My wife and I decided to try Top Gun as we hadn't been there for a while. Always enjoyed the food so we each ordered a 220z beer (Hefeweisen for her and Modelo for me). We ordered the Nachos with ground beef and the Deli Sandwich with Pastrami and Cheddar Cheese and Tator Tots. Our waitress Sarah did a great job checking back on us and when the food came it looked great. Lots of Pastrami on the sandwich was very nice. Both dishes tasted great but our main gripe is the prices have gone way up. $21 for the sandwich and $20 for the Nachos. Plus each 22oz beer was $9.75. $9.75 for each beer! "Top Gun Bar" but only if you have the top check. Let me start by saying the boots on the ground employees are amazing. I loved interacting with them and having fun. But clearly this ownership does not give a F'u:c|K about their customers. Been coming here since they opened. They have frequently hosted private parties with very little to no advertising. These parties have reserved tables all over. Theres already no seating especially since a random pool table is in the middle of the bar. But you reserve half the bar hours in advance? Come on. Been to trivia night here for a long time with family, friends, and coworkers. The categories are usually trash so I go elsewhere but they do a bit of general trivia. Today I went to play general trivia as advertised on their Facebook calendar. The only place where its even advertised. Went in ordered a drink and food. There was way more people there. Standing room only. You literally couldnt order your food unless you wete shouting at 6 pm. The workers were amazing and doing their best. 7 o'clock rolls around and there is no mention of the trivia even being cancelled or anything posted on their door. My cousin looked it up on his phone "trivia cancelled" on Facebook, with no reason given. No updated calendar. So they got a reservation THAT DAY and decided no, we dont give a $H it about our customers and cancelled their event. On top of that, didnt advertise it except a measly fb post. Why post a monthly calendar if your going to change things in the 11th hour. I aint gunna follow a bar page like a degenerate. So either they got these reservations the day of and since the check is bigger decided to squat all over their usual customers, or they got it in earlier and didnt care enough about the usuals customers to announce it sooner. I couldnt even get out of my seat at the end. A dude spilled his beer on my shoulder. Whoever bday or whatever it was gave a two second speech. DO NOT plan to go here. Soon as they get a check, they gunna cancel without saying anything. Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah business business business blah blah blah. They have so many pull tabs to play, the service is great, the views are so amazing and such a good place to sit outside and watch the airplanes take off and land. We've always enjoyed going here. I ordered just a regular hamburger and tots, the tots were good and I'm a ranch snob and it's great ranch. The bbq pulled pork burger my husband got was full of shredded pork and bbq and so good. It was ok...I guess I was super hyped because my husband has been talking it up since it was called the "Hangar". The atmosphere was cute and had more "divey bar" vibes than anything else. Also, keep in mind kids aren't allowed in since it's a bar. The service was good, our server was very nice. Everything came out pretty quickly even though it was a pretty busy lunch hour. As far as the food, it was your typical bar food. Nothing fancy or spectacular there. We had a Reuben and a pizza. The star had to have been the pastrami on the Reuben. It wasn't too salty and was delicious. The pizza could have been cooked longer but it was still ok. My husband ordered a michelada (beer with tomato juice) and proceeded to ask and made sure to ask if they were able to make since it wasn't on the menu. They said yes but when it came out, it was essentially 22oz of Bloody Mary mix and pretty gross. That was the only "bad" part of the meal I'd say. Came here to meet a friend for lunch. The main door is on the right side of the building if you are looking at the front. Inside was clean. Restrooms were kept up. The space inside is very large with a few TVs as well as a large screen. Staff was very friendly. We decided to sit outside since it was a beautiful day. It was so cool to eat lunch while looking at the little planes take off. It does get loud every once in a while, but it didn't smell like gasoline at all. So that was great. I had the special which was crispy fish tacos. The fish tasted fresh and the breading was crunch and not soggy. The only thing I would have preferred was to have the sweet chili sauce on the side instead on on top....for me personally it was a little too sweet, so I would have preferred to control how much sauce was on the tacos. I heard this place went through a major facelift in 2020, but it looks great. I also heard they do live music. Food is decently priced. I live about a mile away from this bar and grill, and always smell the yummy food from Meridian on the days when the breeze is blowing just right, and always think "I got to try that place soon"...well flash forward 2 years and I finally made it in. And let me tell you..... YUM! I went on a Friday evening, the place had lots of patrons, yet the wait staff were spot on and super responsive. Also!!! Holy cow!!!! The portions are HUGE! I got a half order of Tachos and my golly I was so surprised I told the waitress "I thought I ordered a 1/2 order" to which she replied "you did, this is a half order". I went last night and was really unimpressed with the Choice of Comedians for the night. I've been to 3 other shows and every one of them were worth calling a Comedian and we tipped them well at the end of the night plus hung out. So last night The Guest Comedian Bruce Detore was the only one that had some descent material and did a good impersonation of Trump plus really was trying his best and very professional about connecting with the audience . All of the rest should be ashamed calling themselves a Comedian....because they really aren't. By the time John Gardner got about halfway through his set with nobody laughing with many Liberal and LGBT jokes that bombed. I noticed at least half of the crowd had left. It was a full house and I really wanted to give him a fair chance but by the end nobody even clapped. Then Adam Pasi the headliner went up. I couldn't even Stand to stay after 15 minutes of complete torture of him going off on tangents of being in Seattle rain and having to use an umbrella because of how gloomy it is here. Then he kept on repeating himself saying he can't stand the Smell of White people when it rains?! Im not so sure what he was trying to achieve with a House of mainly White folks.Of course he kept on trying to get the support of anyone of color but Seriously nobody was laughing . Then he started in on Women having abortions and just flat out Mocking them and very Deragotory especially when he cant even know what its like to be a Woman.This isn't something to take lightly or degrade women for "Their Choices". Is this what Top Gun is going to Showcase and Stand by? Please if you guys want to keep business you need to Vet these so called Comedians better! My daughter brought me to this adult-only restaurant at the Pierce County Airport in Puyallup. She bought me the $120 hamburger of my choice. Yes, $120, but it came with a 1/2 hour (total about an hour experience) from the Safety In Motion Flight Center across the parking lot. I ordered the Flight Burger with bacon and cheddar. Unfortunately, I ordered it medium well because most restaurants cook them medium when I order them this way. This time it was done medium well and a little too done. The fries were great as was the bacon. Next time (and there will be one) I will order it medium. My daughter and wife got the Taco Tuesday special and were very happy with their orders. They also had the 9 oz wines and felt that they were very generous pours. I had a rum and coke. Couldn't taste the rum in the first, but could by the second. The service was great. Service is as on par with most other restaurants on South Hill. Waters hit the table as soon as we sat down, menus and drink orders were taken within 30 seconds. Appetizers were there in about 10 minutes, and our food order was there within about 15 minutes of ordering. Beer refills were right on time, and we were attended every 10 minutes or so to make sure everything was ok. We both had the Maverick burger, cooked perfect, buns were nice and fresh with a buttery flavor. **NOTE: This is a 21 and over bar/restaurant for now, so leave the kiddies behind, it's not the Hangar Inn anymore folks. read more

This is a very popular place. The food is good Service is depending on the time of day. Being new they are working out the staffing needs. I was fortunate to have had tried the homemade potato chips. They were amazing and my burger was amazing. But they have stopped making the homemade potato chips. We were told the couldn't keep up with the demand, so they were discontinued. But, that was a few years ago. This place continues to try out new things in order to keep you coming back. The crew does a great job in getting to know the regular customers and treating the new ones like an old friend. This is hard to do in such a busy place.
