For pick at 11am on THURSDAY. I received the email confirmation saying the cake will be ready at 11am. THEN I get a call in the morning saying they had some staffing issues and the cake wouldn't be ready at 11am, if i could pick it up later in the afternoon. They said it would be ready after 4pm, or I could pick it up on Friday. My sister goes in at 7pm on Thursday to pick it up. The cake is not ready. The person at the counter looks confused saying, oh I thought this was rescheduled to Friday. I go back in on Friday at noon. Cake is still NOT READY. apparently the cake maker person decided to make other cakes before mine?!?! She didn't even look like she gave a damn. The poor guy at the front looked so apologetic, he was at least nice about the situation. My sister goes back in later in the afternoon to pick up the cake. The cake is FINALLY available for pick up. FUCKING CAKE HAS NO FUDGE CRUNCH LAYER?!?! She made me a cake with only vanilla and chocolate ice cream?!?! Like seriously I was so embarrassed, I had taken this cake to an event and I looked so dumb raving about a fudge crunch layer that didn't exist. I also noticed I had a 5% cash back deal on my credit card for a Baskin-Robbins purchase, so needless to say, I had to go out and treat myself to some ice cream for a 34.45% (not 36% if you do the math correctly) discount. When I came in, an employee (Humerah?) welcomed me and told me that I was free to sample however many flavors I'd like. I hadn't taken advantage of the 31% off offer since I hadn't gotten around to it yet, so I wasn't sure if the 31% off would still apply for a double or a triple scoop, but Humerah said it would. As much as I appreciate the opportunity to sample flavors before making a purchase, I definitely did not want to sample 31 different flavors lol. I tried samples of the flavors that initially caught my eye: Love Potion #31, Winter White Chocolate, and The Grahammy, in this particular order. I had been to other Baskin-Robbins a handful of times before, but don't recall seeing those flavors since they appear to be pop-up flavors that will get taken off the menu soon after this review gets posted. I especially appreciated how Humerah was very courteous and patient while I was trying to downselect the flavors for my desired triple-scoop. Victimized by analysis paralysis, I had momentarily forgotten that each flavor name posted on the ice cream chests was supplemented by a description until I saw the one for The Grahammy. She was still happy to answer my questions even when the answers were right in front of me lol. I went with the triple scoop of the three flavors I had just tried samples of. The flavors were stacked in the same order as I tried them from bottom to top, meaning that I tried The Grahammy first. Upon checkout, Humerah offered a spoon, a lid, as well as a takeout bag to go with my triple-scoop cup. For some reason, I saw a cup of a single scoop in front of the register when I was paying. There wasn't any other customer inside the shop when I arrived, but there was a family that came in after me, and they were still trying to decide what to get when I had made my choices. The shop has the flavor name as The Grahammy, but their website simply says The Graham. Whatever the name is, just know that it's a Flavor of the Month that consists of chocolate covered honeycomb pieces and honey graham cracker swirls. I know some people don't like nuts in their ice cream, but if you haven't had graham crackers in ice cream before, don't knock it until you try it! The combination of flavors and crunchy pieces together made such a nice medley that I highly recommend trying this flavor before it goes away! The Winter White Chocolate has white chocolate flavor (duh lol), but also contains pieces of cherries inside. I ate this second, but wish I could have cleansed my palate immediately after The Grahammy so that I could have experienced the taste of cherries in the Winter White Chocolate. Even so, the three scoops were all presented in a single cup, so it would be pretty easy to have a spoonful of two different flavors at the same time. I remember the sample tasting much better, however, to the point where I was sold on choosing that flavor. Love Potion #31 is a seasonal flavor that consists of both white chocolate and raspberries. Kind of like Winter White Chocolate I'd say, but with a different fruit lol. I felt the raspberries were a little sour here, but it was a nice contrast of flavor from the sweeter flavors I had already gotten. I'm assuming the flavor will be removed from the menu after Valentine's Day, so I'm glad I got to try it before the fact. Inside, there are two tables: one that seats four, and a bar-style table that seats about a half dozen. There's a kiosk at the end of the bar-style table that I am assuming you can use to place your order if you'd prefer minimal interactions with the employees. Also, the bottom of the receipt has an option for you to provide some feedback within three days of your purchase to get a coupon for $1 off your next purchase of at least $4. I almost considered giving them 4 stars because I didn't really taste the Winter White Chocolate, but I don't think I will. I think it was just a case of too much good being no good; I had never even consumed a double-scoop before, unless you count a BOGO single scoop as one. The triple scoop here definitely cooled me down on this hot day, and it was a nice treat after a pretty hectic week of work. And for a grand total of less than $7 after my two discounts? Can't beat that in today's economy! As I was driving west on South, I suddenly remembered there was a Baskin-Robbins at the intersection of Bloomfield, and I was wondering why there would be two Baskin-Robbins within close proximity of one another. The reason? That Baskin-Robbins on Bloomfield moved to this location at Cerritos Plaza.

Most of us ordered from the Lunch & Munch Combo menu, which was such a good deal at $11.99. There're quite a few options, and it included a drink and a chocolate chip cookie. We're told that they're going to include a half French dip sandwich option plus a couple other options and raise the price to $13.99, which still wasn't bad compared to other restaurants these days. I had the Half Sandwich Lunch Special with the Roasted Turkey Sandwich on Wheat with Market Vegetables, and a Mango Iced Tea. I chose to eat lighter so that I wouldn't feel too guilty upgrading my cookie to a slice of pie. (It's Polly's Pies after all, and I felt obliged to try some of their pies.) I liked that their iced tea was unsweetened and had a subtle hint of mango flavor. My sandwich bread was toasted really well, the lettuce and tomato slices inside were fresh, and there's a good amount of sliced deli turkey. The market vegetables side was much better than I expected. It was cooked to perfection with quite a variety of vegetables and the seasoning was on point. It would be even better if there's less butter or even no butter. I was delighted with my slice of banberry pie, which had big pieces of fresh banana and strawberry, a flaky crust and it wasn't too sweet. The first time I had such a pie, and it wouldn't be the last time. Overall, a solid lunch place and everyone in our party had a good time.
