This place is seriously awesome. I'm definitely a coffee snob, and know high quality when I taste it. I've had the cold brew, nitro brew, and an iced latte. All 3 were wonderful. We usually meet family there, and they all agree on the quality. Our Niece and Nephew love the smoothies. The cookies, brownies, and quiche were also a big hit. Seriously, the nitro brew is fantastic.... The people who helped us were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is laid back and modern. There's plenty of room to sit, and it would be a great place to work or study. They definitely deserve all the five star reviews. I have to say, this place is my top destination for coffee, breakfast snacks, and study sessions. From the moment you enter, they impress. The staff is wonderfully knowledgeable and helpful for those who don't have enough knowledge to feel confident ordering a drink of their liking. Being a more seasoned coffee person, I enjoy their vast selection of cold offerings as well as their pour over coffee. Now that I'm in grad school, I enjoy their atmosphere for writing my papers, meeting up for group projects, and interviewing local candidates for research. It is the perfect blend of quiet and lively; never getting too loud to accomplish what I need to do. My typical order consists of 1 of 2 items. I either get their cold brew or their pour over medium/dark roast in a chemex. The cold brew is a perfect balance of dark caramel notes and lighter fruit flavors. When you combine it with their Honey and non-dairy creamer, it's the perfect marriage. The pour over changes daily and their flavor of the day has yet to disappoint. Again, combined with the honey and non-dairy creamer, it's fantastic. My wife and I love this place not just for their hot and cold offerings, but also for their selection of whole bean coffee. They only sell local Chicago-owned roasters. We've been exposed to many different great places that have encouraged us to search out their locals in the city! A great learning experience as well. Lastly, they are very educational. I went in asking for help establishing my own cold brew over the warm months and the owner himself helped me select three roasts that would blend perfectly for my own personal cold brew. He also helped me select the proper bur grinder as well as filtration system. Very helpful! There will be another update in a couple of months. My wife works for a fairtrade Jewelry company called Noonday. She hopes to host a party there so I will be sure to update once that happens. read more

I'm was glad to see a local (non Starbucks) coffee shop in the area, and on my very first visit, I could not have been more impressed. Had a chance to meet both of the owners. They are really nice people and are very committed to this community. They also know A LOT about coffee and you can tell they're into getting all of the details right. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn about their passion for "clean" food. The sandwiches we had were AMAZING with homemade ingredients. I can't say enough good things about this place. Daily Projects is a coffee shop right if the city located in a small suburb! The have a hip interior with lots of cool art work and tons of seating! They have free WiFi and lots of plugs for lap tops and chargers! The owners are friendly and talk to their customers often. They expanded their menu and have a breakfast menu until 11am. My first time coming here and I really had high hopes. Within a mile radius there are at least 3 other coffee shops and I jumped at the chance to give my money to a non-chain. My party ordered 3 drinks. We explained it was our first time and just needed a little guidance with our transition from our usual coffee chains. One question I had was what were the sugar free options.. To my surprise there are no sugar free options with the exception of "lavender" which was amusing to me as I never knew lavender had sugar. I digress.. Our requests seemed to make the young lady uncomfortable so 2 of us ordered right off the menu. A strawberry banana smoothie and a banana bread cinnamon latte. Now our third guest after running a few ideas (first he requested 3 shots of espresso over ice with mocha and milk, but she was hesitant) so he asked if they had an iced coffee with mocha flavor with a shot of espresso. She said that would essentially a latte with a shot and mocha and she can do it. Eureka! We have placed our first order.. and off she goes to make the drinks. First up, the strawberry banana smoothie.. I tried it and it was amazingly delicious! If we had just ordered the smoothie this would be a 5 star review for sure. Then, with some friendly back and forth Q&A the "mocha iced coffee" is served.. I got to try that one and I was highly dissatisfied.. all you could taste was milk.. no coffee, express, or mocha.. Suddenly, the barista disappears Into the back room.. A small handful of customers after us are getting served but no banana bread cinnamon latte. I step back up to the counter and ask the other young lady and she kindly offered to make it for me.. but I wasn't sure where the first lady disappeared to. Maybe she went off to bake the banana bread to infuse into the coffee or ground the cinnamon fresh and I would feel awful for creating duplicate work.. So at my request, the other girl goes into the back room and comes back out and says she will now be making my drink.. Well that's nice.. I wonder how that would go down at a restaurant? Halfway through your meal, the wait staff goes rogue. Not great customer service. Regardless, I finally get my drink and while it wasnt as bad as the "mocha latte", it left much to be desired. My experience was easily going to be 1 star, but as I got into my car I realized I tried a coffee shop on a Sunday... at 6 o'clock at night.... So maybe this is a shame on me moment. Wow. Just wow! The family and I ate lunch here a mere three days ago, and I'm already craving more. Allow me to describe the deliciousness. We ordered the following three sandwiches and requested they be cut into fourths to be able to share between all of us. 1) Three grilled cheese sandwich - Take-my-breath-away good. This one was supposed to be mostly for the two kids, but I wanted more than my measly little fourth. The online menu says it contains "Cheddar, swiss and havarti" but I'm almost sure they replaced one of those with brie. It was one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches of my life. I need to up my game back home. 2) Goat cheese and avocado sandwich - This one offers the most amazing combination of goat cheese and avocado (obvi) along with tomatoes, arugula, cilantro, lemon and fabulous pickled onions. 3) Smoked turkey club - Another total winner with turkey, avocado, BACON, swiss, sprouts, tomato, pickled onions and garlic. I'm not even a big turkey gal, but this sandwich was spot on. The sandwiches came with a choice of a lovely, lemony side salad or artisan potato chips (not made in house, but still great). The sandwich bread was also above par. While I am rarely in this area, I would absolutely take a special trip to try out more of the menu. What an amazing spot! It was our first time here and we were blown away by the place. The decor is clean and comfortable with plenty of natural light and clean lines. An abundance of seating, free wifi and outlets at every station only add to the functionality of the place. Now let's talk food.....Incredible. Daily Projects clearly did their research to find the perfect fresh ingredients for all of their dishes. The Avocado toast and Caprese toasts were to die for and very generous portions considering they were on their "snack menu." The Italian sandwich with their homemade giardiniera was a perfect balance of flavors. The ham and cheese sandwich and turkey club were out of this world too. You just can't go wrong. And for the coffee....they serve Intelligentsia! For someone who lived in Italy for years and had an authentic cappuccino everyday, this one was fabulous and took me right back to the Italian cafes I often miss. Strong, but not bitter...no sweeteners needed! You won't want to miss the Vanilla Cold Brew on a hot day or the very refreshing Watermelon Dew drink. Both had great flavor. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable and provided quick service. Needless to say, we'll be back! Out of all the new coffee shops that open in the burbs/city and try to be something different, Daily Projects truly succeeded. You won't be disappointed. I highly recommend it! read more

Nice place and friendly staff. We had the Quesadilla and the Everything Turkey Bagel with Royal Milk Tea to drink. The quesadilla was pretty good but the bagel was a bit hard to to swallow. The taste was good but it was somewhat dry and definitely too over-toasted. I ended up eating the fillings with a fork and left the bagel part (it was so tough that I could barely bite it off without hurting my gum ). The milktea was good for my hubby since he has quite the sweet tooth by it was way too sweet for my taste. Perhaps offering a sugar/sweetness level option at order would be nice. read more

I came back to this place again and there were a lot more choices than last time I was there! Grilled cheese was very yummy with plenty of cheese in it. Strawberry lemonade was still great and their new Thai tea was amazing! It is little different than the traditinal thai tea, but I liked it a lot. In my toast, you're all I AVO wanted!!! The pico de avo toast was superb! The owner (I want to say he was at least) came up to me just to tell me they were currently boiling the egg to it's perfection hence for the few minutes delay! Amazing customer service! The flamingo cooler was overall pretty good. It has ginger in it so if you're not a fan, don't get it because you can definitely taste the ginger. I'm a chronic over-orderer of Chai Tea Lattes, so I decided to branch out on this occasion and get the Matcha variety. Warm, satisfying, creamy & tasty. Once again, perfect start to my day! There was plenty of seating, but my only complaint is that for someone coming to try to kill a lot of time (like myself) or to get some work done, I would like to have some more comfortable seating options. Parking can be a little tricky especially with nearby construction but that's not on them and is more of an FYI. This place used to be my absolute favorite coffee placce. Or even just for a good lunch. Sadly thE last few times I went, they were just so disappointed. Last time I was their I ordered their breakfast sandwich which used to be insanely delicious and jt was lackluster. At this visit I also got a smooth ( the banana chi one don't remember them name) and it was or retry good! Today when j went I ordered the avocado toast. And for $9 I would of expected so much more than what I got. The toast tasted as if it was sitting out for a day before being used. I get when you toast a piece of bread it will make it firmer but this wass not the same. The avocado was deff not ripe and ready for eating. The egg was cooked well but had zero seasoning on it. The whole thing was super underwhelming. I got there berry banana smoothie and that is what is saving this place is that was super tasty. Sadly I don't think I wIll be going for food here. read more

Ordered hot chocolate, and they could not froth the milk to make it hot. After sending it back and getting a second cup of lukewarm, I gave up. This place is so cute! On a sunny day, the cafe gets so much sunlight. It's a pretty big spot for a cafe. The ladies working here were all friendly and helpful since it was my first time trying out this spot. I got a goat cheese & avocado sandwich with a side salad to go. I also got a nutella latte with soy. The sandwich was really light and refreshing. The salad had a light olive oil based dressing which went perfectly with the sandwich. The latte didn't really taste like nutella but it was still okay. They had breakfast sandwiches options too since I was there in the morning but I was fixated on the goat cheese & avocado. This is my favorite coffee place in the area and whenever I come home from college, I look forward to coming here. Although, the past couple visits I've had here have been so disappointing. This used to be my favorite drink, but the quality of the carmel has changed, I guess? The carmel is just crystals all throughout the drink, and doesn't mix into it, so every sip is filled with gross particles (what's all over the sides of the cup is what's floating throughout the drink.) I had to throw away the coffee both times. I really hope it gets changed because I miss it being drinkable! read more

I've been here a few times now just to give them a fair review. Let's start by saying the coffee and teas are good. The service is quick, but not overly friendly. The people working there often have an attitude, like you are bothering them if you ask for something. I ordered an iced coffee with cream, and they filled it completely to the top, leaving no room to add the half and half, which I had to ask for. I was told rudely, "it's on the counter" (it wasn't) and then seeing it wasn't there, she reached under the counter and smacked down an almost empty container of Walmart brand half and half in front of me and walked away. Luckily there was hardly anything left in the carton because I had no room to pour it into the cup anyway. If they are going to feel too much pressure to give people creamer then maybe have it in a carafe on the counter with the utensils like other coffee places do. I know it's a busy location but there's no drive thru, the dining room is not super clean when it's busier, and honestly there is no good reason to stop here instead of the million other coffee shops around. read more
