What a gem! The decor is simple and clean. The abundant, excellently prepared food is fresh and beautifully served by an attentive wait staff, who are available without being intrusive. When we ordered a beer we didn't care for they replaced it for free. Not being a sushi fan, I found a large variety of Asian dishes to choose from. I love this place! The vegetable jab chae is my favourite dish. Their basil veggie dish and bibimbap are also delicious. The service is pretty good, from what I experienced. My boyfriend and I once came in when they had ten minutes to close (we forgot what their hours were) and the owner of the restaurant served us personally because the chefs had already left. If you're friendly, and it helps to be a local, you will be treated very well. I definitely would recommend this place to others who enjoy Japanese, Thai, and Korean food. And on my son's birthday, they brought him the mochi ice cream and everyone in the restaurant sang happy birthday, which was very sweet. read more

If I am ever looking for a nice a nice meal and unique food I always come here. Sitting down and eating here has a great atmosphere normally quiet with the usual regulars and other foodies. I highly recommend the do bok gee (spicy rice cakes) and always get the thia iced tea and love the pad thia. Only Reason not giving 4 stars is because the of the take out is always stingy with the size definitely a better deal with sitting and eating there bigger portions but the food is always guaranteed good read more

Hi everyone, Just want to let you know about a recent experience. I orded a meal by phone at 8:30pm on Oct.16. when I arrived at 8:55 to pick up the meal everyone who worked there had their coats on and were read to leave. (election debates night) They handed me my order incomplete and charged me full price. This establishment closed earlier than advertised and screwed up my order. When I contacted them a few days later and requested a credit ..they refused. Upon further research about this business I have concluded that they don't care.... I went there again for the 4th time last week and the whole experience has gone downhill dramatically. After we got there we were put in the corner by the bathroom even though there were a lot of tables open by the front of the restaurant or near the window. They didn't give us water until 20 minutes after we've sat down, and just left us there! We waited around for another 25 minutes or so until a waitress finally came around to take our order. First of all we waited for a long time (like around 30ish minutes) until we asked about the food, and when it finally came, it was only lukewarm. We ordered 2 Korean dishes and a Japanese dish, but we didn't get any side dishes, and when asked had the audacity to tell us that they charge extra for a small plate of kimchi. The food was very watery and not flavorful, and the spiciness level was way lower than that of the expected. When the check came, it came to around $25 for each of us, and we didn't even get that much, or that good of, food. Definitely would not go again. There are WAY better Korean places around for much cheaper and better service. Would not recommend. read more

The food is okay and I have been before with a nice experience, however my recent visit was very unpleasant. I was by myself and in a hurry and my bill came to about $19. I paid with my card and signed the bill without leaving a tip because 1) I am from a country that does not tip at restaurants and 2) even though I am in the US and people tip here, I did not feel that the service merited one. When the owner saw that I didn't leave a tip, she returned the bill to me and told me I had to leave a tip and even told me that I had to leave $4. I just ordered a chicken teriyaki and some sushi to go....The services were fine. BIG DISAPPOINTMENT is all I can say. First off, they forgot to give me soy sauce for my sushi. Second, the menu described the chicken teriyaki as broiled chicken in special teriyaki sauce (ie was expecting slightly charred chicken as I had it before). I received a disgusting more like BOILED chicken in a very loose watery sauce, not slightly thick as you expect from good teriyaki.. The meal was more like cheap chinese chicken and some veggie thrown in. I am so NEVER come back to this place. The price were about average.. but you can get WAY BETTER meals in Natick (eg Oga's and Tenichi) and don't have to deal with this below quality meal. I'm not a big fan of pan-Asian restaurants, normally. Sure, you can do Korean and Japanese food and not screw up too terribly. I'm a little leery of places that try to Southeast Asian and East Asian. In this case, Dah-Mee does Thai, Korean, and Japanese. The menu is extensive with most of a page alone to appetizers and a whole pages for the different ethnic dishes. I guess there is something for everyone, as there were several tables of large groups the night we went. I stuck to the Korean side of the menu, though others in our party tried the "Thai" side of the menu. It peeves me that places will offer fried rice, or other items that are ubiquitous in Chinese-American eateries, under their Thai dishes. Service was slow (too many large groups on a Saturday night) - I had to get up to ask for the check and ask for a container for a friend's take home. If I'm ever in the Natick area again, I'd give them another try to see if their Thai dishes satisfy (or not!). That being said, I rarely go to Natick. read more

The service here was horrible. When I arrived, there was no one at the front to seat me, and I made eye contact with the server and she completely ignored the fact that I was standing there. I asked for a table for 2 while I waited for my boyfriend to arrive. She placed down the menu and walked away without saying anything, and then it took her a while to bring me a glass of water. She didn't even bother to ask if I wanted something else to drink or an appetizer while I waited. She went to the other 2 tables (it wasn't even busy) and every time she walked past my table she avoided eye contact and would not pay attention every time I tried to call her over to order an appetizer. I was getting very irritated at this point and after waving my hand and staring directly at her she came over and just stared at me. I decided to just order our meals since my boyfriend was outside parking his car and I could tell it was going to take forever to just ask her for one simple thing. So I ordered the Bibimpab for the both of us, and I asked for just a simple bibimbap, hoping she'd understand that I did not want the stone bowl. She came over with the plates and of course, it was in the stone bowl. So I told her I just wanted the plain cold version and she said she would just be moving what was in that bowl to another regular bowl. So I said fine, because I didn't want any more attitude. So I asked her if that would be okay to switch it over, and she ignored me and walked away. She came back with the food when my boyfriend arrived, and didn't say a word. She never came over to ask us how our food was or if we needed anything else. It was as if we were invisible to her. At the end of the meal, I walked up to her to ask her where the bathroom was and she gestured with her head and did not say a word. To make a long story short, because of the horrible service, she got the tip she deserved. And the bibimbap was alright. I've definately had muuuch better other places. They routinely bring out half the party's dinner, so some people have been served their food while the rest are waiting 10 more minutes for their meal! I have been here about 7 or 8 times and as always, I enjoyed a Delicious dinner. Had the shrimp and tofu with vegetables. Shrimp was cooked perfectly. Sauce was tasty but not overpowering. Food came out quickly and was hot. All ingredients were so fresh. I've ordered pad Thai, red snapper and sushi here in the past and always been delighted with my food. The menu here is varied with a range of choices to satisfy everyone's palate. Atmosphere is very calming. Even if it's full crowd, it's never loud. Meh. That says it all. I had chicken dumplings with no filling and no taste to start. Even more strange was the fact that the same dumplings came floating in my friends wonton soup. I am 100 percent positive they are just frozen product they order and charge 7 bucks for. My entree was bibimbap which actually was really good. The service was awful. She was incredibly rude. They also need to learn to time a meal. I hate being with my friends and having each dish brought out 5 minutes apart. One persons sushi came so late that we had all finished eating and were trying to flag down the waitress when the owner plopped it on the table. No explanation given for why it took so long. We then waited for about 20 minutes for anyone to come back to the table as we sat surrounded by 3 courses of dirty dishes. We went here on a weekday lunch. The decor was nice and food presentation also very good. We got their lunch specials - mine came with beef, rice and chef's choice selections which contained sushi, noodles, and also came with a salad and miso soup. For the portion/price ratio, I felt like I could have gotten something a bit better, but I also can't complain - the food was very well prepared and fresh-tasting. They didn't have any fresh summer rolls though, which I feel was very much lacking, though I probably shouldn't expect that from Korean/Japanese restaurant. Consistently the shashimi has been awful... even our dog would not eat it. We'd stopped going there over a year ago and tonight we tried them again. Dah Mee really exceeded my expectations! We had an array of appetizers and all were fabulous. The presentation of the avocado salad was very impressive, and it tasted even better than it looked! Seaweed salad- super. Golden bags were AMAZING. Mandoo (dumplings) were soooo tasty. When half the group wanted steamed and half the group wanted fried, the waitress offered to make the order half and half. I didn't even think that would be an option. I enjoy a place that's willing to go through extra effort to please customers. The Siam fried rice is not to be missed. Yes, this is a three-star review, but don't let that fool you - this is a ROCK SOLID three stars. If you are looking for a hot meal on a cold day, the Bi-bim-bab here may not scream "originality," but it does scream, "down home and tasty Korean cuisine." I've eaten here regularly for three years, often with Korean-speaking friends, and they agree that this place hits the nail on the head when it comes to good Korean eats. I've never tried the sushi, so I can't comment on that, but I did try a Pad-Thai once. The Thai and other Asian food is fair-to-middlin' and nothing to write home about. Doesn't really matter to me, though, as the Bi-bim-bab is so darned tasty that I just can't bring myself to order anything else every time I go there. The first time we went here, we ate out for lunch and I ordered the clear noodles with beef (I don't remember the actual name). I loved them, and couldn't wait to return. Unfortunately, my second visit was not even close to being as good as the first. I wasn't that hungry, so I ordered the Hawaiian salad. The owner stated they didn't have Hawaiian salad, so I ordered the avocado salad with chicken and no mayo. Apparently they "couldn't do chicken and no mayo", so I had to have peanut sauce as the best possible protein on the salad. Honestly, I just wanted my food, so I relented. The food came. Steamed vegetables bland, unseasoned chicken breast in one container. Thick, sickeningly sweet peanut sauce in another. And in the last one? The "avocado" part of the avocado salad. It looked like puke, not kidding. INEDIBLE. The excellent first experience is the only reason why this place isn't getting totally panned. read more

Wow, I am surprised at some of the low ratings...but Dah Mee has quite a big menu. In my opinion, you get a nice meal for the price range. My husband went there and liked it and kept convincing me to go but I had read the ratings on Yelp and kept resisting. I loved it. I had the spicy tuna roll and snow crab california roll and they were great. The wasabi was spicy and the flavor was nice. I had some of my husband's mango curry which was also delish. They served brown rice with the curry, which is a plus in my book. We had an appetizer of golden triangles which were fried spring rolls...they were tasty and had a nice ginger flavor. We live in Natick, and the dinner service was fast, we didn't need reservations, the place was clean and nicely decorated and the food was pretty good for the price. Although I used to enjoy the food, I am not going back because they obviously don't care if they alienate their customers. This restaurant is a gem to have close by. It is one of our "go to" places for a quick meal out. A couple recent reviews complained about slow service. In the 10 years we have been going to Dah Me, we have had slow service on one night, when they were really busy. We, of course, have our favorites and have not sampled the whole menu. The Dah Me duck is a favorite as is the Ok Dol Bi Bim Bob. I have also have had several of the curry dishes. The sushi is also quite good. My son's almost always get the Beef Bul Goki and they love it. Dah Mee is not a high end restaurant, but is an extremely good value and the restaurant in Natick we would miss most if it ever closed. read more

Had a bad experience here a couple of years ago when I ordered take-out. When I got home I realized they didn't supply the side sauce. When I contacted them the next day to ask for a some sort of credit they refused. 2 years later I decided to try them again. Ordered a couple of apps. I'm not surprised to report that they were awful! They are serving frozen apps with good sauces. in my opinion this place just doesn't care anymore. read more
