Run down, old style bowling alley. This is our second time here. The first time, they wouldn't let us bowl because they said there wouldn't be enough time. Today was the second time and they said we could play but made sure to let us know we had to be done within 45 minutes. Something so weird about feeling rushed. I paid for my two kids to play one game and it costs $20! Staff isn't very friendly. I don't know. I feel like if you're a local and this is your place, then this is your place... but honestly, I would choose to go somewhere else. read more

This is the second time in three months I've come here, and both times have been awful. I really wanted to give this place another shot, but it was just as bad, if not worse. The staff and even the manager were completely unprofessional. When I brought up an issue, they literally laughed in my face instead of trying to help or fix anything. That alone was enough to ruin the experience. On top of that, the entire place smells like sewage as soon as you walk in, like something is leaking from the bathroom. It feels like forever since I last went bowling! We had a reservation for one lane for two hours, which included shoe rental, and the total cost was $110. We made sure to check in 15 minutes early, as they suggested. While we were waiting and preparing for our lane, we noticed that everyone was bowling at lightning speed. The service was okay; it felt like the staff was just going through the motions. The atmosphere was quite calm. Although our lane experienced some technical issues that required us to wait a bit, cutting into our bowling time, we made the best of it. FYI, its an older bowling alley. Enjoy!!! read more

Our family unknowingly started our bowling session too early and disrupted a league game by starting to put our names in the system before they were officially finished. My son who has mental health issues was kindly informed by those folks we have disrupted their game. My son had an outburst and the security was involved. The security officer on duty was very kind and understanding and we were able to have a great evening bowling. I wish I got his name, but I want to show some love and respect! read more

How disappointing...I reserved on-line for 2 hours with 6 people. When we arrived we were told we only had the remaining hour. I was dumbfounded because we had only arrived 5 minutes after our scheduled time. The attendant pointed out our rental was from 3-5pm. No, it was from 4-6 pm. I pulled up my reservation and low and behold it showed 3-5. I asked what more it would cost to play until 6. He said that wouldn't be an option as they have full scheduled leagues at 5pm. Oh, so maybe the app wouldn't let me scheduled 4-6 but didn't alert me...we'll never know. Anyway, we get our shoes and begin play. We're in the last 3 players on the 9th frame and the lane goes dark and the machine stops. But here we are eating at the Cafe (great btw) and there isn't anybody here. Clearly this restaurant did not plan for the bowling event they hosted. We got into the restaurant an hour before our bowling event there were maybe two other tables with people sitting at them, yet, the wait staff barely acknowledged us. We were brought one menu that looked like it had been taken out of the trash, it was crumpled up and dirty. We sat for quite awhile waiting to order, once we were able to order we waited a very long time to get our food. When we got it, it was wrong and cold, we ordered the French Toast and it tasted like it was deep fried in old grease. There were two gentlemen working in the cooking area. There was one waitress working the restaurant and besides looking like she was overwhelmed, she had a terrible attitude, and didn't give a darn about her customers. We never got our OJ and when we went to pay she asked if we wanted it to go. Ugh. I will say I get it, that it's a bowling alley but I have had excellent service and great food at bowling alleys. Unless they change things at this place such as their food and attitude, I will never go back, nor would I recommend it. The Rockin Bowl Cafe: I don't think I've ever associated a bowling alley diner is having really good food but this one actually does! I've got to say that I'm actually quite impressed! I've had lunch here several times and each time ordered a burger with the first time being a sourdough burger and the second time a classic cheeseburger both with fries. I guess I expected charge or odd meat, side vegetables and super greasy fries. But this diner is so actually very opposite! Each time the burgers patties seem to be a good grade of ground meat (not slimy or tough) cooked perfectly on fresh buns.Also, the lettuce, tomatoes, onions and pickles are fresh, vibrant and crisp. The bacon on these are also impressive, as they are thick cut and not under or over cooked. The fries are just right and not greasy or too salty. And the staff here is super friendly and courteous and I have enjoyed every interaction. I have yet to still try a breakfast and other menu items and looking forward to it. Overall I think this diner should get two thumbs up because it meets and exceeds all the criteria of what a diner should be: Great food at a great price with great customer service! read more

We've been going there weekly. This place is horrible. The front desk worker Anthony always has an attitude. Always seems like he don't wanna work or don't want business. He treats the customers like crap. He might even be a racist. The bar tender Makes it seem like she don't want to serve drinks. Overall customer service is crap. Basing this primarily on the poor service, both slow and unfriendly. Prices have nearly doubled since last there 4yrs. ago but I realize costs are up. The waitress delayed greeting or telling us we could be seated. Finally I asked and she's mumbles " go ahead" We Sat at our booth nearly 10 mins. with just menus, no excuse for not getting us water and coffee asap. There were only 3 tables. She kept stopping to attend immediately to any one that walked in from the bowling alley to get them beverages. Our food takes quite a long time for some odd reason. When it does arrive about 20 mins later it isn't hot?? What really, has she ignored it for the past 10 mins. sitting back there!! My husband I were were both beyond at this point. We made two requests on our eggs Benedict, soft/runny eggs and hubby's hash browns crispy as we hate albino soft potatoes. Well not only is food barely warm our eggs were both firm, hubby's hash were extra crispy though for sure. I would have sent my food back but she failed to return until asking if I wanted a to-go box. .. plus hubby said we just won't be back. The hollandaise was thick nearly congealed, ham paper thin. Mediocre food, billing a DISASTER! We dined with another couple at the Rock 'n Bowl Cafe on 1/4/22. Before ordering, we told the waitress that we had coupons on the new 2022 Entertainment app, and we were told the three entrees that the BOGO coupons could be used on. Upon paying our bills, we were told that they would NOT honor the coupons because they no longer had a coupon button on their computer screen. They called the owner who told the cashier to NOT honor the coupons that had valid non-expired dates in the app. The checkout process went through four employees plus the owner's call and took over 30 minutes to complete-- what a waste of everyone's time-- go figure! They took our names and phone numbers for the owner to get back with us, and we filed complaints with the Entertainment app company, but we've received NO response to date from the owner-- go figure! Now for the order: I ordered the chicken tenders entree while the other three in my party ordered chicken fried steak entrees. After ordering, the waitress came back and asked if I wanted the 3 or 5 pieces tenders-- I ordered the 5 pieces, but my dinner came to me with FOUR pieces-- go figure! I also ordered a baked potato, but I received french fries-- go figure! To top it off, they charged me for dipping sauce for my tenders-- go figure! The other 3 ordered and got baked potatoes but were charged $4.00 each for them even though the menu gives you a choice of baked, mashed, or fries with no extra charge indicated-- go figure! The menu indicated that entrees come with a dinner roll, of which none of us got one, and when we asked for ours, we were told that they no longer serve rolls with dinners, despite what the menu says-- go figure! We used to dine there about every few months for many years, but that is now problematic at best. Before we'd consider returning, they owe each couple at least $12 for the BOGO coupons plus an apology for such poor order taking and billing service. Tried this place for food... not bowling. We heard the chef is amazing. So headed out there after golf. Went into the bar & got a delicious lemon drop martini by Leianne. What a trooper, she had to deal with a extremely rude man who refused to give her his ID. She handled it well & he went on his way. Jerk! She handled it all with a smile! To my surprise..... I just received a refund from Daffodil yesterday. A month and half later after I posted my original review.... but better late than never. Now in good faith my family will have to go back and bowl a few games. I wish this was never an issue due to my love for the sport, and hopefully the mechanic either has been relieved of his duties or has been talked to and has a new look on life. Really poor customer service! I came in Monday morning 930am to bowl with my 8 year old son. I was told they had no more reservations for the day and to come back at 3pm when they had open lanes for walk-ins only. We arrive back at the place at 255pm. Sat around for 5 minutes for someone to finally show up the front desk. I was asked "can you wait till 330pm I have high school girls coming in and I don't know how many lanes they'll need" and at this time there was well over 10 lanes available! I had somewhere to be at 4pm so I let him know I couldn't and he would not budge. Too bad it's the only bowling alley in town because it's so run down and the employees can care a less about new business. Never going back there again. read more

I have no idea why they would stick a 6th year old birthday party RIGHT next to the super serious, super annoyed league bowlers, they were very upset to be next to a kids bday..... Where to start? Burger not as ordered with grilled onions & Raw burger sent out after a 45min wait. Sent back & waited another 45 minutes. Received a burnt burger (see pic). Really? McDonalds does this without issue 1000's of time a day by 16 year olds. An hour and a half to get an order wrong seems absurd, but hey it's a new cook so that excuses the issues. There were a ton of kids inside and the parking lot was littered with beer cans. You know those kids are getting trashed and going in there on a Friday night. Not kid friendly. I mean it is if your looking to expose your kids to smoking, drinking and trouble. The place isn't exactly the best place for kids. Especially when adults are getting wasted during midnight bowl. ADULTS- The facility itself has alot of amenities and serves alcohol. Plus its open until two! Considering there aren't any decent places to kick back in Puyallup, I'd have to say that this is the place to be. We have been coming to this bowling alley for years and I can honestly say I thought it would get better with the new ownership but it has gotten worst. If you are not on league they could care less about you. You can only reserve online now by the hour so you cant use a senior discount and you can never pay by the game. Every time we pay by the hour we get put the end lane where nothing works right. So you spend a good portion of your hour getting help and resetting the pins. Seems like the gym takes more priority then the bowling. Good thing the restaurant and lounge still are great. Oh and the guy who works in the pro shop is great!! I would give the pro shop and the restaurant 5 stars! read more

Looking for another bowling alley to discover, I venture out to this spot tucked between Puyallup and Sumner. My first impression that held through is a solid 3.5. From the street, it looks like it was converted from a typical industrial warehouse years ago and they kept it simple with a paint job. Good parking up front and around the back. They have "no parking" signs on the exterior but didn't notice if they clarify customer only or other detail. Moving inside, it's very decent. To me, it actually kind of feels like a smaller Skyway Park Bowl that has fared just a bit better over the years in regards to preserving its bowling soul for not just families but also leagues and USBC/PBA professional events (which is impressive given the facility). There are lockers spread out for users. The entertainment is decent for families, including the 1 DDR game (which doesn't have a fan for those hardcore). I'm personally no longer interested in leagues but was quite happy to see the amount of information posted throughout for the active leagues and event schedules. It's pretty difficult finding good solid alleys near the city that accommodate more than family-style bowling. There are 2 bathrooms; 1 small 1 big (latter best for handicap folks). They definitely feel 'hood-ish coming off a bit stagnant, scuffed surfaces, no mirrors and dingy condom dispensers but usable and cleaning hands is good (hot/warm water, good soap, and paper towels) [minor note: please use natural soaps and not those anti-bacterial cleaners that kill off natural skin flora]. The Pro Shop looked great, as well. On to the bowling, it was very good compared to others I've been to. The lanes and scoring systems seem to be somewhat recent. The mid-late 90's-ish Brunswick equipment seemed to be in decent condition. Ball reactions appeared rather smooth, nothing too erratic or weird dry spots. The oil machine set aside faced front out which is better than the eye-sore bottom side. And one odd (funny) thing while typing my name is that the "D" key on lane 18 is broke, so instead of my usual "D4R3N" (haha) I just put "000" to go sleeper. Overall, great spot! I can see myself coming often if I lived 30 miles closer. It's a great area spot for many bowling needs. read more

So being that one person who could not bowl because of having big feet, I have not been able to bowl! I wear size 20 shoes! Well I have not had much bowling alley experience. I have to say the nostalgia of this place being a huge landmark for the puyallup area just makes you feel apart of that nostalgia. I bowl here for bowling league now that I have shoes. The food is not bad, I normally get the club sandwich, chicken strips or a burger with a side of jojos or mozzarella sticks. I do enjoy this place. You do feel at home.
