I thought I've had a good taste of the best tacos around town but I was wrong. I stopped by today and ordered some Carne asada tacos as well as quesabirrias and let me say these tacos are really delicious especially the Quesabirrias the way they are made with the cheese grilled on to the tortilla the way the meat is seasoned and how it blends in well with the other flavors. The consome for the tacos to dip in just really brings it all together. Can't skip out on the Carne asada tacos either they really have a lot of flavor especially when you add the two salsas. My work ordered lunch for pick up. I got the Quesabirria. The birria is so good, flavorful, juicy and tender. Just wish it had a little more cheese, but I'll ask next time. Stopped by Daddy's Tacos for lunch since they were out at the WCSO. Always amazing, never disappoints! What we ordered: Asada Fries - Fresh french fries salted, topped with cheese, asada, pico de gallo, sour cream, and guacamole. These asada fries are legit. No complaints here. However, and this is just personal preference, having all these toppings on crinkle cut fries I think would elevate this dish so much. Quesabirria and Carnitas Tacos (Girlfriend's order): The Quesabirria came highly recommended by the cashier when we came up to the truck, so of course we had to order it. Girlfriend thought it was okay, but it's certainly the best Quesabirria she's tried in Reno. She also said that the Carnitas was pretty good. Overall we were satisfied and would like to check out their store location sometime and try out other items on the menu. read more

BOOM! I am not a Mexican food lover. It's fine. It's good. But it's just not "bright" enough for me. So many places have pasty, heavy and meh food. But like I said...BOOM! not Daddy's Tacos NV. They have something really special. So special that I have hit them up multiple times in the last month. I even had them "cater" a work lunch. My favorite item is definitely the Birria Burger. It's just like it sounds, it's got a side of tasty stew juice to dip the burger in. And for a few dollars more you can get a side of some of the best fries. They also have house made Agua Frescas and Horchatas with only a tiny smidge of sticker shock, but a great treat when you want to splurge a little. The space is clean and new. More bright formica and bright lights than you might expect at a delicious mexican place based on a food truck. Even if it isn't cozy and covered in kitschy knick knacks it's still a nice place to grab a quick lunch. Plus It's just across the street from my work location so there is no question I will be seen here chowing through the menu as quickly as I can. read more

This was my first visit to the restaurant and their food is just as good as I remember from their food truck. It's spacious and very bright and clean inside. The service was warm, friendly and very prompt and professional. Their menu has something for everyone and you can customize your order. I had the handmade quesadilla with Birria and a side of guacamole and it was delicious! My hubby had 2 Birria tacos with sides of rice and beans-he loved everything! We had a pineapple Fresca and horchata-both so refreshing. They will be adding beer and wine to their menu soon and possibly extending their hours. I'm already planning what to order on my next visit! read more

My friends and I ate Daddy's Tacos at Reno Street Food's Food Truck Friday and let me tell you - it did NOT disappoint! Food Truck Friday was crazy busy, but the line for Daddy's Tacos moved so steadily and there were waitresses walking down the line explaining the menu and taking orders so that you didn't have to wait to get up to the register to start your order. The ladies working the truck were so kind and friendly and were able to answer all questions my friend and I had about the menu! I couldn't decide which tacos I should get and so I asked one of the waitresses what her favorites were. She highly recommended the Cochinita Pibil (traditional Yucatan prepared pork) and my favorite is birria, so I ordered one of each! The Cochinita Pibil highly exceeded any expectations that I had and was so juicy and flavorful! I would only recommend it to those who like spice, as it did have a bit of a kick to it, which made it all the better, in my opinion. The pickled onions on top were fresh and perfectly crisp. They had several different salsa options to the side of the food truck that you could pick and choose from to put in small to-go ramekins so that you could wait to put the sauce on your tacos until you were ready to eat them. There were plenty of dairy-free options and even a handful of meatless options which made their food so inclusive for all types of diets! Next time I'm back in Reno, this will definitely be one of my stops for a bite to eat! read more

I was hesitant to give Daddy's a try. Partially because of the people that were bragging about it and partially because I am partial to Los 4 Vientos' truck on Wells. The people that could not say enough about Daddy's have never been to Northern or Southern Mexico to experience street foods so I was curious. I am happy to say that they have nailed it. Fast, friendly, and exceptional food. Last time I was there it was too cold to sit there and eat but it did not detract from the tasty food at all. They know how to use cheese to enhance their tacos in the best way. All 3 flavors of hot sauces are quite good and the barilla juice is amazing too. I understand the 5 star reviews because they deliver a tasty product! I would only choose between this and Los 4 Vientos based on which is closer because the food is very similar. read more

Wow! Check this plate out! This taco truck knows what is up! Delicious and quick! You can taste the freshness of the ingredients! The staff is friendly and can make recommendations, if you have never had their food. They also have a red and green salsa. The tacos can be wrapped in lettuce for a lower calorie treat. Tacos are a healthy size! I was full with two. The nacho chips were the perfect crispness! A delightful crunch in every bit! I'm looking forward to trying the carne asada fries, next time! Order asada fries not knowing what to expect. To only get a bowl not your average bowl of one of the best asada fries I have yet to have. Service was in 5 min or less and the food was good. Yes was due to fact that I devoured it. Really wanted to try the cup cakes they had on display or tres leeche. Bit I know I'll definitely be back for more. This is the second time that I've had a burrito from Daddy's Tacos. Both have been really good. I added an al pastor taco to my order tonight. I have to say, it was disappointing...the meat was dry and pretty bland, and there was almost nothing else, seriously. There was a very, and I mean very, almost not noticeable amount of chopped onions and cilantro, and all on one small corn tortilla. It was a to-go order, so I didn't look around to see if there was a bar with salsas, chills, and toppings. It definitely would have helped. But, that doesn't make up for the one small tortilla. Every decent street taco I've ever had was on two tortillas. Disappointing... If you want a good burrito, Daddy's is a good choice. But, if you're looking for a good taco, go to La Bufa on McCarran at Longley, Carmelita's on North Hills off Golden Valley next to Raley's, or any number of mom and pop taquerias... read more

These tacos are so good! I'm sad that I have to drive so far to get to the location but very worth it. The staff was so nice and answered all of our questions appropriately. Nice little gem tucked away in sparks!! Daddy's tacos has such a vast and delicious menu, you can't go wrong with anything you pick!! My persona favorite are the birria tacos but my husband swears by their burritos! The staff is always very friendly and eager to serve you, and their prices really aren't bad! Tried this place for the first time yesterday (Friday 5/5). First impressions were that the place had a pretty large dining area, and that everything looked clean. There were a few other customers in there while we were trying to figure out what we wanted. I went with the Chorizo Breakfast Burrito (Eggs, potatoes, beans, cheese, your choice of meat, wrapped in a warm flour tortilla). This thing was big and packed with food and flavor throughout. My wife tried 2 of the Birria Tacos (Quesa Style-our original corn tortillas paired with grilled cheese). The tacos are a big bigger than street tacos, and packed with food and flavor. She loved the sauce (sorry the name escapes me) that was provided for dipping the tacos. We both tried all three of their salsas. There is a green salsa which is cool and refreshing. The liter red salsa has good flavor and the darker red is the hotter one. My personal choice are the two red ones, both had good flavor, while the hotter one was not over powering with the heat, allowing me to enjoy what I was eating. We will be coming back, we need to try the Pastor! read more

I had a supreme chicken burrito at Daddy's Taco's food truck today and it really hit the spot. It comes with rice, pinto beans, chicken, sour cream, cheese, and guacamole. The burrito tasted a little plain with the first bite but when I added their salsa verde, it elevated all of the ingredients to another level! Their salsa is incredibly balanced with the perfect mix of acidity and spice. I wish they sold it by the jar! I can't wait to visit their brick and mortar location and try some of their other items. read more

Great food, fantastic service. The Mexican food here is second to none. Today I had their tacos. I ordered one of each style they have. I highly recommend the shredded beef or chicken but honestly you can't go wrong with any of them. When you walk in at first glance it looks like they don't have any seating but they have a good seating section to the right. Only down side is their hours 7am to 3pm. It'd be nice to have dinner here but their location wouldn't make sense to extend the hours. They are delicious enjoy. read more

It was May 5th, Cinco de Mayo, so hubby and I decided to try Daddy's Tacos NV. I wanted to try their Quesa Style Birria tacos. The lady at the counter was very helpful and told me that 2 of them would likely be enough for me and she also said that it is their most popular item. I can see why. Review is for the brick and mortar on Mill St. The Mexican style (yes, there are different variations) horchata here is hands down the BEST you can get in Reno, so that alone will have me coming back for more. The food is good, a lil pricey but it's OK cause I leave satisfied and full. The quesabirria is good, their conseme that goes along with the tacos is rich and full of flavor. The burrito is just OK, I ordered the super sans dairy and the flavors just didn't marry for me. I am very used to a mission style burrito which is unique and I had hoped that Daddy's would be the spot to get the taste from home rolled up in a flour tortilla. It'd be great to see this spot open for dinner but with this brick location they are in no man's land and a bit off the beaten path. read more

I've seen several reviews about this place and have always wanted to try their food. Last Wednesday, they were part of the food truck event, 'Feed The Camel', so I jumped in. After seeing a number of 'cheese shell' tacos, I knew exactly what I wanted. I'm a big fan of Al Pastor so I ordered a cheese shell, Al Pastor taco. The only disappointing thing about the item, I wanted another one after it was gone. Heck, if I would have had the room in my belly, I would have ordered THREE. The food they serve is incredibly fresh, full of flavor, and priced reasonably. I strongly advise following their Social Media to see where they're going to be so you can enjoy the fruits, or deliciousness, of their labor. The tough part about a food truck event, knowing Daddy's will be on-site, is making sure you have room for something from their menu. Thanks for taking the time to read this. read more

I recently visited Daddy's Tacos, an authentic restaurant that was highly recommended by a coworker who raved about the amazing food. Upon entering, my wife and I chose to sit at the bar. Initially, the service was a bit slow as we waited for ten minutes before anyone assisted us. Eventually, a waitress informed us that we needed to place our orders at the end of the bar. Despite the slow start, I was eager to sample a variety of items from the menu. I ordered a Chimichanga carne asada burrito and the Aztec plate, which featured seasoned grilled steak. The burrito was beautifully decorated with sour cream and guacamole. The first bite was an explosion of flavor, with perfectly seasoned carne asada complemented by homemade Mexican rice and beans. The Aztec plate truly transported me to Mexico with its handmade presentation. The tender and marinated carne asada was abundant, easily enough for two people to share. Despite the initial hiccup with the service, Daddy's Tacos truly impressed me with its authentic Mexican cuisine. I highly recommend this location. On this visit my best friend ordered the nachos which come with avocado and she wondered if you can have guacamole instead which they wouldn't sub out... so that's kind of disappointing. They were still good she said but prefer guacamole whereas I prefer avocado so it is too bad when peoples tastes are different it just seems like an easy switch but I don't know! I finally found it, located down a driveway, on the left. I ordered two Carne Asado [steak Tacos] for 8.50. The menu stated that they come with a red or green sauce. I was also informed by the girl at the register that there is onions and cilantro . I got my order to go. When I got home and opened the box I was very disappointed. The beef was not a good cut. I had a lot of marinade for tenderizing the beef. The cilantro was inedible because it was not fresh or refrigerated so I am in the process of cutting up some of my own cilantro to replace the old, cilantro. I noticed that other reviews were being given 4 but I must be honest with my experience. I hope this helps others who are seeking a good taco

Me gusta que pongan también unos baños portables cerca de la truck y un lavamanos Justo a un lado, así uno puede lavarse sus manos antes de comer, especialmente si come ahí mismo.
