Really disappointed by our recent experience. Customer service makes all the difference, and unfortunately, Rossini's fell short. We had valid coupons with no expiration date but were met with unnecessary pushback when trying to use them. Pleasantly surprised by Rossini's. We ordered the Sudbury special. The pizza had the right amount of ingredients per slice. Sometimes I get nervous ordering pizza with arugula because some places dump a whole bucket of arugula on the pizza but not Rossini's. I appreciate the variety of ingredients on the pizza so you aren't just chewing on arugula. Rossini's adds just enough so the peppery taste of arugula evenly blends in with the salts of the prosciutto and olives. Pizza is delicious even on the 3rd day for leftovers. Had the ham and cheese calzone, partner had the Reuben sandwich. noticing the sandwich had no side, I ordered a side of fries. ($5) Thirty three dollars for all. is this right? would we have the best calzone and Reuben? The calzone was not the worst, but not the best. I am not an officanado on calzones. but it was good. Reuben was tasty, fantastic and carefully put together. The fries were a bit pricey, but looking as to where I was picking up my food. We decided to order from Rossini's for the first time in quite a while. I had a Sicilian pizza with meatballs and mushrooms, which had too much oregano for me, and the crust is not as thick as I remember. My mom had a steak and cheese sub with mushrooms added. The tomato & mozzarella salad just looked like a Greek salad. The chocolate soufflé is basically a lava cake, and it was still warm which was nice. I have to say, though, that delivery took forever - I was literally about to call the restaurant to check on the order when the doorbell finally rang. I would leave no stars if that was an option. Paid $11.50 for approximately 1 Oz. of breaded Schroder which tasted like pollock. The rest of the large sub roll was filled with shredded lettuce. When I called the restaurant to voice a Complaint I was told that they measured the fish. In my opinion they should either increase the portion to a normal size piece of fish reduce the size of the roll or reduce the price. I gave this restaurant a second chance after the last delivery in which the chicken parmesan sub tasted like a frozen, breaded Purdue patty. The name of the restaurant implies you are getting Italian food of fresh quality, but it is very poor quality for the price. This was definitely my last visit. Buyer beware.... read more

Whenever we are in the mood for good (and plenty) Italian food we always head to Rossini's. I don't recall how I found out about the place, but every time we walk in we are warmly welcomed by the staff. We've tried most things on the menu that are vegetarian, and there are quite a lot of options. I really enjoy the Calzone (the dough is perfect) and the Stuffed Shells when I don't want to be overly full. The small Cheese Pizza is great for the kids (since that's all kids seem to eat these days). The only thing I would change is to make the beer selection a bit more robust. On the plus side-the food is very good and reasonably priced, good options for kids, and the ambiance is nice inside the restaurant. They also have nice outdoor seating. I have always had solid experience dining in. The challenge is their takeout operations. We've gotten takeout a number of times, and it is rare that they get the order completely right-often a dish is missing or incorrect. They haven't figured out how to communicate proper wait times-with waits often extending 15-20 minutes longer than what is on the phone. And they don't give numbers, just take names, so if it is crowded it can be really chaotic to get your order. If they can make some basic changes to improve take out, this would be a 5-star rating. read more

I'm surprised at the amount of older not-so-friendly reviews. We have been ordering from Rossinis for the past few months and every delivery has been delicious, on time, and correct. We also love the online ordering as well. The pizza is tasty - Italian thin crust and the calzones are good too. Can't say much about the staff but the delivery driver is really nice. We've also had pasta and lasagna and it's pretty good too. Chicken fingers come with a nice honey mustard dipping sauce. My husband has declared we are never ordering from anywhere else again. Overall, very good - a little pricey but ingredients seem fresh so ... ... Congrats Rossini's - you are now my Friday night food date from now on. Congrats. read more

The pizza and food in general is not bad. The reason for the two stars has more to do with what I believe is deceptive billing. Their bill includes gratuity, but not once have the waiters mentioned that. As a result, the last time we were there we realized that every time before that we had been double-tipping. For a party of three or four including gratuity is not standard practice. I have nothing against doing that, but the waiter should have made it clear. read more

Rossini's is probably one of my favorite lunch places. Great salads, great sandwiches, great pizza and calzones. The pasta dishes are a bit pricy for lunch, but are quite delicious. My recommendations: Healthy: the Greek salad with grilled chicken and no dressing. Okay, seriously? I really hate Italian food. At least, that's what I tell everyone, because by and large I find it to be crappy and bland. Even authentic Italian food (which I'm completely unqualified to identify, so I'm taking other people's words on this) is usually bland--not enough salt, no flavour, just ugh. But I had this craving for alfredo, which can always be fixed with gratuitous amounts of salt, and we checked out Rossini's. Well golly gee was it swell! No idea how authentic it was, but even the mozzarella sticks were the best I ever had. They used fresh mozzarella in the calzone, the pepperoni was very high quality, the stuffed shells were well-seasoned, and the sauce distinct and flavourful. Sadly, no alfredo, but I was more than happy with what we got, which was fresh and really delightful. They have an excellent selection of wine, and I'm pretty sure they make their own (delicious) tiramisu. Unfortunately the ambiance isn't as good as the food deserves. The place has plenty of seating, but the lighting is a bit bright and it's set up better for takeout than eat in. Still, it's well-decorated and you get the feeling they're just doing the best with what they could find for a place. This is the only reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5. Oh, and for an appetizer, two main dishes, and a shared dessert we spent only $30. I can't even imagine *making* that quality of food at home for that price, so it's a fantastic deal. three stars, average a-ok to a T so we had a coupon for 5 off 25 or something like that and therefore decided to take a whirl. i know, very yelp sheik, coupons. so i picked up 3 calzones for the crew, plus a diet coke. why bring this up? because 3 calzones run 24 bucks and in order to work the coupon you need to spend the 25. silly us. so i picked it up, and glad i did. while there isnt anything inherently wrong with the location or decor, i just got the feel that the only people eating in here were the relatives of the owners. anyway you put it, i just getting that dine in quality. no worries, pick up works well. the buffalo chicken calzone i ordered was not bad, basically chicken fingers inside a cheese calzone. although i did find the cheese coagulated a bit weird inside, overall it was franks buffalo inside a calzone. my mother in law did not enjoy hers as when we ordered we were very specific as to what kind of toppings she wanted and we made the mistake of ordering it as the veggie one but like this when we really just should have asked for the three ingredients she wanted from the get go. a ok overall as i said, nothing drawing me back for now. read more

So... I never had a calzone before, in my thirty or so years of living in Taxachusetts. No, I haven't lived anywhere else since the first day of breathing. As I was flipping thru the menu and waiting for "to die for" fries, it crossed my mind to give it a shot at this joint. I ordered a calzone with meatballs, caramelized onions and mozzarella cheese. The only reason I decided to have my first calzone at this joint is because I love their pizza dough. Obviously, I have no where else to compare this to. It's fully loaded with cheese. Good amount of tasty onions and sliced meatballs. After eating a Kiddie size fries, I was only able to help myself to one-third of the calzone. Calzones are definitely very filling. We have been ordering from Rossini's nearly every week for a few years. I used love their pizza and pasta. Recently, it seems like they've hired a new chef who does things slightly differently (not in a good way). We seem to get the good chef every other time we order. The other chef seems to be more generous with the portions, but the pasta isn't nearly as good. Another thing that bothers me lately is one of their delivery drivers. He always places the food on my planter...my dirty, plant-filled, bug-infested planter. Come on man, just wait 10 seconds for me to sign the slip and then place the food in my clean hands. read more

My coworker loves spicy food, as do I, and on Friday we get takeout for lunch. We tried the local pizza place, but the toppings were your standard ones and not the spicy goodness she was looking for. I noticed Rossini's and on a wonderful trip to UPS I stopped in for a menu. First thing I notice is that it's pricey. Not within the usual price range for lunch, but could be worth it. Then while perusing the menu I saw it. The answer to our dreams puttanesca pizza. Pizza with spicy red sauce, capers, olives, pepperoncini, and onions. It was like the answer to our dreams. That Friday came and we ordered it. A small pizza will put you back about $11, but for us it was the perfect size to split. With smiles on our faces we ate one piece after another. The spice level was perfect, enough to keep you eating it to kill the burn without having it overpower your entire mouth. So we have parted ways with the pizza from the local shop (although we do still get subs from there) and we have moved on to Rossini's to fill our spicy lunch time cravings. read more

It's food. That's about the best I can say. Ordered an Italian, no cheese, and an eggplant parm sub. The eggplant parm was just eggplant, sauce, and cheese. Asked for lettuce tomato and onion on the Italian. I don't know if something was lost in translation or what, but what I got was unacceptable. Day old bread, less meat than subway, diced onions, diced tomatoes, and a ton of drizzled olive oil. That's it. No vinegar, no lettuce, no seasoning. Every Italian sub I've ever ordered comes with all these ingredients standard. The pitiful amount of meat is made so much worse by the large, dry bread that the sandwich is on, cut so deep that the sandwich literally fell apart when I pulled it from the container. There was no prompting when I made the order to ask what I wanted on the sandwich or if I wanted the works or anything. I think the staff can learn a lot by visiting any of their local competitors a few times. Based on the poor reviews recently, it looks like something has changed and this place is falling from grace. Where is your pride? Would you eat an empty, dry sandwich like this? It really feels like this place is trying to pinch pennies. read more
