Buffalo Chicken Wrap with Onion Rings

Lucky Lou's a local neighborhood American Grill restaurant with a Vegas theme and good vibes. Definitely a place where locals go. Large variety of food to choose from on the menu, daily specials and happy hour. Prices are reasonable. Indoor, bar and patio seating available. I like the patio seating area with the stringed lights. We stopped in for dinner after driving in from Vegas not knowing that this restaurant has a Vegas theme, thought it was cool. Friendly and attentive staff. It took us a while to decide what to eat cause there's so many choices. On the menu: Pierogi's "Potato and cheese pierogies sautéed with bacon, and onions. Served with a side of sour cream." Clam Chowder Soup (cup) - it was the soup of the day. Fish Fry - 3pc Fish, Fries and Coleslaw Buffalo Chicken Wrap no tomatoes with Onion Rings The food was excellent! The Pierogi's were delicious the bacon and sautéed onions were perfect and the sour cream made it so much more delicious. The Clam Chowder made just how I like it creamy and tasty. The Fish Fry was good lightly battered and not too greasy. The French fries and onion rings were good. The Buffalo Chicken Wrap without tomatoes was the bomb.com! The right amount of buffalo sauce and the breaded chicken portions was perfect. I am actually craving it right now as I'm writing this review. Haha. Overall a great dining experience here at Lucky Lou's glad we got a chance to try it out.

Monday Chicken Fried Chicken is so good. Large portions and great prices. Services is amazing here.

Chicken Fried Chicken Mondays. So good large portions and great service. Hate to say anything cause we want it for our own but that's not fair.

First time at Lucky Lou"s in Mesa. Had a casual weekday dinner with friends. This is described as a Vegas themed American Sports Bar. The place looked a bit aged as I was sitting in the parking lot. Saw an old guy carrying a take out order. Looked like the Professor in Back to the Future. He looked pretty casual, must have forgot his dentures. He had trouble opening the door to the car, set off the alarm but finally got in. As I entered the restaurant, did a quick walk around and noticed the place was busy. My initial reaction after walking around was to leave. Place looked old, smelled like a grungy bar with lots of old people from a movie set. I then recall, I too was also an old person, and the hostess asked if I was dining in so I said party of three. I took my seat at a large overstuffed worn booth. Menu had a large selection of sandwiches, burgers, salads and entrees. I had a ribeye steak with two sides. Steak was good, fries were tasty. Coleslaw was ok. Prices very reasonable. Service was good. Place is popular. They have other locations in Chandler and Queen Creek. Don't think I will be back, unless in the area and want to step back into Old Vegas.

    Wow...

We stopped in here for a beer and a snack. We ended up sitting at the bar as the place was packed. We ordered a Church Music and a Wow. Local favorites of ours. We also ordered the chicken tender basket. The tenders were lightly breaded and the chicken was nice and juicy. Not a fan of the coated type of fries. A fun place. The patio does allow smoking so we're happy to be inside.

    Awesome salads!

Get ready to cheer at Lucky Lou's American Grill on Power & McKellips in East Mesa, AZ--the East Valley's ultimate sports bar knockout! This lively hangout is a slam dunk for my brother and me (frat alumni know a good time!), serving up a menu that's a total touchdown. Their Philly cheesesteaks are oozing with melty goodness, the burgers are juicy perfection, and the grilled items? Charbroiled to crave-worthy glory. The chicken wings are a game-changer--crispy, saucy, and unbeatable--while their salads keep it fresh for those balancing the epic beer selection (and trust us, the brews are ice-cold and endless!). Shanna, our favorite server, brings the energy with a smile that lights up the place, and Ricky in the kitchen? He's the MVP, whipping up dishes that hit every time. The vibe is pure sports bar magic--TVs blaring, fans roaring, and a casual, friendly atmosphere that's better than Cheers (eat your heart out!). We've made awesome friends here who make every visit feel like home. Lucky Lou's is an East Valley gem you need to hit up--grab a seat, order big, and you'll be back for more!

    Happy hour!

The way I was treated at this place was embarrassing on their behalf. I live for this place because i'm a celiac and they have a whole place separate for us. I've never had a bad experience with cross contamination until today. I had told her when I ordered that I had a allergy and she brushed it off. I figured they get celiacs in here all the time so I didn't worry. Our food came out completely wrong and my friends had the gluten free wings and fries. The fries didn't even have a pick that said gluten free, that was my first weird thought . I waited for her to come back over to explain the situation, she passed us and went to all 3 of her different tables. We watched her proceed to chit chat and make small talk with all these tables. I ask another server to go with pink and blonde hair to go grab my server or a manager. I watched her go talk to my server to be ignored for another five minutes. When I mean she walked right past as I was staring at her to go talk to the other servers at the bar, I was livid. I work at another restaurant, i'm younger but I give great service. My biggest thing is allergies, I always ask. It's crazy to me how I can be so obligated to making sure others don't get sick but a restaurant that specializes in allergies can't. I then asked another server to grab me a manager, our server was sitting at the table right next to us talking to a regular it looked like. Won't even comment on this grown women acting younger than me. This manager comes out first off all looking like he just came from off the line and they didn't even have a dinning manager and comes at us saying " well where's the picks that where in the food? " I told him about the one in the wings and not in the fries, also the wings were switched with flavors. He grabbed the wings away without even taking the fries or my friend's wings with the wrong sauce. He walked away. 15 minutes later another server brings my wings out. Everyone is done eating at this point, I ate a couple and wanted a togo box. My server didn't check on me once during this, nether did a manger. We asked the host for a check and some boxes and she had our server finally come over to us. I went home sick and throwing up because of cross contamination with the fries. If you had tattoos all over your arms, with braids working around 4 on Wednesday, shame on you. Honestly you should be embarrassed how you looked and treated another server girl. I've already contacted the upper management to handle this situation because i'm appalled. The negligence needs to be addressed, because shame on the establishment. I won't be coming back to this hub, the one on baseline and sossaman is amazing. I've never had any issues there, the staff even brought me a little gluten free side on the house. When you realize why you didn't get tipped, that's why. The disrespect was higher than what I could of even gave you. Do better as an establishment because my manager would never let that crap slide.

Immediately upon entering, we were greeted and advised to find a seat where we'd like. Their layout is typical of a sports bar with the usual decor, but loved having both high and low top seats as some only have high top/bar seating. Our server Nicole was super friendly and offered suggestions as it was my boyfriend's first time to a Mr Brews. I had been to another location in Mesa, so we decided to stop at this one to satisfy our burger craving as I liked their ranch dressing previously. What We Ordered: ~ Beef Sliders: My boyfriend remarked the meat was pretty bland, and lacked seasoning. Still enjoyable, but nothing standout flavor wise. ~ Build Your Own Burger (lettuce, tomato, cheddar cheese, fried egg +$2, and red pepper aioli +$.99 on the side): The aioli was a miss entirely, and I'm so glad our server suggested getting on the side. Besides that, I really enjoyed my burger and fries. Great they offer a way to create your own, because when dining out, there isn't always one that includes everything you'd want. ~ Moose Drool Brown Ale: My boyfriend really enjoyed, but not a fan personally. I prefer either a Stout/Porter or a Sour. ~ Coke: A classic with a burger! Overall, a fairly solid burger though nothing truly spectacular. A great choice if local, and I will say the chain of restaurants makes amazing cheese curds. We almost got this visit, but had smaller appetites.

(Although our server was a friendly gal from Minnesota whom we had no problem with). All six entrees ordered were lukewarm and arrived much later than the table who had arrived much later than us. No matter, as we were having a nice visit. However, when the bill came with 20% gratuity added on, my dad asked to speak to the manager to have it taken off as the service was not worth 20%. The person who came over (whom we later found out was the owner) began aggressively stating that her servers identified him as being a troublemaker and that he's "always asking to be comped or a discount" (not true as this was his third time and hadn't been there in over 6 months). He tried to state there must be a mix up. The person again, aggressively and with loud voice enough to be embarrassing, said she stands behind her staff and it was him. I ended up standing up and next to her and between with my back to her, made a path so my dad could leave. She then said she didn't want us to come back. We (party of 6) left absolutely gobsmacked. Even when he asked the owner to have the staff that said he was a troublemaker to come over and identify him (so she could see that it wasn't him) she again loudly proclaimed she stands behind her staff. Again, totally bizarre. As an owner I can appreciate standing behind your staff, but have enough class and tact to realize they may not be correct and not alienate an elderly couple who have been in the neighborhood almost 30 years. Our family patronizes the grocery, dentist, and other services in the community . This unprofessional, borderline abusive behavior will not be forgotten. Forewarned is fair warned. To reiterate: He was not asking for a discount. He mentioned the food was cold let management know. ; He wanted the automatic 20% tip removed so he could adjust it to what he thought was fair. This is a man who worked in management for 40 years of his career.

The floors are sticky enough to rip the soles off your shoes, the air smells like a mix of old cigarettes, sour mop water, and broken dreams, and the bathrooms are straight out of a horror movie. If you don't catch a staph infection here, consider yourself lucky. The drinks? Absolute garbage. Watered down, overpriced, and served in glasses that look like they haven't seen soap since the Bush administration. The bartenders couldn't care less -- they'd rather ignore you than make a drink worth drinking. The bouncers act like they're auditioning for a WWE villain role, puffing their chests at anyone who blinks the wrong way. And the crowd? Imagine every bad Tinder date you've ever had stuffed into one room with a soundtrack of off-key karaoke and a sound system that makes your ears beg for mercy. If you like fights breaking out over spilled beer and listening to drunk strangers scream into your face, congratulations -- you've found your paradise. Save yourself the misery. There are porta-potties at construction sites in Mesa that are more inviting than this dump. Roosters Country should come with a warning label: Enter at your own risk, and don't expect to leave with your dignity -- or your shoes.
