at the bar even if not getting a drink because Shelsea adds so much to the experience. She is charming, fun and does her job with smiles for everyone. The other servers are good too. Can't go wrong with Maisey, Amanda or Hannah. Outside seating available on the patio or the bar. The food is a draw for us because we don't eat meat. They will substitute most meat offerings with tofu if requested. They also have plenty of meatless dishes available. Check out the side dishes for beans, vegetables and potatoes. We go a couple of times most weeks and never get tired of the choices. Prices are reasonable with a great Happy Hour. The hummus is wonderful with three types-red pepper, jalapeño, or plain. Choose the trio to try all three. All in all, Pita Jungle offers a relaxing experience, good, healthy food, great service and reasonable prices. read more

My friend and I got the wood fired salmon that comes with spinach and mashed potatoes. It was cooked perfectly and not dry at all. Not sure what seasonings they put on top of the fish but it was delicious and not to much to overpower the taste of the salmon. We ordered it to go and picking up was super easy and quick. They took our order including drink- waited another 10 minutes for the drink to come to our table- now mind you there was only 7 customers currently. Everything!!! This is the worst run pita jungle I have ever been too. I don't know how corporate hasn't figured it out yet. I will be placing a call to corporate myself. Three strikes you're out. Every single time we place a to-go order it's messed up or forgotten. It's not rocket science or difficult to put together an order for four people. I called to get a credit for the meals that they forgot and was told they were closing and had nobody but a shift lead there and that nobody there knew how to credit back my card. I told the girl that I have used them for catering before and that I'm not going to in the future anymore because I don't trust them not to mess that up too. She then hung up on me, big shocker since the lack of professionalism at this location. Dana Park is heads and tails above this one and I will continue to order from them going forward. read more

Good food. Wife ordered Philly Steak as she often does & indicated it was excelent. A friend & I ordered the carmelized cauliflower which was excellent. We both had the salmón salad which we enjoyed..Anothee friend said his gyro was tough & over cooked. Service was poor. Our starter plates & utensils were left on the table when the entres were served so that the table was over crowded and remained so throughout our meal.! Well.. I hate reviewing restaurant without pictures but this place deserve a review.. Not a good one unfortunately. We came here few times had one bad service while back. But today tops it all. First ordered the new Mediterranean shrimp ceviche. Key word "ceviche" also ordered baby ganoush as appetizer. Ordered the seared tuna with hummus and grilled chicken salad (by accident instead of the Mediterranean salad. Baba ganoush is always good so no issues. Got the shrimp ceviche. Which was littetaly one ceviche on a tostada for $14.99 which is pretty ridiculously priced imo. I'm eating the avacado and cucumber going not bad. Then I started to look around the plate going hey.. Where are the shrimp.. No shrimp to be found. So I asked the waitress and she's like oh sorry. Let me take that back, it is missing the shrimp. Then I get my fish back and it's litteraly same plate and they tossed some shrimp on the plate.. Now, I'm not all about wasting food. But really? Bring back the dish I just started eating back exactly same with tossed shrimp on top. Not to mention shrimp tasted like it was boiled in water.. No flavor definitely no ceviche flavored.. OK fine it is what it is. Then I looked at my wife's salad and asked ummm doesn't that come with salad dressing? Yes and I don't have any Ok.. Call the waitress back, oh sorry let me bring you the salad dressing. Then the salad had hand full of wilted brown lettuce.. Not to mention chicken was very dry. Then I got annoyed at this point and asked for the manager. After waiting a bit manager came and I explained him my issues. The manager says, I will take the ceviche and salad off the bill, anything else I can do for you.. No that would be nice and maybe talk to your staff about attention to detail. Get my bill waitress says, manager took off the ceviche off the bill. I said thank you.. Look at the bill chicken salad still on the bill. All I could do is laugh. Not going to be that guy that demand they take off the salad also. So paid my bill with 15% tip and said, well I guess this one is off the do not return list. read more

They did a great job with the set up. There are just the right amount of greenery & string lights to set the mood. Plenty of shade for those hot az days. Overall, just a great vibe! I will NEVER eat here again! If you're looking to come here for a nice meal, be ready for a chipped tooth! My family and I have been going to this food chain since it first opened in the 90s but today I was surprised to find a rock in my salad. Not only did I bite into this big rock while eating the salad, but it chipped my tooth. The restaurant refused to compensate me in the easiest way of a refund and a gift card. Neither of which harm a location of this rating. I now have to pay the dental bill on my own without the help of an understanding management at the McKellips Pita Jungle. Not only did this experience ruin my teeth but my family can't even finish their meal. My friend ended up getting the cheesecake (sorry it was gone so fast I didn't even get a pic). ‍ I started with tzatziki and a pita (you ever notice you don't get enough pita for all the tzatziki)? I should have passed on that... I put an order for just the wood fired salmon. I have to say this is where all 4 of those stars went. It was amazing. The dessert: their take on baklava (baklawa-it's really a thing, hence not as good as the other one), was crunchy and dry. The service wasn't all that either. We sat on the patio. I don't know how many tables she had inside, but the waiter at the other outside table was always there. Our server - not so much. Get the salmon and the cheesecake and you'll be happy.... This time my Philly Steak Pita was terrific - perfectly proportioned out and giving me exactly what I was craving. My friend ordered the Mediterranean Chicken Salad. As you'll see from my photo, it's probably enough to serve at least three people. She loved it and highly recommended the dish. Tonight I had pita jungle for the first time since being diagnosed with my food allergies last August. It's hard to find gluten free food that tastes good and OH DID PITA JUNGLE SURPASS MY EXPECTATIONS! I got the gluten free spinach 4 cheese quesadilla with the tzatziki. It was heaven in my mouth. But it wasn't just the food that made tonight perfect! Our server Maisy, was very attentive and kind and quick to help us. Maisy also had to serve the entire restaurant by herself tonight. She did amazing. If the hosts hadn't told me she was the only server on I wouldn't have guessed that. As a server, I look for how quick and attentive and nice other servers are. Maisy is one of the best servers I have ever encountered outside of my restaurant. If you decide to come to Pita jungle (which you should because it's amazing) ask for Maisy! My family came here for dinner. We ordered the pita and hummus platter to start and then I ordered the vegan burger. The hummus and pita was delicious and would definitely order again. The vegan burger (mostly mushroom) was alright and overall just felt like I was eating a sandwich of veggies rather than a plant based burger. Food portions here were huge but we were hoping for a bit more with the quality of the food. Good service though and a large menu, so may be worth giving it another shot and trying out some more of their menu items. read more

I've never been Into a Pita Jungle before so it was my first time my boyfriend talked me into grabbing a snack here since it's close to our home and I was shockingly surprised by how fresh all the ingredients that go into the dishes here tastes. We split a gyro and some roasted potatoes. Now it wasn't a gyro that I was use to eating because it had diced pickles in it but it was really really yummy and the meat wasn't over seasoned to where I would need to run home and take my blood pressure medicine lol. Now to the roasted potatoes I could eat them all day they were roasted perfectly and had a good seasoning to them. Our server was very polite and friendly I'm just sorry it took me over two years to try this place I recommend the Mesa on Mckellips location. read more

I've been eating at Pita Jungle for over 25 years and have frequented numerous locations. My friends have all worked at PJ and one time or another and I've always loved how consistently delicious it is. I've always gotten the California beach lavash wrap or the chicken lavash pizza and Hummus. This location is closest to my house and I order takeout from here quite often. The last few times I've gotten the CA beach wrap, it's had a few pieces of chicken, no avocado, pickles or pesto mayo and the side salad consists of mostly feta and a just a few pieces of lettuce. The lavash is extremely hard to bite into. The first time I figured it was a mistake, but after ordering it a few more times, it's been the same thing. I'm pretty upset that my total is over 18 dollars for a stale wrap, with few none of the ingredients it's supposed to have. Today I called and let them know and the girl on the phone said "I'm sorry, but today we have all those ingredients". Well then why don't you add them on?! Today, I decided to drive to Dana Park location instead and guess what?! It's made exactly how it should be. Do NOT order food from their website if you are planning to pick up your own food. The orders are processed through Grubhub and they charge a substantial up charge. Of course you don't notice it because you think they are the actual Pita Jungle restaurant prices since this menu is on their actual Pita Jungle Website. I have ordered food so many times on the pita jungle website and never noticed this until tonight. This is such a scam. They know it's a scam because the receipt says "0.00" where the prices should be. I looked through a menu tonight while picking up the food I ordered and I overpaid (was overcharged) by $12 dollars tonight on two items . The menu in the restaurant has completely different pricing than their own website. So Sketchy!! Some news stations should do a report on this.
