Each had a different style and mix of massage/stretching techniques, but every session was amazing. I usually get the combo massage (Thai/Swedish) and have also tried the deep tissue massage at least once. The rooms/dividers don't go all the way up to the ceiling, so you can hear some surrounding noise, but it's not loud enough to disturb the overall atmosphere. They accept card, but it's a few dollars cheaper if you pay with cash or Venmo. They also run online specials from time to time, so I'd recommend checking their website before calling to book. Lalita was PHENOMENAL! I've gotten Thai combo massages before where I feel like they're just doing stuff to waste my time-this was not that. The walking on the back may have been the best I've experienced. Everything felt very intentional to the needs of my body. The only thing that was off putting. You pay before your service and at the end you tip the person on Venmo/cash. The suggested tips are a bit high. The lowest recommendation was more than 20%. Although they don't say anything to you, at the end of the massage, the masseuse is waiting there with your water/tea. If for some reason you didn't want to tip, I could see it being a very awkward exit. Or if you simply can't afford the tip amounts they're recommending, it could be an awkward exit. I agree with others when this place is super aggressive about the tipping. The minimum that this place requires is $20 and for a $73 massage, asking for a $20 tip is. 27%. So when I gave her $15 she was extremely cold and left. I would love to go back cause I think the massage was great but when you're forced, and demanded at least a $20- I can no longer support a business like that. While they did manage to work out most of the knots, the massage itself wasn't very relaxing. What really ruined the experience was the aggressive tipping behavior. I was a semi-regular customer here for several years, and I even recommended this place to friends and family. If I had reviewed earlier, it would have been 5 stars. What used to set this place apart was reliability and attention to pain relief. Appointments started on time, and therapists would ask where I was hurting, adjust pressure when asked, and make a real effort to address it. As someone with chronic pain, I genuinely appreciated that. I consistently tipped a little over 20% in cash (based on the pre-discount price). The only times it varied slightly were due to whatever cash I had on me--but it was always right around or above 20%. Something changed last year, and the experience has deteriorated significantly. Scheduling / front desk: Every time I went in, I was told the therapist I requested wasn't there and was assigned someone else. On top of that, the front desk regularly acted like I wasn't even on the schedule, regardless of when I booked. This happened consistently, not occasionally. Tipping setup and pressure: There is no way to tip on a card--cash only. The front desk also refuses to break bills in advance, which forces an awkward situation at the end of the massage. Combined with that, there is clearly an unspoken expectation that tips should be closer to ~30%. Around ~20% is treated very differently now. A tip of around 20% is generally considered standard in the U.S. across service industries. Expecting something closer to 30%--without being upfront about it--puts customers in an uncomfortable position. Therapists also openly count the tip in front of you and react visibly. Whether or not that's common somewhere, it comes across as rude and unprofessional in a customer-facing business. I also noticed that the price for a one-hour massage has increased by another $10 since my last visit. I have no issue with businesses raising prices--if anything, I would prefer a straightforward price increase. What is not reasonable is raising prices while also creating an unspoken expectation of significantly higher tips. Final visit (why I won't return): I gave the place another chance after years of being satisfied, and this was the breaking point. Once again, the front desk acted like I wasn't on the schedule and assigned me a different therapist. From the start, the therapist's demeanor was tense and unwelcoming. When I asked for more pressure, I was ignored--even after repeating the request more clearly. More importantly, the massage ended early--roughly 50 minutes into what I paid for as a full hour. There was no acknowledgment or correction from the therapist or the front desk. Ending a one-hour session early while charging full price is not acceptable. Despite that, I still left over a 20% tip in cash. The interaction at the end was abrupt and uncomfortable. At this point, what used to be a reliable and genuinely helpful place has become inconsistent and uncomfortable. Between unreliable scheduling, early-ended sessions, and the pressure around tipping, it no longer feels like a professional environment. I would have preferred to simply not come back and move on. However, I think customers should understand what they may be walking into, and I hope management takes a serious look at what has changed. On Thursday, my bf had proposed that we get a massage on Friday as we would have time to kill in the Koreatown area. On Friday, I ended up calling at 130pm to make a same day appt for 315pm for two. Wasn't sure if they'd have any openings on such a short notice but we were able to get an appt for both of us super quickly and easily. We ended up walking here so I can't comment on the parking situation but check in was simple as well. Decided we wanted to do a combo Thai/Swedish massage for 60 min which was something like $63 for each of us. The guy at the front let us know that there was a small discount if we used Venmo/Zelle and also saw a handful of specials posted on the wall if we ever wanted to buy multiple visits (3+ visits). The massage itself was great. I have no idea what part of the body was being used to massage me at any given time but it was the perfect combination of painful and pleasant. I really felt brand new afterwards. My bf was absolutely raving about his massage and as someone who frequently gets massages due to his bad back, he said this was probably his best massage yet (s/o to Joy). If you have alot of knots be prepared. I thought I was going to die when the masseuse started stepping on me. But they have something on top where they don't use their whole weight. My bf loved his. The masseuse was very knowledgeable and even worked really hard to get his knots undone. But was only able to loosen a majority of them. I've been here I think 4 or 5 times now - I try to stop by every time I come down to LA from the Bay Area. They used to have a stamp card but no longer offering that! For the massage I like to go with the deep tissue one (they go pretty hard but I have a high tolerance) to get rid of my knots. They do walk on you (part of Thai massage style) but you can, of course request them not to. The establishment is pretty clean and they have individual rooms with a curtain as the door. Last time I was there was a bit awkward because I could see my female masseuse peeking through the curtains to check if I was ready lolll Once you are done with the massage they bring out some water for you and there is a chart of how much you should tip per time that was serviced. I believe they have that because some customers don't tip enough...? Anyways, it could be a good guide for those who don't know how much to tip. I requested a couples massage the day before and was confirmed. When I arrived I was asked to pay for services first. As a person that loves to get services (massages, hair, nails, toes etc) I've never been asked to pay for services before the actual service. I thought that was very untactful and I declined and advised that I would pay for services after they have been rendered. I checked in using Yelp and I received $10 off. When they walked us back to the "couples" massage room it wasn't ready and they had to separate us. It's so late in the day why was the room not ready???? I would also like to note that our appointment was at 6:30 pm and we arrived before hand so we would be on time. When I was walked into my room they didn't even start me till 6:40 pm which I noted and said we have to extend the time to accommodate a 90 min massage ( she agreed ). The massage was good but, the service that I received before the massage was un-favorable. Amazing First-Time Experience! I came in yesterday (1/17/25) with two friends as a last-minute walk-in, and we were accommodated within 30 minutes--super impressive for such short notice! The staff was incredibly friendly, and I was paired with Tisha while my friends had other therapists.
