Food The food here feels very homey and hits the spot when you want a classic breakfast. I have to give a shout out to the toast because it is absolutely AMAZING and the blueberry pancakes are some of the fluffiest I have ever had. My kids were all about their meal and they completely loved the dollar sized pancakes which is a big win for parents. I tried the corned hash and while the portion is large it was not as crunchy as I hoped it would be but it still tasted good. Service The staff is attentive and the wait time is not bad at all which I appreciate. I did notice a few mishaps during the meal like them not providing enough drinks or utensils for everyone at the table right away. It was a minor annoyance but they are friendly enough that it did not ruin the experience. Things moved quickly overall and I felt taken care of despite the small hiccups with the setup. Environment This place has a great local homey vibe that makes you feel comfortable as soon as you walk in. The parking is decent so I did not have to stress about finding a spot before getting my coffee fix. Oh. My. Goodness... run, don't walk to Kimmie's for their seasonal special, pumpkin pancakes! I don't usually order pancakes at all but these are waaay worth it! Fluffy and so yummy, complete with pumpkiny spices. We started eating everything before taking photos, we couldn't wait! The pancakes come with whipped cream and syrup. Honesty, they don't even need the extra sweetness. Our actual entrees were also delicious and perfectly satisfying with generous portions. We were a party of 3 looking for a place to have lunch today. It was about noon. We parked and walked into the open door. This was our first time here. When we walked in, we waited for someone to greet us. Instead we saw an irritated server telling the kitchen that the eggs were wrong and something about the customer. 2 employees walked by us and never looked our way. 2 ladies walked in behind us and finally one of them said to a woman at the counter, "Can we take this table for 2?" The lady told her that she had to put her name in. None of us knew that or where it was. She then told them to walk to the other door. So, we walked to the other door. I asked an employee if we could put our name in and she completely ignored me and walked past us. So, we walked out the door. When we walked around the ladies that were behind us had already walked out. We had a short conversation about how rude the employees were and how they lost out on 5 people trying to eat there. They mustn't have been local so they asked us for recommendations and we sent them on their way and we went to another restaurant. It's a shame that all those employees didn't seem to care if there were people walking out of their restaurant. Needless to say, we will never be back. read more

We love ourselves a good Kimmie's breakfast on our day off! However, this time the waitress was upset about my comment on my overcooked waffle. I know I'm Mexican, but I definitely know what a Belgian waffle should look like. I'm happy we got a discount, but please. Put yourself in our shoes. Prices have gone up everywhere. If I'm paying for it, might as well get it how I like it. Now, I know how to order for next time. She did offer to have another one made. Nevertheless, it wasn't what she said. I have been coming to kimmies once a week for the past like 10 years. They are the sweetest people. When i go on Friday mornings we always have the same waitress and we don't even need to say a word. My family loves to visit Kimmie's cup on our slow mornings and order to-go on our busy ones. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and patient. Food is always consistent. We love their breakfast burritos, any pancake flavor, and biscuits and gravy. Their muffins are also very delicious. Since the pandemic, they have added outside seating which helps with the longer wait times during the peak breakfast hours. So here's a tip for the lighter eaters. .. if you ask them if you could get a certain dish but scale back a bit a bit; guess what? They will suggest some options and it costs less too! Also I love how this Kimmie's has a patio and usually every time I eat in the patio with my pups they kind of forget about you. But not this place. In late May of this year, I was planning on going back to SoCal for my dad's birthday. A few high school friends wanted to meet up with me, since I don't make it back home as often as I should, so we made plans to have a small reunion at Kimmie's Coffee Cup in Cypress. I had been to another Kimmie's location years ago, so I knew it was going to have a welcoming and casual vibe, and it didn't disappoint! I got there on a Friday morning at 11 am. Kimmie's, a standalone business in the parking lot at a strip mall, was highly visible since it was right off the street. Parking, although shared with all of the neighboring businesses, is free and plentiful. I loved the relaxed feel that I immediately got when I walked inside. Natural light streamed through the tall, clear glass windows, and it was easy to see that I was the first of our group to arrive. The restaurant was at about 1/4th full. An employee, who turned out to be the host and one of the servers, welcomed me and led me to a booth after I told her that there may be up to five people for lunch. She gave me 5 menus to review, and brought me a glass of water while I waited. Within 15 minutes two other friends showed up and joined me, starting our small reunion and catching up on happenings in our lives since we last saw each other. Our server was so efficient and alert. She took our orders and was not intrusive at all. I think she caught on real quickly that we hadn't seen each other in a while. Our server provided great service throughout the time we were there. The food was good. Two of us had ordered the chicken fried steak. I ordered mine with gravy on top of the chicken fried steak, scrambled eggs and hash browns, and a half order of biscuit and gravy. The wait for our food wasn't very long, and everything was hot. I wasn't expecting quite so much food; the portions were big! Everything was filling and mighty tasty. I would definitely suggest ordering this to anyone eating at Kimmie's Coffee Cup. One more of our friends showed up and the four of us were so engrossed in our conversations and memories that we didn't even realize that Kimmie's had closed for the day at 2 pm, and we were the only customers remaining in the restaurant. By 2:20 pm, I looked around and saw that some of the chairs had been put up on tables to make it easier for the employees to clean the floors. As we scrambled to get our belongings and leave, we apologized to our server, who was readying the place for tomorrow's customers, and left. First time here , I've been wanting to try this cute little breakfast place. The service was really really slow. I ordered the country fried steak and it was very good. Shoutout to the cooks working hard to serve up good food. I was looking forward to a good cup of coffee but was disappointed, it was weak and watered down. my friend ordered oatmeal and tea. It is a sit down experience, so have the time needed to be served and enjoy it - when the kids want it for breakfast on a school day we get up early. My boyfriend and I live around the area and wanted to find a new breakfast spot and I've seen this place sometimes when I drive by so I thought we should go here and try it! We went pretty early around 7:15AM and it wasn't busy at all. Parking lot is a little small but there's also street parking available. The place was really cute. Loved the vibe, super cozy! Also the big windows was a plus! We had Leslie as our waitress and she was great. So welcoming and very accommodating! Service was fast and the food also came out fast too. The food was great! More than I expected to I really couldn't finish it all. I got the Cali Benedict with Bacon and he got the Ham and Egg with the side of biscuit and gravy. He devoured it! My friend and I met up here for brunch today. I have been wanting to visit since I passed by the Fullerton location many times before and it looked really cute and cozy from the outside and it definitely was exactly that when I entered inside. The decorations are all very circa early 2000's but cute and there's a lot of affirming decor around the store. Right as I entered I was greeted by a lovely lady. I wish I got her name but she ended up being our server as well and she was very friendly and nice. I ordered an orange juice with the bread pudding French toast and my friend got the country scrambler with sour dough toast. The bread pudding French toast was huge and came with berries piled on top and what seamed like a cream cheese whip underneath the berries. It was so fluffy and moist. I had to take most of it home because it was so filling. It comes with syrup and butter but it's already so sweet, you can skip the syrup. I did put some butter on each bite though and that really added to the flavor. At the end when my friend and I were talking, another server came by with the check and then togo containers which was so considerate since we didn't have to ask. read more

We are long term customers of Kimmies. Overall, the food is usually very good. Really love the French toast bread pudding. My husband also likes their sandwiches.
