There were over twenty people waiting, and we were some of the last to leave, two an a half hours later. They have no website or working telephone. They explained that the phone is for calling out in an emergency. There isn't any way to contact them. The last time I was there, the gates open at11:30 and shooting starts at 12:00 and goes to 4:00 PM. Between 11:30 and 12:00, the range master explains the safety rules. The charge was $10.00 for the day and teens under eighteen were free with a FOID card holder supervision. The only drawback was the lack of communication!

Found one who was an "attorney" (that's what I was told). Made the date for the class, we agreed that I would take the Metra out to his location and he would pick me. Got on the train in the city and went out to his Metra stop. He was a no-show - got stood up. SOOOO, having finally learning my lesson, I looked on Yelp for a reputable 5-star rating CCL instructor. Great selection of "whatever items" you need from their shop in the back, and a gunsmith who has about a week turnaround for your special gun specific needs. I have been ordering my items online and having them shipped to Red Dot for a number of times, and each time they have been all very court and friendly. Paperwork is filled out, and approval comes back, and since I ordered it online, and purchased it then, by the time it ships (takes about three days if not more to send via UPS) I don't have to wait an additional 3 days. I pick it up that day and leave with it. Highly Recommend this shop.

Totally agree with Kenny. This place is so friendly and the people that work there are eager to…read morehelp. They have a guy there that also is NRA and conceal and carry licensed that gives lessons. You can shoot pistols or shotguns (separate area) and on the other side they have skeet shooting. The range is outdoors so dress warm for the winter. I think they are only open on Saturday and Sunday until April, but double check. It is a totally safety conscience range and they have time limits when the range is hot (everyone firing) green light, or red light, everyone guns down and step away while targets are being changed out. They sell targets if you forget yours and also chamber locks that you put in during the red light target change time. Love this place and they are all about the Second Amendment!
