Don't let the outside fool you nor the lack of ambience inside. The food is OMG fantastic. We got the High Roller: bone in ribs, slices of the most tender beef strips, real homemade Mac n cheese, bbq beans. Gotta get my veggie in coleslaw. Very Fast service. If they ever decide to add dessert hope it's bread pudding or peach cobbler. The food will knock your socks off.

Food was tasty and the staff were extremely friendly! The chicken & brisket was insanely juicy, and the side dishes were well above regular standards. The place was small but very homey. Gave off the perfect BBQ vibes! Everything was exceptional and will definitely be coming back again soon. Review from August 2025

Honestly one of the best bbq spots around. The meat is perfectly cooked, nice and juicy with loads of flavor. Of the sauces, The God Sauce is so good. Overall, very impressed. It gets packed fast and this option does sell out quick. But the service and ambiance was great. Will definitely come back.

I discovered this restaurant on Yelp and couldn't wait to try it. It's very informal inside. You walk in and go to the counter and order. Next you find a seat. Seating is limited. We stopped by in the afternoon and it was fairly busy. I'm guessing that it's always busy. A lovely lady brought us our food and checked on us several times. Everyone was friendly. The food was delicious. The meat was very tender and tasty. The prices were fair. I recommend going here if you want some great BBQ.

This place is decent. I definitely wouldn't go out of the way for it. The brisket (fatty) was literally fatty. $14 bucks for a 1/2 lb of fat with scraps of meat. The ribs were just ribs...lacking flavor and that weird texture when you can bite a clean bite. No pull and not falling off the bone. The bbq sauce is boring...well the spicy was more flavorful but not spicy hot. Will I go back? Maybe. Will I tell everyone? No! If you do go, take some flavor with you!

Our first time a year ago was really good. Tried numerous items. Today we ordered a full rack of pork ribs to go. Was home and eating in 10 minutes. The meat had an odd slightly mushy texture and tasted a little bland. My friend, who loves the ribs, wouldn't eat them (can you say super picky)! And I can't eat the rest on my own which is disappointing because a paid $35.75 with tax. The lady at the register was super sweet.

After getting into the parking lot, which I found confusing due to construction, I realized the U-turn was worth it. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by staff. When I ask her for recommendations, she provided most popular suggestions and her favorites. Some things that make this place unique are their sandwich varieties, loaded items and their sides. I went with the 2 meats with one side, which included the chopped fatty brisket, smoked chicken and mac & cheese. The chopped fatty brisket was pulled apart and beautifully seasoned to the point. It did not need barbecue sauce. The smoked chicken was moist and well cooked and also well seasoned the mac & cheese was well seasoned, but I found the texture to be way too soft for my taste as for beverages. They offer some local beers and then they have a soda fountain, which is self serve once you get your cup. I also appreciated is that they have all the sauces at the table and paper towels and then on a table to the side that they have lids for the cups silverware and to go boxes so you do not have to to ask for them. The cashier was super friendly and greeted every person who came into the place with the same warmth. I look forward to returning and trying other items. The place is a low key barbecue place that isn't too fussy but the taste elevates it.

The food at Jessie Rae's was amazingly tender. We had a sampler plate which allowed for us to taste a little bit of everything. The service was friendly and welcoming. Lots of locals started drifting into the establishment as the lunch hour passed which livened up the place. I liked everything that was sampled. If you're looking for a friendly local b g spot away from the strip, check out Jessie Rae's.

High roller combo. Brisket, pulled pork, corn and waffle fries

We found this place on request from my cousin who lives in Hawaii to try their food. We decided to order the High Roller combo which includes 2 meats and 2 sides. We chose the brisket and pulled pork with corn and waffle fries for our sides. Didn't have to wait long for our order to be ready. Not many places in Vegas serve brisket. Both the brisket and pulled pork were juicy, flavorful and not too fatty. We opted to get the leaner cut of brisket. The corn was just as tasty and the waffle fries are huge! Ordered 12 piece of ribs to go. The meat was cooked to perfection and fell off the bone. The lady who came around asking us if everything was ok was friendly. She told us that this is a family owned business and how many hours each meat was smoked for. We live in Pahrump but this place is definitely a come back to place.

Some of the best BBQ I have had in a long time. The ribs fell off the bone. The brisket was nice and juicy. The corn was ok next time I would get a different side. The cashier was more than helpful and very nice! It smells like they have been smoking meats for days inside and out! I definitely will be back to try more items! Until next time!

There's a reason I keep coming back, the food, the service and the overall amazing sized portions! I came by a few days ago and it was after 7, my bad timing. So when I went to go see my friend today, I told him we have to go have BBQ. I got the house of meat sandwich with slaw and it was so big, I had to eat it with a fork! It has hot links, pork and brisket. Truly, I should have saved half but oops, I ate it all! We did show up around 640 and they were nice enough to let us stay till 710, while they cleaned up.

Have you heard of Jessie Rae's & never been? Well that was me until today. I had the 2 meats & 1 side for $19.99. I chose the fatty brisket & spare ribs with a side of Mac & Cheese. They came out still hot & very tender & really juicy. I tried all of the sauces on the table & all were good. I came home full & still smelling like BBQ. Plenty of parking & plenty of seating inside - come & get some good BBQ. I'll definitely be back to try more.

The sausage was a jalapeño cheddar sausage. For my side, I had mac & cheese and coleslaw. To start off, this is a great place. If I could give it 4 1/2 stars I would but I like to round up. Brisket is really good but a little dry in the mouth. Great Smoky flavor. The mouth-feel was just a little off. It was a little dry, but not bad. The pulled pork was wonderful. Nice Smoky flavor. Nice and tender and juicy. Felt great to chew in my mouth and did not feel dry. A+ for the Pork. The jalapeño cheddar sausage was amazing. Really well done. Flavor was great texture was great. Just a little kick, which was great. I always wish there was more kick, but I understand you got a cater to your customers. One thing I was kind of concerned about was the temperature of the coleslaw. It should be really cold, but it was just kind of a little bit of above lukewarm, but not really cold. Coleslaw should be cold. The mac & cheese was pretty good. Needs a little bit more liquid in it but the flavor was awesome. And it looks like they prepackage the Mac 'n cheese in containers and then sprinkle some cheese on top. That's a nice touch, but it makes the whole container of mac & cheese dry out. They only have one barbecue sauce. It was pretty good. But to me the best way to judge barbecue is if it doesn't eat barbecue sauce. And this did not need barbecue sauce. It was just a nice addition. Great ambience. Great music playing. Very clean and well kept area. I would definitely come back when I'm on this side of town.

It reminded me of a real Texas barbecue with the big picnic tables and communal seating. Very friendly and helpful staff. I had the 3 meat (chicken, baby backs, and jalapeno hot links) and the wife had the 1 meat (brisket) We shared some sides Mac n cheese, green beans, and fries. The chicken was very juicy and perfectly cooked. We both agree that the baby backs were some of the best we've ever had. The jalapeno/cheese links were delicious. The brisket was good. Still moist and juicy. They ask you if you want a lean or fatty cut on the brisket. She chose lean (I would have chosen fatty ) Their regular barbecue sauce made everything better. The green beans were delicious and perfectly seasoned. The baked beans were a tiny bit sweet. The fries were perfect. The mac and cheese had good flavor but the pasta was overcooked. Oh, I decided to try the banana pudding. GET IT! It's f*cking delicious! We will definitely be back!

This place has a legit small-town feel and serves some excellent barbecue. We ordered the Burger special, sliders (one pork and one brisket), and The Brisket sandwich. The sliders were huge for sliders and served on big toasted buns and piled high with coleslaw, onions, pickles, and pepperoncinis. Both meats were flavorful and tender. The brisket sandwich was outstanding: certified Angus beef cooked low and slow, seasoned with their Texas-style rub, sliced thick, and stacked high on grilled Texas toast. Very satisfying. For drinks, we had a couple Hazy Fox IPAs and two Huckleberry Lemonades that were on special for $5, which were a fun and refreshing choice. The sides were just as impressive. My family ordered the 50/50 bowl with half mac & cheese and half cowboy beans which was outstanding. The cowboy beans were especially packed with flavor. The skinny on this place is that Henderson actually has been getting some interesting food…read more Hog & Tradition launched last year in a repurposed SkinnyFATS space (also negating the Blaze of Thunder drive-thru cooncept), proudly proclaiming the arrival of Dominican-influenced BBQ. It appears that they've streamlined the concept a little, paring the sandwich menu from 9 down to 4 and the sides from 10 to just 6. Fortunately, there are still 5 proteins, and my friend and I tried all of them when we each ordered a Combo Plate 3 ($28.00), which comes with 3 meats and 2 sides. Smoked Brisket (+$2.00 for selecting this protein): seemingly cut from the flat end of the brisket, but with a healthy layer of fat on one side. Fell apart a little too easily, thus not meeting the technical requirements of brisket. Tasted pretty good overall aside from the smoke being mild, and went well with all the sauces and the chimichurri too. Pork Belly Chicharron: perhaps the actual intended recipient of the chimichurri. Crispy on the outside, melty on the inside. Goes well with any of the sauces. My 2nd favorite of the proteins. Pulled Pork: a serviceable, tender pulled pork. Just not that exciting. 3 St. Louis Ribs: perhaps actually my favorite since it was very tender and the most obviously smoked of any of the meats. Chicken Quarter: thigh and drum. Lots of Montreal steak seasoning, per my friend, which reminded me of lemon pepper. Juicy and tender. Not as inherently flavorful as my preferred pork proteins. Sides: pretty solid overall. Mac and cheese was solid, creamy coleslaw was refreshing but not strictly needed, collard greens were fine but not very intense, baked beans were sweet and tender. Ube Cornbread comes with the combo and is great. The ube flavor is prominent, and I enjoyed it both with and without butter. The pickles included in the combo were fine but not amazing. Sauces: they aren't amazing, but they do the job. The sweet mustard could have been developed more, and the hot BBQ wasn't that hot, but they all added enough flavor. The chimichurri in my combo didn't hit as intensely as I usually find it; maybe a different vinegar was subbed in? I got a cup for soda ($3.00) and tried to do an Arnold Palmer, but the unsweetened iced tea must have had peach flavor since the only other components were ice and lemonade. Not unwelcome, just different than I expected. The ceiling fans probably helped keep us cool enough, but they were also running a bit too strongly considering their thin paper towels. None of the TVs were tuned to the Stanley Cup Finals for some reason, just some old or offseason NFL coverage. Hog & Tradition is a fun spot that brings a few twists to a solid take on BBQ. It doesn't strike me as a Dominican-leading spot in its current form, and a lot of the smoke is subtle at best, but nothing which I tried today was unlikeable. This is a must-try for pork belly fans all over the valley or carnivores in general in Henderson.
