It is great to have a mochi donut shop in south reno! The location is wonderful, you can have a snack break while shopping or before going to the movies. When you go in, you place your order at the kiosk and they are pretty quick to have your order done. It is a nice restaurant with big windows and outdoor seating! I really enjoyed the Dubai mochi donut and the watermelon juice - yum!!

5/17/26 Missed the soft opening, but made it in today.. Surprised and glad it wasn't too busy.. Step up to the kiosk to place your order.. Went with six donuts .. Great ambiance with cool music.. I'm not a big mochi person but they did have a pistachio chocolate one...

Better than I expected! I don't normally like donuts so when mochinut opened right next to my yoga studio a few days ago, I was skeptical. But I came in and tried the choco kit kat flavor and I enjoyed it. It seems like the perfect place for teenagers featuring weird flavors and bright colors and a clean modern interior. The texture of these donuts is softer and fluffier, not cloying or dense or cakey which is what I prefer. They are very cute and aesthetic and pretty! I can't wait to come back and try the boba as I adore boba.

Nice to have a Mochinut near our house. Very simple set up. You order and pay at a kiosk and wait for it to come out. They have other items like hot dogs and various drinks. Several tables if you want to dine in. Check it out.

Kiosk (the one you can order food/drinks only) the other one near by door works for drinks only

Visited in the late afternoon and it was pretty busy. The ordering setup was a bit confusing there are two kiosks one near the entrance for drinks only and another by the cashier for both food and drinks. That definitely caused some confusion for first time customers. We ordered 6 mochi donuts strawberry cheesecake Dubai chocolate mango sticky rice Choco Kit Kat Vietnamese coffee. Overall, they were on the sweeter side some a bit too sweet like the Choco Kit Kat. A couple felt a bit bland especially the Vietnamese coffee which had the aroma but not much real coffee flavor. Favorites were the strawberry cheesecake and Dubai chocolate good balance flavorful without being overly sweet. The mango sticky rice was interesting and different though not the best pairing in my opinion... For drinks we tried the Ube Matcha Einspanner and Tiger Sugar Dirty Latte. The Ube Matcha was pretty flat in flavor while the Tiger Sugar was strong and slightly reminded me of Vietnamese coffee with sweetness added actually pretty good. We stayed to eat and found out they sold out of mochi donuts by around 5pm which led to a lot of customers leaving disappointed. That seems like an issue especially since mochi donuts feel like their main item. Staffing also seemed very limited just the owner and family running everything. Tables weren't very clean with crumbs left around and the space itself looks partially updated but still feels dated likely from its previous tenant which was a Starbucks... Overall, there is some potential here I would come back to try other flavors and the corn dogs but they still need improvements in stock management cleanliness and the ordering system.

We ordered the Dust Storm: a vanilla milkshake with chocolate bits, topped with a giant blondie skewered dramatically on top, plus whipped cream, sprinkles, and chocolate drizzle. The rim of the jar was coated in marshmallow dip and graham cracker crumbs because apparently subtlety has left the chat. Honestly, the presentation was on point and exactly the kind of milkshake kids dream about. Which is why we ordered it. My tween declared it "the best milkshake I've ever seen in my life," and honestly, that alone made it worth the stop on our mother-daughter trip. Taste-wise, it leaned very sweet for me and didn't have a ton of flavor depth beyond sugar overload. But clearly the goal here is maximal fun and aesthetic, and they absolutely nailed that. It's basically a photo op you can drink. The shop itself was surprisingly quiet when we visited in the evening--we had the whole place to ourselves--but there were games to play while waiting for our order (we pulled out Pick Up Sticks, which transported me straight back to my 90s childhood living room). The ladies at the counter were also incredibly kind and patient explaining the menu and flavors to us. If you're looking for an over-the-top dessert experience your kids will talk about for days, this is your place.

I was surprised to see this place as I've driven by this strip of businesses many times and never noticed this particular spot. They offer homemade treats, but mostly ice cream. They have an almost unmatched selection of non-dairy ice creams and sorbets. A nice surprise. The gentleman helping us was very nice and gave us a full rundown of how they make everything in house. He offered samples and suggestions. I sampled the flavor of the week, Lavender Honey Matcha, and the coconut cream coffee. My kids decided on the mango sorbet and the classic strawberry. Everything was delicious. The coconut cream ice cream had great flavor and texture given that it was non dairy. My wife and I decided on the matcha flavor of the week. It was very refreshing. The strawberry had real chunks of strawberry which is always a treat. My biggest critique is the texture of the ice cream. This stuff seemed very crumbly. I prefer a much more "chewy" or "sticky" ice cream if that makes sense. This stuff was more "dry" and less "creamy". There are some other local shops in the area that make great ice cream exactly how I like it, which is the only reason for 4 stars. I'm not sure this would be my top place for ice cream again. The smallest "one scoop" size is actually nearly two full scoops. Could be a good thing for some, but a kids scoop is always appreciated for my toddlers, especially a a slightly discounted price. That is not an option here. There are a few small tables inside to enjoy your treats and lots of to-go options which is always nice. The place was clean and well decorated. It was steadily busy while we visited, indicating that this place is likely here to stay. Overall, worth stopping in if you're in the area. The flavors are unique and tasty and the non-dairy selection is fantastic.

She absolutely loves this place and even claims it's better than Insomnia Cookies so of course, we had to see for ourselves. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted, and the customer service was honestly 10/10. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and patient while we decided which flavors to try. We picked out a variety of cookies, and I will say they are big, thick, and fluffy. Visually, they're impressive, and texture-wise they're soft and indulgent. Flavor-wise, they were good... but for me personally, they were just a little too sweet. Almost overwhelmingly sweet. If you love ultra-sugary, decadent desserts, this will probably be your dream spot. They're definitely high-quality cookies just not quite my personal favorite because of the sugar level. I'd love to see slightly more balance in sweetness so the other flavors can shine. Would I come back? Yes. Would I pace myself next time? Also yes. Overall, great service, beautiful cookies, and a fun dessert stop in Reno just be ready for a serious sugar rush.

We sampled each one and our favorite by far was the Hostess Cupcake one. Just like the real one with a creamy filling included. We didn't really care for the Biscoff S'mores Crookie, but overall we enjoyed them. The cookies are similar to what you would get from Crumbl, but Crave's didn't seem too rich like Crumbl does. It was the right amount of rich I felt. I believe they offer new flavors every week.
