This place is always on point. I never miss the opportunity to stop in here when I am traveling which is usually at least once a year. The burgers are amazing, the fries and tarot tots are great, the fried pickles are great, the foot long coney is great and who doesn't enjoy some blue bell ice cream after dinner and a long drive. The place is always clean and the staff are always super friendly. The menu is huge and so far I have only had the burgers and foot long but I am thinking next time I will try the chicken fried steak. I will let you know when I do. My kind of breakfast joint! We stopped here on a snowy morning just after Christmas. It was early in the morning but the kitchen was fired up and ready to go. I definitely over-ordered by asking for a sausage biscuit AND biscuit and gravy. I was expecting a portion of biscuit and gravy akin to that at Hardee's, but the Dairy Palace's version has TWO biscuits generously heaped with white sawmill gravy. Very, very good biscuit and gravy - one of the best I've had at a fast food restaurant! We ordered our food to go and the biscuit and gravy came in one of those disposable pans the same way the Tex-Mex places send out their to-go orders. I was also impressed with the sausage biscuit because, well, it tasted different than almost every sausage biscuit I've had at this kind of place. Just like the biscuit and gravy, the biscuit on the sausage biscuit was very fluffy and good, and the sausage patty was large and not nearly as greasy as those nasty sausage patties at McDonald's, Burger King, Steak-N-Shake, etc. I will say one of my dining partners ordered a breakfast burrito that I thought was undersized for the price. Speaking of prices, they are a bit higher than you will find at a McD's for breakfast, but they are within in reason, maybe $5-7 per person. All-in-all, this is a can't miss place for breakfast (which I believe they serve at all hours). This is a restaurant in the classic style of Interstate-stop-off as part of the Great American Roadtrip. I stayed nearby at a resort and decided to try this place out. I had been years ago before during trade days and it was a nightmare with traffic! This go round, I made sure to avoid the trade days weekend and the service was much better. We visited 3x while in town (don't you judge me) and I thought that the burgers were good. Tasted homemade. I got breakfast one morning and was pleasantly surprised with the pancakes. The biscuits were huge and fluffy and the staff was friendly. I will definitely return to try other items on the menu but I cannot lie. The lines that I see on trade day weekends are a bit much for me. I like to stop here when I'm heading to East Texas. Their burgers are definitely their specialty, but since I had a steak the night before, I opted for the much healthier chicken basket. :P I went through the drive -thru and the wait for my food wasn't too bad at all considering it was a Friday evening. From the time I ordered to the time they dropped it off at my car window, it was approximately 8-10 minutes. The chicken strips and fries were alright; unfortunately, they didn't include the white country gravy!!!! So, I had to eat my strips with the ketchup they included for the fries...disappointing! Eating chicken with ketchup is a no-no to me, but the meal was too dry without a dipping sauce. I would have given this place 4 stars, but the meal was Dairy-Queenish and badly needed the white gravy to salvage the somewhat dry strips. I've been to going to First Monday Trade Days in Canton for many years, never had the chance to check out The Dairy Palace until 2 days ago. Boy are their burgers good! We were greeted by a sweet young lady, she was very knowledgeable of the menu and recommended certain things that weren't on the menu since I told her we were first timers. My husband and I got the 1/3 lbs burger, curly fries for me and regular cut fries for my husband. We enjoyed every bite! Jim, the owner, overheard us talking to the cashier about us being here for the first time and went by our table to make sure everything are burgers were made well. Very nice guy, you can tell he takes pride in his restaurant, not very many owners stop by to converse with customers. I will be returning for years to come! read more

Well for one thing they sell BLUE BELL here! And so many flavors of it!! That is my main reason for going. The food is good, its like...a home cooked diner but better. There is LOTs of space, perfect for groups. Free Wifi and open 24 hrs. I live 3 hrs away from my best friend so when i go back to canton we go straight to Dairy palace. I admit we are those offenders who keep getting coffee refills, every now and then order more food and just sit and use the wifi. But they are ok with that! The service is always nice adn does a good job. (which I think is impressive since they have alot of highschool staff) Its a great place to stop and cool off from first monday trade days. But be warned! it may be a big place but a LOT of people love it so it can be pretty busy! read more

We had been on the road for awhile and was looking for a good place to stop. This was perfect. The burger was fresh and so were the onion rings. And it was quick. Fun place to stop between Dallas and Shreveport! Missed the rush and ordered at counter. Burger was ready by the time I walked out of the restroom. The tables are kept clean and the ac was cool. The Dairy Palace is one of those restaurants that LOOKS like it put all of its effort into attracting your attention but when you decide to actually try eating there you'll find that the food is as outstanding as all the signs claim it is. They have over 23 different types of wonderful burgers and at least ten different combinations of toppings to make your meal custom tailored to your dining preferences. The extra large portions of perfectly prepared onion rings, straight cut fries, curly fries, or sweet potato fries are a great compliment to any one of their burgers. The biscuits, while inspired by grandma, are no longer cooked by her...and the table-top tents suggest her recipe is no longer used - which should lead you to ask who cooks these biscuits, and whose recipe is being used? In the end it doesn't matter...because the white gravy smothering the biscuit will make a tire tasty. It's that good. Super impressed with the Dairy Palace! Traveling from Pensacola to San Diego (we are stopping to see friends) and we heard this place was great! It didn't disappoint! Milkshakes were so good and their turnover was even better! We asked them if they had any type of military discount and they said, they did not, however when we pulled up to the window, someone had already taken care of our bill.
