Ultimately all the reviews led me to Tattoo Me Charlotte. My first I worked with Sami to craft up the perfect tribute to my two kiddos, and my baby that never was. It incorporated their nicknames in a beautiful way that I get compliments on all the time with a mix of flowers, bees, and watercolors. My second was on a whim with my husband after celebrating our 8th anniversary. My husband has also gotten two tattoos here as well that are stunning. His Starry Night one other shops didn't think was possible, but Stacy crushed it. The location is clean, the artists are all so fun and dedicated to their craft, and all around the vibe is perfect. Only wish that some of the artists would do more back and forth prior to the appointment to nail down the design draft rather than while you're in the shop - would cut down on the wait time, especially if there is a lot of initial back and forth.

Each staff member that I encountered seemed pleasant and welcoming I had the same artist both times (Y.C.). He was very polite and took the time to explain the cons of getting tatts on certain areas as well as helping me to figure what colors would work with the designs I wanted. One of my pieces required two sessions, lasting about 2 hrs each time. He was very considerate: ensured I was comfortable, checked to see how I was doing and offered breaks during the process. The shop is located within a plaza of other businesses so parking is ample. It is cash-only with an on-site ATM as well as one in the parking lot. My only gripe is the cash-only policy,but guess it's not a big deal if you know prior to arrival (in case you don't want to use the lobby ATM). My tattoos turned out great! I definitely would recommend this shop/visit again).

I proceed to go through the worst tattooing experience and tattoo i have. For reference I HAVE 13+. The owner proceeds to make me sit in his chair for an extra 20 minutes after asking for him to take a break or to finish it up on another date as the pain was horrible. He continues to tattoo me after seeing i was sweating and flinching at the pain and after i said to stop. Just to "finish" the tattoo because "he wanted to". And whatever wasn't able to get a great look at my tattoo as i felt i was already disrespected and knew i didn't want to come back after. And once I got home I decided to take a peak at what he gave me. And let me tell you it's awful. The lines are so curvy and half assed it's insane. He proceeds to tell me later in a phone call it's because "he wasn't done shading" I have multiple other just linework tattoos and i've never seen or have lines this terrible. I call to ask for a refund and thankfully was given one but the attitude that came from me being disappointed what i'm permanently left with was actually embarrassing and outrageous. Please don't get a tattoo from here. Love his apprentice but the old guy needs to really sit back and care about what his canvas is saying and wanting rather than trying to seem impressive. But yes thank you for giving me my first tattoo at 21 i have to eventually soon get redone because of how terrible it is

We showed her the reference photo, she asked where we wanted them and a few more questions to make sure we were on the same page. She drew up the design and brought the template to make sure it was the correct size, etc. It was perfect and exactly what we were looking for. Jamison came over and asked a few questions regarding shading/dotting too. They were able to do our tattoos at the same time. Even with two different artists they came out nearly identical! I was in tonight to get my industrial pierced. I don't know who the man is who pierced me but he…read morewas shaking uncontrollably from the moment I got to his table. He spent over 40 minutes marking up my ear to find proper placement. The entire time he was shaking, he would erase a mark he made and continue to do the same thing over and over again. He told me to lay down on the wrong side the piercing was supposed to be on. I told him that was the wrong side and he replied "oh yeah duh I forgot". He wasn't making sense with his vocabulary. I was very scared and that's coming from someone who has had many piercings and tattoos from your establishment. He finally got around to piercing the top part of the industrial, and he then walked away from the needle still visibly in my ear to then mark the second hole which took him another 5 or so minutes. I knew something wasn't right. I thought he was done with the entire piercing to be honest. Turns out he was no where near being finished. My friend got up to look and there was a huge pool of blood on the table under my head and coated in my hair. He then proceeded to say he needed to try again with the piercing. I was confused as to what this meant. I then asked if he was going to re pierce a second hole and he became confused and argumentative. He said he needed to re angle it. I was shaking and felt very nauseous. I asked him to please stop the service and he got more argumentative. I was so uncomfortable and quite frankly, traumatized. I ended up leaving with my entire ear bandaged up. This is completely unacceptable that you would have someone that inexperienced and rude working there. It's a a complete safety concern for all other at this establishment. Also, there were no wavers signed and zero accountability for his actions. He was very cold and seemed like he was on something. I am going to let people know, not to come here for their safety. I would like an apology. His apology and I quote was..."I'm sorry bro, but it happens"... I am completely traumatized. This is what I sent to their IG and have not heard anything back. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! They obviously don't care about the safety of their clients
