This is a new location that moved from Bloomfield and South (behind Carrows). The store is pretty big inside, and there are more tables than the old location had. The workers were helpful and gave us a few samples. Typical Baskin-Robbins flavors, but man has it gotten expensive. It was more than $8 for two scoops of ice cream. The ice cream was good, but I don't know if I'd come back and pay that much for Baskin-Robbins. There are a lot of the specialty ice cream shops - Sorry/Not Sorry, Handels, Brusters - that have better ice cream for about the same price or even cheaper.

This became our new Baskin-Robbins spot after the old one on South Street near Bloomfield closed. We actually came here a couple times even before the grand opening and again on the day they officially opened. The staff here are awesome. They always greet us with a smile and are super friendly and attentive. The shop is clean and has a few seats if you want to stay and enjoy your ice cream. Only downside is the parking situation. The plaza itself is big, but spots right in front tend to be packed. Pro tip: park on the Ralph's side if you don't mind a short walk. Overall, we love coming here. The great service and friendly vibes keep us coming back!

New location, same friendly service. Briefly spoke to the owners and I'm happy they found a closer location that's walking distance to me.

Employees are friendly and helpful, even during the busiest times like this Saturday evening. Big windows show the cleanliness inside the store, and how hard the employees are working to fill orders. There are tons on flavors to choose from. Tonight, I opted for a Black Raspbery Truffle and Strawberry Cheesecake sundae with chocolate sauce and my son chose the Salted Caramel Truffle sundae. Both hit the spot on such a hot evening. Can't wait for our next Handel's treat.

We saw how large the scoops were on other customers' orders so we each decided on one scoop in a bowl. They have various cone options and waffle bowls if desired. There were quite a few young people working hard in the little enclosed kitchen. We ordered and picked up outside at the window. I was dying for an ice cream sandwich but theirs featured oreos as the cookie so I passed. Hubby got vanilla ice cream, his go to flavor, and i tried the blueberry cobbler. His scoop was a little larger than mine, so that was a bit annoying. He enjoyed his vanilla. The blueberry cobbler was divine; the vanilla was swirled with a good amount of blueberry that tasted fresh. The "cobbler" bits were pieces of sugar cookie, which were not bad but not much flavor, just sugary. There were crumbles as well as little cookie bits. We agreed they offer a quality product and a good sized serving for the price. I would return to try some of the other flavors!

The tea had a really good, rich tea base, which made the drink stand out. They have a great variety of Taiwanese dishes, from savory comfort food to snacks and desserts. We tried their popcorn chicken, and it was on point! It had that familiar Taiwanese flavor and seasoning I was hoping for. Very crispy, savory, and full of that classic taste. Definitely a must-order if you love Taiwanese-style popcorn chicken! Their beef noodle soup was another highlight. It was warm and hearty. It's the kind of bowl that feels like a cozy meal, especially when you're craving something soothing and satisfying. Their shaved ice is a bestseller as well. The ice is incredibly smooth and fluffy, and the portion is really huge, it's definitely big enough to share. It's the perfect refreshing dessert for a hot summer day. The servers were very attentive, and the restaurant itself is spacious and comfortable. Parking is shared with the other restaurants in the plaza, so expect it to get pretty packed during rush hours and especially on weekends. Overall, a great spot for Taiwanese food and a refreshing boba fix!

It was Sunday night so it was quite packed but I was able to score the last table. They have food and dessert and I opted for the mango shaved ice. Dessert came out pretty quickly. I really enjoyed the shaved ice. It was super flavorful (unlike some other shaved ice where the bottom half is just ice). I was tempted to order a drink but the shaved ice was a huge portion, so was too full. I was also wanted to give a huge shout out to the employees there. They were nice and efficient and I didn't feel rushed to leave (I stayed about an hour there). Definitely will be back. Really enjoyed the experience.

The Ube Monster is consistently my go to and they seriously know how to do ube right, not just with their drinks but their pastries and desserts too. Personally I think Cafe 86 has one of the best halo halo around. Even compared to a lot of Filipino restaurants and dessert places I've tried, this one stands out. I'd even take their halo halo over Chowking or Red Ribbon. Cafe 86 is basically what I think a modern Filipino halo halo and ube dessert spot should be. Not to mention always friendly staff and super comfy seating. Nice place to chill and catch up for desserts tho a lil small. They've mastered ube here and I love that they're bringing Filipino flavors into more modern drinks and desserts without losing what makes them good in the first place. I go back all the time and will continue to!!

It was nice to learn that they offer both kinds of halo halo in the smaller size. The only new surprise is now they charge extra to change the vanilla ice cream to the Ube ice cream. It was nice they still let us eat in, but as soon as it hit 9:00pm, they went out from the back and told us they were closed and sort of pushed us out as fast as they were able to.

For soft serve ice cream, the shop offers three different levels of matcha. Level 1 = "I am new to matcha or I like matcha" with 85 mg of caffeine. Level 2 = "I LOVE matcha" with 170 mg of caffeine.
