I got the vanilla iced latte decaf and i'd give it 7/10, the flavoring was a little off but was still enjoyable. Food wise we got french toast 5/10, bacon 7/10 and a bruschetta wrap 7/10 there was a lot of the balsamic, fries 10/10. French toast just didn't have much flavor and it seemed like just a cinnamon slice of bread. Wasn't giving much french toast vibes like with a brioche piece of bread. I had breakfast here on a Wednesday and Saturday morning. Both times were peaceful, quiet, and relaxing. I enjoyed the service and my order was ready in a fair amount of time. I first had the veggie bliss omelette and the berry bliss pancakes. The omelette was satisfying and the berry bliss pancakes stood out on their own. The fruit and sweet glaze did not require any additional syrup and made for some delicious pancakes. I liked the barbacoa skillet the second time around. I think the meat could have had a little more seasoning , but the side of sour cream and picante sauce helped bring more flavor to the skillet. This time I had plain pancakes and they were no were as good as the berry bliss! Triple Berry is a solid breakfast spot for some good eats. read more

It's nice to have a new choice in breakfast restaurants nearby. Triple Berry has been open just 3-4 months and we got there yesterday. Seated quickly the table service was flawless. Family and I's first time here - tried this past Sunday around 1pm. 3 of us were seated right away, and there was a decent amount of people there, not too many. Ambiance: It's not a huge place but big enough to space tables from each other. Decor is very nice and has bright colors to bring everything together nicely and it's clean. Service: Everyone was very nice, attentive, and patient. We had a table of 3 initially but had someone join later on near closing time around 150pm (it closes at 230pm), but our late addition was never rushed to finish his food while the employees cleaned around us. We still managed to leave before another table before closing anyway, but we appreciate the staff's patience. Food: The menu size is good, and it has a good amount of options to choose from. I ordered the Carnivore skillet with biscuits and gravy on the side (not extra cost, you can choose it amongst other items under the Omeletts and Skillets section). Portion and presentation are good, and everything tasted decent (not much seasoning despite having bacon and ham in it, so I added bit more salt, pepper, and Chalula sauce). My family all ordered other skillets with different sides - they all shared the same opinion about needing more seasoning. Overall, everything was decent - the value, experience, and price were good. It's not much different than other brunch places I've been to, but I'm willing to go back and try other dishes. It is worth trying if you're in the area and want to eat brunch. read more

Great lunch at Triple Berry Cafe today. My husband ordered the rice bowl with carnitas. He said it was delicious. I have a lot of food sensitivities. The waitress very patient as I asked about ingredients in several dishes, going back to the kitchen to ask them about a couple of things. I got eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast. Next time I might try the bowl minus a couple of ingredients. Clean, bright and pleasant atmosphere. Quiet. Menu with simple fare and several creative options. Food was good. They have an OBVIOUS bug problem. Gnats continued to fly around us throughout the entirety of our time there. Food was okay. Had all plastic, food did not stay warm due to that. I went to breakfast a few weeks ago with a friend that was visiting from out of state. I had never been here before and I thought that since it had pretty decent reviews, it would be worth a try. All I can say was that it was excellent from the hostess to the server to the food. It was fantastic all the way around. Delicious, fast, and priced accordingly, I would tell anyone to give TBC a try! The only problem that I could see is that the size of the place is relatively small. Super fast and delicious. Rice bowl with barbacoa was amazing. Really flavorful meat. Kid had a patty melt that he ate every bite of and didn't want to share. Me and my girlfriend decided to have our brunch here before heading to run some errands. There's ample of parking outside and it was easy to find. Both exterior and interior was clean. We got seated right away. Got the menus and waters too. She got a crepè while I got a waffle. It was nothing special. She also got an orange juice. It was a quick brunch really. Triple Berry Cafe is my favorite! We have been regular diners there almost since their opening which was shortly before Covid hit. I started ordering take out homemade soups by the quart. When things opened up we started going to the restaurant. Our active neighborhood has the men's group having breakfast there every other week. The book club meets there regularly. I have told anyone that will listen how much I like pretty much everything about Triple Berry. You can always get the regular breakfast fare but I enjoy some of their specialties, which usually include berries! Crepes are great also. Soups all homemade, one specialty a day. I am assuming that the Elgin location meets all the expectations of the Crystal Lake restaurant. Give it a try, maybe I will see you there, :-) read more

I'm a big fan of their original location in Crystal Lake, so I was curious how this new location would compare. I tried this new location recently and found it to be just as great as the original! I think they use high quality ingredients, because I've never had bacon or sausage taste this good at a restaurant before. The eggs are always perfectly done, and the portion sizes are large. They had an unusual soup of the day called Cream of Cheeseburger. It sounds as if it would be gross, but it's actually tasty! It tasted like a rich, cream of chicken soup with chunks of cheeseburger in it, instead of chicken. Again, it sounds weird, but it was delicious! I highly recommend this place! read more
