Love Dairy Queen but was at this Dairy Queen in Glen Rose, Tx today and the assistant manager was awful. Older lady that would not wait on the customers but acted as if she didn't see the long line in front of the only register going that she was working at. She was bickering the entire time, unless she turned around to talk hateful to the other employees, who was actually trying to do their work. She was so hateful. When people started getting out of line to leave since she would not take their orders then she got hateful and said rude things about that out loud in front of others. How desperate to hire such a bad woman. Don't go there unless you want your day ruined. DQ is supposed to be a happy place with great food and treats! This lady ruins it all! read more

I ordered a 4 piece steak finger combo. The literal only thing they got right was the drink. The lady taking my order sounded like she hated me, and also glared at me when I got up to the window. I then pay for the already pricey food, to discover that they gave me a 4 piece chicken tender with ranch. I ordered steak fingers with gravy. The worst part is that they didn't even give me normal sized pieces, they gave me small chicken nugget pieces that are all barely chicken and mostly just the fried crust. Terrible Dairy Queen, worker should be terminated and I should be refunded. 1/10 read more

It is so sad. I am not sure what has happened to this quaint little friendly Dairy Queen. For more than 10 years we have been regular customers. We live 25 minutes away but would drive here to meet friends sometimes weekly. We also attended church in Glen Rose at one time and had lunch here most every Sunday. Usually there were at least five kids and 4 adults...buying meals then blizzards and having a grand time. NOW there has been a quick and unfortunate turn around. Management must have changed, employees became less experienced and caring, disorganization took over and cleanliness went to the waste side. My latest meal was no doubt a hamburger that was completely put together (including lettuce and tomato) and was then microwaved within an inch of its life. It was a hot mess...literally. We also had wrong orders in our group and forgotten items. No apologies no taking any fault. The flies were abundant and the tables were dirty. I had hoped Dairy Queen would withstand all of the new competitors coming in...instead it seems they have thrown in the towel and given up. WELL, you sent your message to a large group of long term customers. We will surely be meeting at a competitors from now on. With a brand new Whataburger across the street and a Grumps two blocks down we will bid you a farewell and thanks for the memories---except for the last three times we kept "giving you another chance" like a bad boyfriend. You aren't changing your ways only getting worse. KEEP DRIVING PEOPLE there are lots of better choices than surly teens and microwaved lettuce. read more

I enjoy Dairy Queen blizzards. My favorite is a Heath Blizzard. My husbands is an M&M Blizzard. Never disappointed with a Blizzard. The food is pretty basic and similar to any other dairy queen. However, this location is very understaffed. We waited in line for 15 to 20 minutes just to get cold food and melted ice cream. The staff at the window didn't even flip the blizzard upside down because she couldn't, that's all melted they were. Maybe try the Burger King down the street. read more

Came here twice while in town for the drive through zoo, both times we were impressed with how clean this place was. We appreciate how well the staff were handlining covid protocols. We felt the staff were doing everything in their power to be covid smart and just overall stepping up their game. Got hamburgers one day. They were ok. Then another day got chicken finger baskets. The fries were not fresh. They were not even edible. We gave them to our dog. Poor dog! The chicken was fresher, but had a bitter taste to it, like it was cooked in old oil. Maybe that is the way they always taste. It is way over-priced also. Biggest DQ we've seen! Excellent quick dinner stop after being outside all day. The kids loved the outdoor playground while we waited for our food. Service was kind, food was cooked fresh to order and the large bathrooms were very clean! It was a bit busy at the time we went so we did notice some dirty tables/floors but they started cleaning up as we left and the order line died down. I went here a few times, ok maybe a lot. But,it's still a good place to eat when you try to get a quick bite. We ordered some dude chicken sandwiches with a coupon for three people. The sandwich was really crunchy and wasn't leaking oil like a lot of fried stuff. It cost about twenty dollars which is a decent amount of money for three people. We wish they would send more coupons out more often though so that we could go more often. Me and my family like to eat here since they have cheaper deals. Restaurants need more coupons to bring other people in for the sweet deals! Sometimes they need to change the deals though people like something different now and then. Well, it's a Dairy Queen...what more can a person say, right? Well, we had just spent the 114 degree day at the nearby Fossil Rim Wildlife Center and were a bit HOT and tired and wanted something cold and refreshing so we opted for DQ! A pleasant surprise was they were offering $.79 cent cones so this was definitely a "score" for us! We hit the drive-thru line and were served quickly, kindly and effectively. Great service - the best in town - this place is always busy. The prices are right. An ice cream sandwich here is only 49 cents - ordered slushy in happy hour for 89 cents. On top of that the place is very clean. DQ is one of our favorite rural haunts when we venture out into the country. So we had planned an exciting day of stopping at the DQ on the way to the Fossil Rim wildlife center. I was a little surprised that DQ now costs more than Smashburger. Anyway, after ordering, we sit down, and there is a hair and ice cream dribbles stuck to the table. Like, STUCK. Gross. Then we got our food. I don't know how you serve a room-temperature hamburger and fries, unless of course it's been sitting there for a while. One bite, and I had to throw it all away. It's also nice when chicken fingers are served in a clean basket. The manager was very apologetic and gave us a refund. Said there was a new cook in the kitchen. Maybe - but given that all the food was seventy-six degrees, I think they cooked everything early in the morning and just left it there. It's too bad.
