I've been eating at Jim's for years, and it's consistently one of my favorite spots in the area. Their breakfast burritos are hands down my favorite around--always satisfying and packed with flavor. The burgers and fries are also excellent. In my opinion, they're better than Paul's, and the prices are much more reasonable for the quality and portion sizes you get. One thing I really appreciate is that I can call ahead and have my order ready when I arrive. It's a huge time-saver, especially on busy mornings or lunch breaks. This place doesn't look like much on the outside. My husband found it on google. It looks like the inside restaurant is closed, but they do have outdoor seating available. The prices are affordable, and it seems like it's mostly the locals in the area that go to this place. All you see is cars pulling up and picking up phone orders. I find this super exciting. The food must be good. You can tell it wasn't door dash pick-ups either. We ordered: 1. Special breakfast burrito (It comes with bacon, ham, and sausage with egg, hashbrowns, cheese, and hot sauce.)- This had a little too much tomatoes and you couldn't taste the meat. We had put some country fried steak on it, and it was way better. 2. Country fried steak with gravy comes with biscuits and eggs - I was super excited for this, I was literally going to order a side of biscuits and gravy. It was a layer of biscuits, country fried steak smothered on gravy. I even asked for a side of gravy just in case. This hit the spot on a nice fall morning. 3. Bacon breakfast sandwich (hold the lettuce and tomato) - The bacon was crispy and meaty along with the fluffy bread. This was delicious. The lady who took my order was nice. The food itself was reasonably priced. They had a special for the special breakfast burrito, which was like $7.99. The country fried steak, I think, was like $12.99. For all the items I purchased, I think I paid $40, and that included a tip. I can't wait to come back and try more items. read more

I was in the area for a trip and found this whole in the wall, and it is a whole in the wall type place, reminds me of a burger spot in the LA area. Nonetheless we decided to give it a chance as we were looking for a sit down place but not really a restaurant and cost effective and this fit the bill. At fist it doesn't seem to have inside seating are but it does on the other side of the ordering window, small dining area but inside, there is also outside seating areas but non can accommodate large parties over 4-5 people. We order simple burgers and they burgers were really good they have that old school mom and pop vibe and taste which I love! But what shined was their fries! I'm a frequent customer of Jim's Burgers as I live relatively close. However, if I lived further away, I would continue to make my way to Jim's because of the quality of their food. A small, unassuming establishment on the corner of Ball Rd and Knott Ave. We visited on a weekend evening and ordered a breakfast burrito, lettuce-wrapped double bacon cheeseburger, zucchini fries, and a bulgogi burger. Just a heads up: while they do accept card, there is a 4% surcharge. They also charge extra for sauces. They do not serve orders by the sequence it was received; for instance, they served several people who arrived after we did, though understandably, their orders were comparatively smaller. We were not the only ones who received our order well-after new patrons - there was another gentleman there waiting for his order before we had arrived, and was experiencing what we were. It was well over 30 minutes before we finally received our food. The bulgogi burger I ordered was very flavorful and simple. It was literally just bulgogi, lettuce, and grilled onions in a bun. The bite I took of the breakfast burrito was also quite good, and though I didn't try it with their salsa, I was told the salsa had a nice kick and complemented the burrito well. The zucchini fries had a very light batter, but it was a bit underseasoned. The ranch really helped. The place isn't perfect, but for it being small (there were only 3 workers inside) and a local spot (you can tell there were regulars who frequented there just from how they went straight to the window to order without even glancing at the menu), I'd say it's worth trying if you're in the area. read more

This is the least expected spot you'll ever find a Bulgogi burger. But it's here, a Bulgogi burger in a dinky corner shop in this low-key sketchy area. It tasted amazing. It literally packed a punch. It's not a burger patty, it's bulgogi meat with such rich flavoring. Although we must warn you, you'll feel parched for a moment of time. I've been on the hunt for the best BULGOGI burger in LA and OC, and I think I found it! Jim's looks like your typical fast-food burger joint you'd find on any street corner. The neighborhood is a bit sketchy but you don't come here for the ambiance. The first thing I noticed was that the bulgogi burger was huge and dripping with juices. They make them with all bulgogi rather than topping a burger patty like other places. After the first bite I was completely hooked! It tasted amazing with that charred texture and juicy flavor. It was so juicy it required about 25 napkins. I would insist on eating it here piping hot rather than letting it get cold and soggy. Everything else was pretty standard for a burger joint, but again, it's the bulgogi burger that really sets this place apart. Staff is always very friendly and caters to their customers.
