I had the best experience training at this gym while I was in Dallas and am sad to have left it behind for the time being. Whether it was in the weight room or field work/HIIT, I always left the gym feeling both pumped and utterly beat, lol. The trainers were extremely friendly, positive and motivating...maybe even annoyingly so at times because you wanted to hate them for the workout but couldn't because they were just such freaking nice people. I found that afternoons were far less crowded than evenings, so that's when I went. Great atmosphere, challenging workouts, and all-in-all a great gym. I would definitely return! One thing that would make this gym even better is having an open gym period perhaps during non-busy afternoon hours so you could get in some extra work before/after a class either on the field or in the weight room. read more

I started at D1 because I was new to the area & found a Groupon. I was really just testing out gyms in the area to see what was best for me, but I found D1 had EVERYTHING I wanted in a gym. I've now become a regular member. The coaches are helpful, exercises are diverse, and they help to push you without that overly intimidating feeling. Been going here for months now. Great instructors and workouts! If you're looking for a little more cardio incorporated exercises do the Boot camp class! Positivity and energy everywhere!! The coaches, staff, and other members are so kind and nice. The sense of community is real and everyone seems to genuinely be interested in getting themselves better. No intimidating Gym Rats that would otherwise make a novice feel uncomfortable. Strength classes cycle through an 8-week program with one week being Testing (maxing out on squats/bench/deadlift/etc). Its totally optional and everyone will cheer you on regardless if you lift 5lbs or 500lbs. What I like most is that the programs are different every day and seem to actually have some intentional design. I can set my own difficulty with weight so if I feel off one day, then its no big deal! 10/10 recommend! read more

When you walk inside the D1 sports arena your mouth drops. This place is cool. Giant indoor football field, weight training room, suspension trainers and more. State of the art. Yesterday we just had my son's 7th birthday party at D1 Sports. This was the first birthday party this particular location has ever done and I was nervous how it would turn out. I had high hopes and everything turned out awesome!! The two coaches, Roger and Scott, kept our group of 25 seven-year-olds organized and having a blast. They led the boys in a lot of fun games and activities: swinging on ropes, agility ladders, sleds, tackle drills, tug of war, soccer and more. The kids had so much fun! read more

This is absolutely one of the best sports facilities I have been to and the staff here is phenomenal. Wes, Coach Z, and Max are great coaches with intense workouts that will ensure results. Boot camp is typically no weights, generally a med ball and kettle ball, but workouts that will kick your butt. Strength is weight based and can also kick your butt. FYI all workouts are at your own pace and if you feel like your doing a workout wrong or doing it for the first time and are unsure if your doing it right, the staff is helpful and will show you the proper way to do an exercise. There is music playing throughout the training facility , either pop or hip hop, typically up to date music. There are locker rooms , towel service, and showers. I tried the Groupon for one month unlimited access, which means I could do as many workouts that I possibly could. Definitely worth checking out and giving it a try to build that physique you always wanted! read more

I've been a member at D1 Dallas for close to 3 years. I'm 57 and quite possibly in the best shape of my life. I've always been fit, but this is different. D1 isn't a traditional gym, it's literally a training facility. Strength and cardio are important aspects of fitness, but they're fairly easy to accomplish on your own. The difference for me is that the coached, group workouts I do at D1 daily, test my agility, balance, speed, explosiveness, power, endurance and recovery. Add the competition of working along side a bunch of fit people half my age, it's the fountain of youth. Oh, and the people are really nice and coaches are great. You should join. read more

Coach King led the boys through a series of drills and scrimmages making each one feel like they were pro's in the making. The facility is top-notch--the best kept training and event space in Dallas. Very nice facility. I've started going for the boot camp in between my weight lifting days. I tried the strength class, but really thought it was setting me up for injury (no emphasis on form) and too intensive of a cardio warmup before heavy lifting. The boot camp gives me good cardio and there are some really attractive girls in the class. I wish some of the bootcamp classes were a little less complex. It's 6 am and I don't really feel like having to remember a long sequence of exercises that don't necessarily relate to each other. Just tell me to run. read more
