I made reservations for Farm Bluffton with an outside table last year. who knew it was hot in July?…read moreMy sister in laws face was melting at the outside table so I had to adjust fire. 2026, I made a reservation inside with our own private table. The restaurant is very charming, it's giving off White Barn Inn Kennebunkport vibes. Once you're seated, you'll see why this is a popular Low Country restaurant. We're all given menus and what I noticed was a game changer. Farm is offering a three course tasting menu but the entire table has to participate. My wife was feeling under the weather so I grabbed the waiter to the side and said, we're all in with the tasting menu except my wife. Can you make an exception? Not a problem sir! The three course menu does not include the popular Farm corn bread. I placed an order before our tasting started. You're probably saying, what's so special about corn bread? Man... If lovin' you is wrong, I don't wanna be right. The corn bread was cooked in a skillet pan, the end result was a buttery, sweet treat. The sharable starters came to the table. Roasted May River Oysters, Beef Carpaccio and Burrata with shaved ham. The Roasted May River Oysters were my favorite bite of all these selections. The oysters were large and plumpy and the chef did not overcook the shell fish. Next, the waiter dropped off a huge bowl of Shrimp Rice along with a Heritage Pork Chop. This is what elevated southern cooking is all about, the pork chop was moist and had a wonderful taste. Another highly recommended dish. Dessert, I was starting to get really full but the Blueberry Olive Oil cake did not disappoint. There was a Toll House Hand Made Pie, also very good but I really full at this point of the meal. First time dining at Farm, it was a pleasure to dine here and I can't wait to return.

Let me start out by saying Yelp reviews are what led me to Farm. I was in town for the afternoon…read moreto check out Bluffton. What a quaint and charming town! Before leaving town, we decided to have dinner, and that is where Farm comes in. We decided to go with the recommendation of the staff up front and the waiter, choosing the Anthology menu for dinner. That selection was impossible to be disappointed with. The food is sourced locally, the taste is exceptional, and the service (shout-out to Justin) is outstanding. We just planned a return visit to Bluffton for May. This is what a low-country dining experience should be.

I had high hopes for this from what I've been told by others. Total disappointment…read more First, the service was awful. We got there 15 minutes after they opened and the only ones seated at the bar. You would think they would be on top of things that early in the evening. Nope, my wife had to wait 18 minutes to get her wine (which we bought the whole bottle). Second, they haven't changed their fryer oil in FOREVER!!!! Yes, I know what I'm talking about. As it being an open kitchen and you can see everything. We witnessed them take oil they just cooked in a pan and dump it in the fryer with the other oil. Are ya kidding me??? All the fried food came out dark as all get out it's been that long since they changed it or even filtered it. Third, some of the cook wore gloves and others didn't. No big deal normally. I watched one cook reach in the garbage and then proceeded to start preparing food!!!! No fing way!!!! Four, the Egg Roll was bland, the inside ingredients was garbage. Over cooked and tough. My wife's filet was under seasoned (well no seasoning at all), a cheap cut of meat and dry!!! The béarnaise sauce tasted and looked like it came out of a jar. It was the worst I've ever tasted. She asked for no vegetables and the risotto instead. She did get the risotto. I'll admit, that wasn't so bad. The bread that was under the filet was ICE cold. Not even sure why they served it or put it on the plate. Fifth, this is a one and done for us. There are soooooo many better options in the area with a better menu, price and service. To say disappointing is an understatement. Oh ya, almost forgot. We had to get a Togo bag and it reminded me of the bags you use to pick up your dogs poop. I'm not even joking.

Sunset Grille is truly a second story restaurant located on the water and off the beaten path( located in an RV park ) Our table was next to the windows where we could appreciate the fantastic view of the wildlife and also some amazing boats. The crowd in the room was mature , no children, and at best was 24 people - Sunset Grille is truly and intimate place For appetizers we shared the baked feta Hot baked feta w/herbs, grape tomatoes & olive oil. Served with toast points and water crackers this was a tasty bite. The second appetizer was a cup of mussel bisque! I've had plenty of bisque thru the years but never mussels.. DELICIOUS! Creamy, salty, potatoes, plenty of mussels and a nice hit of sherry the bisque was so good my wife stated if we lived close i"d take a bucket of this home! Entrees, my wife has the Seafood Cakes - Two delicious cakes filled w/ shrimp, crab & today's fresh catch w/ Lemon caper cream sauce, rice & vegetables. The cakes were a huge portion with quality ingredients. I had the Crispy Pork Belly, FANTASTIC! Crispy pork belly sweet potato hash w/ house made sausage, poblanos, onions & Sirache honey. I've had pork belly but never a portion as large as this - Two pieces , excellent quality, taste and Accoutrements . The pork belly won't leave you hungry and yes I ate the FULL PORTION. Our final, one delicious slice of carrot cake ! Baked on site , , incredibly moist, and possibly the best carrot cake we"ve had The Lockman"s and their friendly and capable staff made our dinner feel special
