Yes, that's the Empire State Bldg

I came for a cocktail and truth be told I heard it has an excellent view of the Empire State Building. And guess what? It has an EXCELLENT view of the Empire State. Would go back for that every time. The cocktail was good, the ambience okay, but the view is fantastic.

BEWARE HIDDEN CREDIT CARD FEES AND AUTO TIPPING Came here with a friend for drinks after work and really liked the space -- great views of the city, nice hotel bar feeling but not super crowded and got seats at the bar immediately. The bartender was quick and attentive to us, and we got two cocktails off their cocktail menu that were both fine but very sweet and $19 each, which felt a little high but I guess that's just life now. The reason I'm giving 2 stars is the payment system. They make you "pay with a QR code," which adds a $3 fee to your check!! They don't even warn you or offer you an alternative. Also there was an automatic 20% tip on our check (for two people....) which they didn't flag, so when you go to pay it forces you to leave an additional 2-5% tip ON TOP of the automatic 20% that was forcefully added. It took me several very annoyed minutes to figure out how to NOT give an additional tip, but the $3 fee was non-negotiable. Absolutely ridiculous, avoid until they figure this system out and don't pass fees onto the customer.

Came to the Daintree for happy hour and it did not disappoint! The view is fantastic and the ambiance is great for a post work drink or a date. The lights are low, the drinks are good and small plates delish.

Really nice rooftop bar, great for winter as it's all indoors with floor to ceiling glass. The HH prices are excellent, and the dip set is heaven.

The happy hour here is such an amazing deal. The staff are super friendly and very accommodating - we wanted to switch tables and they were super willing to do that for us. The views and the vibes were very classy and high-end, yet the drinks were extremely affordable! They give you the yummiest popcorn to snack on too. Daintree has quickly become one of my go-to spots for happy hour with the girls! Definitely make a reservation before coming in though.

Cute rooftop bar with a great view of the Empire State Building + downtown. Was expecting it to be open air though. Drinks were yummy.

I went even though I was already very full from dinner, and it was still delicious. The rooftop was a bit dim, but the atmosphere was fantastic. It's a highly recommended spot for a first date, and the Ricotta Bruschetta was especially good.

Drinks are on pint, service was great, staff were warm and welcoming, the ambiance was refreshing and the killer view of the Empire State Building both from indoors or the open roof top is the cherry on top! I'd definitely go again.

The ambiance and music here were 10/10! The espresso martini in my opinion could have been a little bit sweeter. But all in all, the food was amazing ! & the views of the Empire State Building are truly unmatched. The service was ok, it would take a lil while for our server to check in on us periodically.

One of the best rooftop spots I've been to in awhile. Great drinks, beautiful view that is both indoor and outdoor. Service is good and they have HH every day (even weekends) until 6.

Had a nice time at Daintree! There decor is very cute and the staff is friendly. The view is nice although I think there are better NYC rooftops if you're really looking for a view. The happy hour had some cocktails and bites, so we had the blood orange mule and hummus plate. Really enjoyed the mule - it was flavorful without being too sweet. Then had the Ms Cosmopolitan, which was too sweet for me although if you like sweet drinks you might like it. The hummus plate was standard. They give a free bowl of seaweed popcorn, which was nice. Music was a bit loud, so keep in mind if you're on a date or looking to have an intimate conversation. Otherwise a nice place to check out!

We came here upon staying at our hotel. We were told since we didn't have reservations we could only stay an hour. We were seated and then served regular water. Also, we ordered a bottle of sparkling water. Then we started our food and drink orders. The wings are must here. Be warned for mocktails they don't give you as much as ordering with alcohol. We all noticed that while drinking. It's weird. It's the reason for 3 stars drinks are not equal. There are high ceiling and views are exceptionally good.

Stopped by here on a weeknight and it was fairly busy. Would recommend making a reservation if possible especially if you have a larger group. They were able to accommodate since I was just a party of two. The rooftop is located on the top of a hotel, which also has a cute bar area on the street level that I've also grabbed drinks at the first time I was here when they didn't have availability. There's two areas once you get off the elevator to sit at. There's the front area that has floor to ceiling windows and offers a wonderful view of the city. The other is the back area with the bar, which was still a lovely place just didn't have as nice views. They no longer have the $12 special with 6 oysters and a drink sadly - they just have happy hour from 4-6pm and 11-close. It's a decent happy hour for NYC as prices for cocktails are around $10-$11. We also ordered fries ($8) which came with a brown garlic aioli dipping sauce, and was good to snack on. Overall a cute spot to bring friends visiting nyc or stop by for happy hour!

We jumped over to the bar right beside and drank some girly drinks before getting the notification our table was ready. As with nearly every establishment in NYC, it is very close quarters in paradise lost. We stood at a table while waiting for seats at the bar to become available. Which, we didn't mind. I could see how this might be a little harder to get a seat for a bigger group if you aren't there before 6. It seemed that once a group got a big table, they camped out. The drinks were strong and creative. Friendly bartenders, good music, and yummy options for bar snacks. Also, the bathroom is a nice touch. Given the hell theming for the bar, the bathroom is a 180 and while using the Lou, you can listen to the bible being recited. Theres also a spooky surprise if you press the button in the bathroom. Speaking of the bathroom, it is at the bottom of some decently narrow stairs. So, try and stay sober enough for stairs or you may fall. Go to this bar. You will have fun.

That's a good thing to be very strong for that price I'm paying. The spam musubi was also a rip-off. You see two here, but each one costs its own $10, so save your money. Eat somewhere else. We opted to sit at the bar but there are tables to the left of the bar and a large sitting room to the left. The staff is very attentive and you will interact with them more than the bartender. We started off by ordering the Welcome Drink which is a bit if an aperitif and "gets your palette" so to speak. It was light, fruity, and a nice way to start the night. My first drink was the Adulting and they present it with a spritz if irange blossom. It is definitely a sipping drink due to the 14yr Balvenie. My second drink, Omija, was a lighter drink comparatively. The clarified yogurt gave it a bit of sweetness most Yakult drinkers are familiar with. My partner had both the 5th Ave and Iced Latte. Fair warning on the latte as the oat milk topping has a bit of a jelly consistency. It wasnt unpleasant but was a bit if a surprise when we went for an initial sip. Overall the Upstairs gives a very pampered and sophisticated feel that coordinates with the dining downstairs.

Absolutely awful experience. Never again. Do NOT recommend…read more One of the staff, in charge of refilling water, spilled water on our table multiple times. I watched him spill on other tables as well. He never apologized. He never wiped it up. Then 4th time he filled our glasses, he spilled the water on my wife. He did not apologize. He did not even acknowledge it and it was very clear that he noticed he did it. My wife, quite restrained, let our waitress know what happened. Her response: "What do you want me to do about it?" My wife said that he should not serving water if he doesn't know how to pour it properly. The waitress, moments later, told him what we had said, merely inches from our tables. Beyond awkward. And, instead of coming over and apologizing, he simply never returned to our table. No more water. The waitress had an attitude with us since we sat down - no idea what we could have done - unsure what was going on - but it was beyond unpleasant. Most of our "table conversation" was about how lousy the staff were acting and how uncomfortable we felt along with how much we couldn't wait to leave. We had shared an appetizer and had no interest in ordering anything else after that. We paid. We left. I feel stupid for tipping them.
