Communications were handled via email and everything went as smooth as it could. Bernadette and Jeff are some of the friendliest people that I've met in this community and I will certainly be doing business with them again in the future. One thing to note - some FFL's will start the waiting period at the time of sale as described by the Illinois State Police as it relates to gun sales and transfers. Some FFL's will start the waiting period as soon as you fill out the Form 4473. It's neither here nor there as to who is doing this correctly but at the end of the day, your FFL policies is what you end up following. North American Firearms starts the clock upon filling out the 4473 so just keep this in mind. Best bet is to make the online purchase, head over to fill out the 4473, and by the time your firearm is received by them your background check should be clear and you're good to go.

Park in back in the north lot opposite Central as that's their own lot. Walk around to the front door on Central and ring their doorbell. The paperwork was quick and easy, and she clearly pointed out everything I had to fill out. Background check only took a few seconds. I was in and out with my package in 10 minutes. $30 per transfer and your 7th one is free. As for the training, etc. I cannot comment. If/when I take any classes, I will update.

There is a hunt, fish , camp and shoot areas. In the center of the store is a display with several large , museum like wildlife displays that are very lifelike. The Santa's Wonderland is a wonderful rustic setting and photos are free and come with a complimentary fish shaped cookie cutter !!

Great range, very good safety policy, and the range officers are very helpful. Could be for deer season, or rebuilding the range, all needed, but there is no way to find out until you pull in the driveway. Once they had a sign up saying they were going to open an hour late. There were over twenty people waiting, and we were some of the last to leave, two an a half hours later. They have no website or working telephone. They explained that the phone is for calling out in an emergency. There isn't any way to contact them. The last time I was there, the gates open at11:30 and shooting starts at 12:00 and goes to 4:00 PM. Between 11:30 and 12:00, the range master explains the safety rules. The charge was $10.00 for the day and teens under eighteen were free with a FOID card holder supervision. The only drawback was the lack of communication!
