We're looking for a place to do a milk tea bar/station for a private event and decided to try daboba. The location is very cute inside, but I think they could use a good clean. We walked in and the crew continued their conversation and didn't ask if we had any questions or anything. After we ordered our drink, we asked about catering and the girl working wasn't sure and, to be honest, I don't think the guy working was sure either. We asked if they do full catering by the jug and he said "yea if you want like a massive container we could do that.." then later said, "so you'd have to bring your own massive container for tea........ and smaller containers for toppings........ and I don't think we'll have enough cups so you'd have to bring your own cups, but we'll have the straws." Uhhhhhh what? So you don't do catering?? It sounds like the guy was thinking they'd just make their pitcher and pour it into our own containers. Also! He kept trying to tell us what day we should do our event based on the staff that would be there to make our drinks. As for the actual tea flavor itself, it was just ok, but the cup seemed rather small for the price. Maybe try somewhere else. read more

I love a good Brown Sugar Milk Tea and these make an amazing one. I had the Brown Sugar Pearl Fresh Milk with black tea and it was fantastic. There was no holding back on the brown sugar on this milk tea. It was delicious. They offer a great variety and creative classic Milk Teas. In addition, they offer fruit teas, and yogurt series. Paid by card. Daboba is in the same plaza as Mary's Donuts and GTM and offers a lot of plaza parking. I went here on a Saturday afternoon and there was a line out the door. The line went quickly but it took a while to get the drinks. Average customer service but cute decorations in the place. I ordered the kumquat lemon, 0 sugar, with boba and enjoyed the drink. The cup lids were so cute! I was able to drink the drink with my party of 5 in the back. I would recommend this place and would go back. I've been here a few times now and this will definitely become a regular spot for me! My daughter loves boba, and this place makes delicious boba tea and other drinks. They also have a lot of cool extra toppings you can add which makes this place different from the other boba shops I've been to. So far we've tried the green milk tea with honey boba, and green milk tea with the black boba, Oreo, and creme brûlée toppings. Both were great! The creme brûlée was very sweet! I look forward to trying other drinks on the menu. A note on the ambiance, it's very nice and relaxing. There are some cute mini couches to sit on and some tables with chairs. Not a lot of seating, but when I was there the place was pretty empty so it wasn't a problem. I wonder if it gets crowded there, as it seems like a place to just run in and out. However, I became quite addicted to their roasted Pearl milk tea boba at the Kearny Mesa location after they opened that I need to pace myself. I saw Jay, another Yelp Elite, recommend their Purple Rice Yogurt drink so I had to try it for myself. My husband normally doesn't like boba drinks but said he would even order the Purple Rice Yogurt drink. Score! It was tangy, very thick and had a really nice chew from the rice. I'm shocked! I have not found a single boba spot that is as good as Kung Fu Tea, until now!! I stopped by Daboba Santee location and met up with my friend after work because we were both craving boba. We decided to give this place a try and I'm glad we did. When we entered the store we were immediately greeted by two friendly ladies that were working behind the counter. There was nobody there accept for us so we had time to talk with the cashier. She was super sweet and went over the menu with us, the toppings they offered, and made a few suggestions based on what we told her we liked from Kung Fu Tea. They have a rewards program and after 10 drinks you get 1 free! Our drinks were ready really quickly and the best part was it came in a cup with the most adorable bear lid! I wanted to scream because it was just so cute! After the first sip, I was in love. When combined with the smooth and creamy mouthfeel of milk, winter melon milk tea creates an explosion of taste on your palate, so irresistible that this beverage is practically intoxicating. The boba in all of its smoky, caramelized, and chewy wonderfulness is the perfect addition to the drink making it even better. They have an aesthetically pleasing lounge area that is picturesque.
