This was my first time visiting this Korean spa. The facility is on the smaller side, with only three treatment rooms plus hot and cold jacuzzis, but everything was clean and some of the spa goers were really nice and helpful. I booked the body scrub and massage special. The Korean woman who was assigned to me did an excellent job with the body scrub. My skin felt soo soft, smooth, and clean afterward. Unfortunately, the massage was a very different experience. She was too rough, especially around my left shoulder and arm, and instead of feeling relaxed the next day, my body was sore and aching. The discomfort was significant enough that I had to ice the area and take pain medication for relief. I was disappointed because the massage overshadowed what was otherwise a fantastic body scrub. One other challenge was the language barrier. The staff spoke very little English, which made it difficult to communicate my preferences and let them know when the massage pressure was too intense. Overall, the spa is clean, and I would return for the body scrub, but I would be hesitant to book another massage unless I could request a different therapist. read more

I gave this spa another chance, and it was a big mistake. I usually come here for a body scrub and massage. I stopped getting massages because they are extremely aggressive, and I always end up with a headache afterward. Then I stopped doing body scrubs as well, because the last time they literally scratched my skin. Today I came only because it was very cold, and I just wanted to warm up, relax, and maybe sleep a little. Wrong decision. A group of women were talking extremely loudly. I politely asked them if they could lower their voices. They gave me a look and rushed out. Shortly after, another two women came in and started talking just as loudly. I honestly don't understand how this is not common sense. When you're in a spa, you lower your voice or don't talk at all out of respect for others who are trying to relax. Brought my mom here for an early Mother's Day spa day and then took her to lunch at the Rich Crab, a few doors down. It's a women's only spa. We did the Daengki special and I added the V-steam as well because of the other reviews. The Daengki special included scrub, oil wrap, massage, mini facial and the saunas. As soon as you get in, you have to take off your shoes and bring it to the locker and get naked! Then go to the shower area. It wasn't too crowded but people took their spots already. I cleaned myself immediately and when to the steam room. There were 4 people and no place to seat. What I like about this place is they have mud room and eggs slowly cooked by hot stone. I may come again. It's cheap $25.00 and I can stay in the mud room. Ordered a drink and an egg for $5.00 But wouldn't come with girl friends to hang out. No powder room, no private shower. We waited, and they ended up placing us on opposite ends of the room I asked the front desk lady if we could at least be on the same side (front desk lady was being super nice and try to explain why). I LOVE this all Women's spa!!!!! It's my holy grail. I come here once a month now and even twice a month. This is my go to spa as I'm born and raised in K-Town. I've been coming here for the past 3 years now and I always get the aroma scrub and massage for $125 with a $30 tip. Don't feel intimidated by all the elderly Korean women aka Umma's that gawk at you. You shower first (spa etiquette) and then you soak in the jacuzzi to soften your skin and or ice plunge. You can use the sauna or steam room as well and then they Use a Korean service to scrub your entire body really getting in there. Followed with another quick shower and then the deep tissue massage and lastly full body aroma lavender body oil. Then authentic Korean spa facial using all those hand techniques to lift your face and thread facial mask cucumber or oil. Then a head scrub and hair wash treatment followed with hot towel treatment on full body. The total treatment is 2 hours. There are heated floorings and small pillows for you to relax in. Bring easy slide sandals or shoes as you have to leave them outside by the doorstep way. By the way They make you tip in the beginning of your service and are kind of persistent on it but I highly recommend leaving a generous tip even if it's your first time for the amazing hard work experience, I promise you'll be leaving relaxed and so rejuvenated from mind to body. I recommend coming here as early as possible anytime after 10a is busy and not as relaxing or quiet. Definitely call to make an appointment. read more

Small and quaint. I came here specially for a massage because I wanted to soak before. I called prior to arriving to make sure there was availability, there was, and I arrived about 20 minutes later. The massage was $70 and when I got there the lady checking me in suggested I pay $20 more for a scrub. I went to this place primarily from a glowing Yelp review. The reviews are accurate: the spa is simple, their services are straightforward but they do get the job done. What I love the best: my mom 83 y/o cannot handle a very hot jacuzzi to soak in. Most Korean spas prefer a soak in the hot tub before they do a whole body scrub ie, to ease the skin peeling process but in this spa, they were ok to do the body scrub for my mom with just simply a shower. Trust me, for this New Year, I really didn't feel like starting it out writing reviews like this! However, because it was my birthday and my sister decided to treat me to a spare of the moment day spa! I was really hesitant, about coming here! Because I have worked for several Koreans as a young girl! I can understand both their body and spoken language very well! Although they were nice at the front desk! (The owner was one)The actual workers WERE NOT! Upon our entering the service area we immediately was in the locker room with just a divider covering the front desk! Naked women were everywhere! That's not the problem ( it's a women's spa )but what about if mail men or service workers need to come in? There's not much coverage from the front office! No one gave a us a tour and everything was in Korean. So I decided to have a look around to get familiar with the different areas! There wasn't that many, just two! As I walked around, of course I was stared at by other Korean customers! So I didn't bother to make eye contact with their faces ( not very welcoming) I went to the restroom ( single toilet, meg shift constructed, with no windows) Some one had taken a poop! And didn't spray! So I reach for the toilet spray and almost grabbed the roach spray that was sitting there next to it instead! I headed to the suns to wait for my massage, which was pretty hot but felt nice! Once every one cleared I noticed a scratching noise in the walls! So I got up to leave! As I examined the room, I noticed that a crockpot (the same brand that I cook with) was in the corner and was the source of the steam! WOW!!! The massage Warning!!! THERE IS NO PRIVACY ROOM OR AREA! I was summoned by a little older lady who lead me to the open area with three beds. As I laid down on the slippery plastic covered bed! The other workers chuckled and spoke in their language, my worker huffed and began giving me directions harshly! I did feel a little fat shamed because of the chucked and stares from the other workers! The scrub/ massage was ok! I wasn't asked if there were and special attention areas though! She wasn't mean but wasn't very friendly either! Which made it hard for me to relax! As she finished up she point to the two Jacuzzi's in the middle of the open room ( full of Korean ladies talking very loudly the entire time) and said what I thought I heard her say ...."DONT GO IN THERE!" Which I had no intention of going in anyway! As I waited for my sister to finish up her massage, I decided to get dress! Because I wasn't very comfortable! The relax area had a very loud Television. When my sis came out she was happy with her massage and spoke very highly of the lady! As she went to tip the lady she handed her the money and politely told her "Thank you so much! I WILL BE BACK! " My sister was IMMEDIATELY SCOFFED AT by the worker! She began arguing to a co-worker loudly! She paced back and forth across the establishment, talking such trash, that another customer entering the establishment, gave a raised eyebrow! I peaked around to see what was going on and asked my sister (who had no idea of their 20% Tip rule) How much she paid her? She said $10.... I then said oh she is upset that you didn't tip more! The worker then walk up to us and said "DONT COME BACK! I DONT WANT TO DO YOU ANYMORE!!!" I was beyond shocked, we went to the front desk to inform the manager, she explained the tip situation, to my Sister... so my sister offered more money! As a curtesy! I insisted she not pay, due to the level of rudeness! .....And with all the things a witnessed and experienced here? I knew something was wrong when we went back to tip the workers and after I handed $20 to my worker, she glared over to my sister hand, so see what she was paying her worker! Now my Sister is a very kind person, she works very hard and doesn't get to do spas that often! And YES we normally go to Burke Williams and get treat and pampered EXTREMELY WELL! But this was the worst $$ spent! Maybe you should pay your workers more money so they understand that a tip is meant to be a appreciated gift and not their paycheck! Parking situation maybe difficult since they have valet parking in the plaza(not sure how much it costs). I love this Women Spa because it is small(not ideal to hang out with friends), so it's less crowded and has no kids hanging around. And of course, no homeless stay over night like those people in WiSpa. Daengki Spa gives me a sense of home. I pay for spa in order to get reconnected with myself and in order to reveal my thoughts and to be more productive after all. This is a women-only Korean spa. The entrance is through a metal gate which is locked at all times. Everyone gets butt naked here and no one seems to care, and no one stares. If you are self-conscious don't worry. There are women of all sizes and age groups here, and they are too busy socializing and chatting away in Korean. I called in advance to make an appointment for two for their body scrub and massage combo for a weekday night- no issues at all. We paid in advance. There's valet parking for $5. We got here 30 minutes before our appointment to take a shower there and to sit in the hot spa (scalding hot) to soften our skin. The scrub and massage combo is amazing and I probably shed 5 lbs of dead skin and feel totally refreshed afterwards. There's even a real cucumber facial at the end. FYI, they will scrub and massage almost every inch of your body - between your toes, armpit, almost in every fold of your body... All emo's was professional and they will make sure about your relaxation with them. They didn't sell any kind of food but you can buy only drinks. Usually weekends are very busy but you can enjoy time in there with quite at weekdays. If you stay this place for more than 4hours, you should move your car. Went to Wi spa at first for a scrub but saw the giant line at the door and noped out of there. I remembered a friend went here to Daengki so ended up grabbing a last minute appointment. I've been to Olympic Spa and this is definitely more mom and pop. I got the scrub and massage - ran out of time but I'd definitely come back to just hang out on the heated floors. It's super low key, women's spa where it just feels SO comfortable! Sure you don't have of the amenities of the big spas but I just want a place that I can roll in without any airs. read more
