My 95 year old aunt called this company Thursday because her toilet wasn't flushing and she has been a loyal customer for years. The tech arrive (Supervisor Wayne) who informed her that it's the flapper and handle for upstairs toilet and the downstairs toilet needed a flapper also because of it constantly running. Auntie gave the ok to complete the work and the cost was $325.00 for one handle and two flapper that even on the high end costed $15.00 each...so three times $15.00 = $45.00 for the parts then labor which resulted in the price being $325.00. Absolutely unacceptable total cost for the service provided! This explains why they refused to be better business bureau (bbb) accredited because they have no interest in being reasonable and honest in their pricing to customers! Update to above review... my brother call Ed this company Friday and asked how much it would cost to have an handle and flapper replacement for the toilet. The female staff stated there is no pricing over the phone an appointment would be necessary. He asked to speak to the owner which she replied wasn't available. He then informed her of the cost which my aunt was charged and the service and he wanted to discuss it with owner because he felt that she had been overpriced and taken advantage of! The lady responded with a raised tone..." if they charged her $325.00 then that's the price" and Hung Up the phone!!! Once again this company is showing how they handle business...first by taking advantage and overpricing...second by lack of communication and problem solving...third by outright disrespect of hanging up the call! AVOID THE SCAM! I recently had an unsettling encounter with Da Best Plumbing (License Number: 8112679) located at 38233 Little Mack, Clinton Twp, MI 48306, and I felt compelled to share my experience about this company. My ordeal revealed what appears to be a disturbing instance of deceptive practices aimed at convincing customers to undergo unnecessary and exorbitantly priced repairs when they are already in dire circumstances. On July 20, 2023, I reached out to Da Best Plumbing to address a partial sewer backup issue at my rental property in Oakland County. Their technician arrived late in the afternoon and informed me that he was unable to use the auger to clear the sewer main line beyond 60-70 feet from the clean-out port. He claimed that the blockage extended under the detached garage and recommended employing a sewer camera to ascertain the cause of the clog, with a total charge of $300 for the initial visit and the follow-up sewer camera inspection. The following day, the technician reported that he could only feed the sewer camera 7-8 feet inside the clean-out port, and all he could see was black water. At this point, he asserted that the sewer main line was damaged beneath the detached garage and insisted that a full sewer line replacement was the only viable solution. When I requested photographic or video evidence from the sewer camera, he declined to provide any such proof, reiterating his stance that the line was indeed damaged. Several days later, I received a jaw-dropping repair estimate of $22,000.00. The inconsistencies in the statements regarding the sewer issue and the technician's reluctance to provide any form of evidence raised suspicions in my mind. In response, I decided to schedule an appointment with another reputable licensed plumbing company. To my relief, the technician from the other company cleared the blockage within roughly 30 minutes without encountering any issues. The inspection revealed that the blockage was caused by tampons and some tree roots, and the sewer line was not damaged. As of today after three months, the sewer system is functioning flawlessly, and I have not received any further complaints from the tenant. I've used this company several times so I scheduled an appointment for Wednesday 5/19/22 and the plumber didn't show because there was an error on their part but they scheduled for the following day Thursday 5/20/22. The Plumber showed and called me with an estimate and I approved the work to be completed at the house (rental) property. I informed the scheduler that I would be out of town before hand. Moving forward, after the work was completed, I was called by the plumber and supervisor several times while in a meeting, therefore my phone was on silent. The so called supervisor left me a voice message stating that the work had been completed and I was called several times and no one answered so he was going to call the police and have a bench warrant put out for my arrest and turn the gas off and pull the gas meter from the home. I called back and talked to the supervisor that left the message and informed him that I was in a meeting and I would have called him back anyway and that I didn't appreciate the threats he left and he replied " It got you to call me back didn't it". I reminded him that I was out of town and my phone's ringer was temporarily off and that he was unprofessional for leaving the message he left then he stated that it was unprofessional for me not answering my phone. Moving forward I payed them via phone like I had several times before. I called back a second time to speak to his boss because of the voice mail that he had left and why and since he threatened to call the police I informed him that I was the police then he replied that his brother in law was a police officer. What does that have to do with my property and me. If he ever thought to seriously take the gas meter or shut the gas off the plumber would be sought after for larceny from a building (dte property) and illegally shutting off the gas without cause or permission from dte. We had called in a panic this morning as we needed a water heater installed asap! We had been told absolutely they could help us and would be here within the hour, and they would call us. We were waiting for a call, and it was about an hour, and they were in the driveway! They came in and introduced themselves. They were very professional and polite. They went to the basement and gave us the free estimate. We accepted the quote. Then, they were off to get the parts. They were back literally in about 20 minutes or so, and they were started. The whole process was completed, and the old water heater was taken out and disposed of. They took it with them. They took us downstairs to show us and explain the water heater. We did get a return customer discount also. I would definitely recommend this company. They are honest and quick. I had called another company, and they couldn't even get to me until Friday! I so wish I could give a good review...these are my neighbors, I drive by the house/business all the time and the house is well taken care of....this was the second plumber that I called because I felt the first was overpriced. He wanted to see the photos that were sent to me from the first plumber and he says he will go $35 less or $600. Well, I was told by the first plumber (also a crook) that I needed two silcocks (same pipe outside) and that the pipe leading to both silcocks needed to be replaced (this was a lie and only the one silcock needed to be replaced)...but this plumber saw an opportunity to make a few bucks off of an old lady and he went with it...took him twenty minutes to go to Home Depot and spend $50 on two silcocks and then not even twenty minutes to install them...couldn't even be bothered to replace the insulation and tape it up...I took a look under there and couldn't believe what a simple job it turned out to be...absolutely ridiculous! I even told him that I know many people locally and I could never recommend him to my friends...he shrugged his shoulders as if he didn't care...but I do! I have no problem paying people for honest work...but this...shouldn't cost nearly a month's lot rent for two outdoor spigots...don't you agree? read more

I called one day because of a leaky faucet and Jeremy came out the next day, gave me an estimate to replace the kitchen faucet and also the laundry room faucet. As a realtor, I always use DeBest Plumbing to do all my sewer scopes as part of the home inspection process. I use Wayne with DeBest plumbing to take the video camera and inspect the sewer lines going from the the basement out front to the sewer main. If this is section of sewer line pipe is bad, it can cost you up to $15K to replace. I only use a licensed plumber to check that even though many home inspectors offer that for a additional charge as part of their service, they can't tell you how to repair it, what is involved exactly and how much exactly it is if they are not a LICENSED PLUMBER!!! My clients pay around $200 for this service and it has saved them thousands!! We were able to renegotiate the price and have the sellers pay to repair the line when it needed replacing. It's all good to know when your plumbing lines are good and do not need replacing and they tell you how to keep them in good shape. This is priceless information for first time home buyers. read more

Customer service when you call to set up an appointment is terrible. I used them before but this time I am very disappointed. I was treated rudely and the gentleman(used loosely) was very condescending and actually hung up on me while I was talking. I promptly called him back and cancelled my so called appointment. Can't get a definite time your just suppose to take his word that someone will be out. I do not recommend this company. The work performed got the job done, but it was the billing situation that caused the poor review. I gave them my credit card number over the phone and had them mail the invoice. When I looked at my bank records, they billed me twice. I called to inform them (on a Thursday) and a gentleman said the charge would be reversed. The following Monday I still hadn't seen any reversal, so I followed up with them. The same gentleman then said the owner had been out of town, was returning that day and it was on the top of his paperwork. I knew just coming off vacation, it wouldn't get done that same day so I gave it another week. Still nothing! Not even a call to say "we've received it and are working on it". At that point, I filed a report with MY bank who had to go after the reimbursement for me. Through all of this, I've heard nothing from this company. So, as a last resort, I would say use them. Called these guys last year when water started coming out of my shower drain and toilet. The guys were out about an hour after I called them. Got the line snaked and then because something just didn't seam right, came back a few days later with a camera to snake through the line to see what was really going on. Found a bigger problem with my main waste line sinking and getting built up with grease. They got me on a treatment plan to get rid of the grease to take care of the issue for the time being. The guys that came to our house were great and were very courteous and professional and cleaned up after themselves. Would highly recommend them!! read more

Called "Dispatch" and they sent out a plumber that brought along his son and nephew. They snaked the main drain and got the water to go down. However, someone bumped my kids expensive game controller in the water picked it up and sat it back on the table without saying anything. They also broke the cement cap one the main drain and didn't tell me, and they NEVER CAME BACK TO REPLACE IT!!!! After several calls. Terrible read more

I was highly disappointed. My family and I had used these guys before and they we thought they were reasonable. When this guy pulled up, I noticed the company truck/van that I had not seen before. It practically looked new. From this, I knew I was in for it. Unfortunately, I had to get the work done and because time was running out.
