Immediately when I came in the restaurant was on a lunch rush. It was a good sign seeing people come in and out for takeout and people sitting down enjoying their lunch. This is one of the cleanest kitchens I've seen. The food is out quickly and ready to eat. I got a quesadilla with handmade corn tortilla. That was my favorite with the Al pastor meat. Their birria burger also packed a lot of flavor. And if you're a big back, get the loaded carne asada fries. Check out @grubbingwithmagno on YouTube, instagram, TikTok or facebook to see more.

It's been a while since we've been to Daddy's Tacos and now we're wondering why! We had a great lunch of Menudo and a breakfast burrito. Menudo is only served on the weekends, so it was a treat to go on a Sunday. It's just a bit too spicy for me (just my preference) but the tripe was very tender snd delicious. I recommend that you get the large portion rather than the small. I think it's a better value to get the bigger size. The small size was pretty small for $9, as opposed to $12 for the larger size. To the chef, I respectfully recommend adding more hominy as there was not very many in my small portion. My hubby loved his breakfast burrito. Great flavors and a great portion size. The service from the register staff was wonderful and we were checked on numerous times to see if everything was okay. Love the care that the staff provides to check on their diners. We'll be back soon!

Long over due for review, came by last week.. and forgot about daddy's taco. Located on mills St. near Edison. Popular hot spot in Reno. The service was quick, nice employees too. I ordered the taco . It was good. The meat is well marinated, and savory. They also have a food truck... be on a look out for their truck.

We ordered a catering pickup order for my birthday. This was the best idea we have had for an easy bday party yet. Food was hot and ready right at the time it was supposed to be. There was more than plenty for the party and tons of left overs. I will always recommend Daddy's for any occasion. Queso is Bomb.com!

It is my belief that you could not go hungry ordering any of the plates at Daddy's Tacos. We always have left overs to enjoy later, and boy do we enjoy. While we are eating first and second. It's always hard figuring what to order because it all sounds so good.

I've loved this place since their opening! My work is right next door, and they even offer a neighbors discount, major bonus points. During our company's recent move, we were here a lot, and every visit was consistently great. On my most recent trip, I met my husband for lunch. The restaurant has plenty of seating, it's always clean, and the staff is friendly and welcoming. Hubby ordered the asada chimichanga, he said it was a solid 4/5. I went with the Al Pastor nachos, they did not disappoint. The Al Pastor is spicy, flavorful, and has this little touch of cinnamon that makes it unique and delicious. And the portion size? Massive! Definitely come hungry. Overall, Daddy's Tacos continues to be one of my go-to spots for a satisfying, casual meal in Reno.

So the wife and I saw people were post about this place. So we went and tried it and glad we did. The place is good size and the staff is super friendly and helpful. My wife loved her taco with a cheese shell. I got the Al Pasto super burrito. The food came out so fast and was delicious. The place has a counter you can sit at or an open dining hall as well. We will definitely be back to this place! Cheers

Having had Daddy's catering before I wanted eat here. I had the traditional tacos al pastor. They were excellent. I would recommend.

Service was prompt and friendly, the restaurant clean and open, there was even a salsa bar to get your choice.

Stopped in for lunch with my wife and boys, and we finally got to try the famous breakfast tacos everyone talks about and they absolutely lived up to the hype! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The tacos were easily some of the best we've had. The vibe and service was great, and we really enjoyed the experience. My wife always enjoys a good salsa bar so she was glad to see that to try several different options. We'll definitely be back!

3/7/26 ordered from DoorDash today. Extra massive burrito. 3 tortillas measured at almost 2 foot long. Descent flavor but was packed SO BAD. Foil and plastic bad? Cmon really? If you're gonna sell an item this large, find a better way to package it for transport.

I never tried them at the Food Truck ~ only on location at the Mill address. Very large restaurant, lots of space for large parties. Feels a bit unfinished, but has everything you need. This is authentic food! I ordered a chimi, friends have ordered tacos, burritos. The servings are always huge, with plenty to share. Friendly people behind the bar taking orders, and they had patience with me as I checked out the menu. The chimi was excellent. Loved the crispy, yet soft outside, and I would order this again and again - maybe with a bit more guac :) It's on the expensive side for mexican food, but it is quality with good quantity too. I'll be bac.

Tacos - Chicken Tinga and cochinita pibil
    Michael T.

I don't know if I'm lucky or unfortunate at daddy's. Tacos is not in South Reno because I think if it was in there weekly. For me, daddy's Tacos was loved at first bite, but with the location, I'm not always in the area though. I do crave it often. Earlier this year I got to visit and I discovered a few new items that I can't stop raving about! Now they are known for their quesabirria, but the truth is there are some serious gems on the menu. For me, their chicken Tinga and cochinita pibil are absolute stunners. Tinga is juicy and tender with a deep rich flavor and a slight spice. The cochinita has a spicy sweetness that I just can't get enough of, and looking at it you can tell it is made from a whole pork shoulder, perfectly slow cooked, seasoned and shredded, and excellent in any of their dishes! I was in the area today with intense hunger, so I popped in and got one taco of each, topped them both with the hot and mild salsa and a squeeze of lime, plus a healthy side of pickled jalapeños, and it was just the perfect lunch. Not too heavy, not too late and absolutely delicious. This was the first time not getting the tacos quesa style, and honestly, I think I enjoyed them more though these meats are very juicy and so they did so the tortilla a little bit not that I'm complaining! Oh yeah, and the tacos come stuffed with so much meat. You get to take a few bites of the fork before folding them up and mowing them down. Today was a solid reminder that I need to make this part of my rotation because everything here is just so delicious!

The enchilada sauce was again rather bland though creamy. Likely a 6/10. Just did not appeared to be seasoned in any way. The taco was a 5/10. I liked how they achieved the crunchy corn tortilla, but again it was very bland. The rice was soggy and flavorless. The refried beans had some cheese . But once again, no seasoning of any kind. The flan was pretty well made, though they didn't bother giving me the whipped cream. Our waitress was hostile to us and we ended up having to go up to the register to pay at the end after 1.75 hours. I had ordered the flan after somebody else ordered and it had come out. I wanted to see what it looked like before deciding. The waitress looked at me like "really" like why did I not order it earlier. When I asked for silverware after getting it she just about snapped. She hadn't cleaned up the extra silverware on the table as is normally expected so she grabbed it and slammed it by me like she was losing it. The air of the place kind of gave off a toxicity like nobody wanted to be there, everyone was miserable, and the customers were treated as annoyances that needed to get out. The food came across as the kitchen having lost all passion for cooking and doing the absolute bare minimum. Felt like I was at a restaurant from kitchen nightmares and Gordon Ramsay was going to walk in at any second. I had terrible gas and pain after getting home even 5 hours later so I am pretty sure the chili relleno had gluten, though that's my fault. We ended up here because there were not many decent options open at 3:30 pm. It was a place nobody really wanted to go to and I do not imagine that we will ever find ourselves here ever again. Rather not feel like our waitress is about to attack us and the people at the register look at us like go away.

I was glad that I did finally drop in. Located in a little strip mall on Valley Road, it's an unassuming place from the outside. The inside is small, but comfortable and it felt very "homey". When I walked in, the first thing that hit me was the smell of delicious food wafting through the air. The tastes did not disappoint. We were greeted and sat promptly by a personable young man that brought us water. The owner then brought us our drinks...a margarita for my dining companion and a Mandarin Jarritos for me. My sip of the margarita tasted amazing! Great balance and flavor. We also received a basket of chips and salsa. You could tell that they were made fresh to order. The chips were crispy and hot. The salsa was outstanding...fresh cilantro...balanced combination of flavors with a nice, subtle kick of spiciness at the back end. Not too spicy...just right. I usually have to ask for something hotter...not in this case. The food was amazing! My dining companion ordered the Chile Relleno plate and I got the Molcajete. The prices are outstanding and the amount of food? Huge plates! My Molcajete was sizzling hot and overflowing with chicken, beef, shrimp, nopales and ground beef mixed with veggies. A large plate of refried beans and spanish rice also accompanied this presentation. Fresh, hot, delicious corn tortillas rounded out each of our orders. We were also given a couple of squeeze bottles of sauces...green and red...to add to our meals if we wanted. Freshly made and the bottles were presented in a plastic tub filled with ice to keep them cold. Great addition to the already amazing food! There's also a nice selection of Mexican hot sauces on the table for you to choose from. We both took to-go boxes...so much food! Mine lasted for 2 more meals! I plan to return on a regular basis...this is now one of my favorite local places for great Mexican food. As always, I suggest that you visit to see what YOU think...
