Was very impressed with the food for the price. My wife and I both got cheeseburgers. Ingredients tasted fresh and patties were cooked fresh to order. Fries were crispy and tasted homemade and the sweet potato fries were good too. Cheeseburger was only $6 which was a steal for the quality. Definitely recommend if you're in the area! It's so nice that there is now a Grump's in Glen Rose. So when we come to visit there's yummy burgers. I just wish when I ordered a burger with no bun, they would've brought it without the bun. The girl serving our table acted like it was a bother, so I didn't ask to send it back, but just for future reference-- for people with allergies, maybe don't act like asking for what we ordered in the first place is that big of a deal? Otherwise, great service from the girl at the register and the manager walking around was friendly. It's a cool atmosphere with sports going on the TVs and the restrooms are very nice! read more

We stopped here on 6/6/2025 for lunch, having tried their food at another location before. The staff greeted us and seemed genuinely happy to have us there. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich (grilled jalapeños added) and onion rings. My woman got the BLT with sweet potato fries. Our sandwiches were delicious. Made to order so you are gonna wait, but boy, is it worth it. The jalapeños were ON FIRE and on point. My lady said her BLT was amazing. Our only complaint was the sides came out between room temp and lukewarm. I came back today, 6/30/25, and ordered the chicken sandwich with grilled jalapeños again with sweet potato fries on the side. The jalapeños were forgotten with my sandwich, and the side was barely warm again. But everything was still delicious. For service, though, and overall quality, this is a solid choice in a town with some strong restaurant contenders. 04/2025 - My wife and I came to Grumps Burgers for the first time during our visit to Glen Rose. We were in search of a good burger and this place popped up right away. The restaurant itself is spacious, great for large and small parties. It gives a sports bar vibe and has a great selection of burgers and drinks, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. I decided to order the "Bacon Cheeseburger" with a side of "Sweet Potato Fries." The burger was delicious!!! The buns were soft and the patty was thick and cooked medium-wellish, slight pink and still juicy. The bacon was perfectly crisp and I always appreciate melted cheese. The sweet potato fries were also good. To top off the food and the ambiance the pricing was fair and the service was also exceptional! Everyone was super nice and attentive to our needs throughout our meal. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!! read more

Small, overcooked and overpriced burgers. Two junior burger combos and a cheeseburger with no extras or drinks was, 28 bucks. Seriously, if you want a decent cheeseburger, fries and a drink without having to pay 15 bucks, go to Whataburger or Braums. Even though we were literally across the street from this location of Grumps Burgers last spring, we trekked out to the Granbury one because we wanted to go to the original. It was awesome, and so when we were back in Glen Rose recently, we decided to come here for dinner. This location is great, but we have to say we didn't love it as much as the original. Service is absolutely top notch--everyone is so friendly and inviting and kind. They've also got the peanuts! But something about its brand spanking newness just doesn't lend it the same charm. We also put in a huge order and it was kind of annoying that they waited to bring everything out all at the same time. For example, we ordered a small side salad and some fried pickles, and we would have appreciated if those came to the table first (pretty sure they did it that way at the Granbury location). Speaking of the pickles, they were pretty bad because they were so super thinly sliced that they essentially just tasted like salt bomb crackers as opposed to actual fried pickles. We did love their homemade green chile ranch with the salad, and needless to say, the burgers are still amazing. We shared the guacamole burger and the grilled chicken sandwich, and both were excellent. The sweet potato fries were solid, and our kiddo was also happy with her cheeseburger and regular fries. We're landing on four stars (per minor gripes above) because the value is insane--hello $4 Happy Hour beers!--and while it's unlikely that we will find ourselves in Glen Rose again anytime soon, we we would still enthusiastically recommend this location to others who are in the area because it's a great welcoming place to go. read more

I wasn't excited about grumps going in but I changed my mind really quick after trying it out. The burgers are good (great if you upgrade to a jalapeño bun!!), the fries are great and the ranch is AMAZING. The frozen margs are awesome, the only flavor they offer is sangria though, I really wish they would add another flavor or two just to mix it up. The wait is generally very long for food, 30 minutes after ordering is the shortest we have experienced, upwards of an hour on other occasions. So if you don't mind waiting this is a great spot, I believe you can also call ahead and get an order started if you are starving! read more
